- Lets look at a Husqvarna 346XP chainsaw that needs a cylinder base gasket. I'll directly show you how that leak effects the way the saw runs and we'll talk a little bit about what an air leak is. #smallenginerepair

I check my nuts bolts screws everything on all my saws pretty much after every cord of wood when i clean them. I didn't when i was young but now my stuff really means something to me lol! Those 346s really port and hotrod up nice they really perform!
Nice repair! Thanks for sharing!!
346xp is one bad arse saw!
Nice work
OMG! Double Schmutz Thanks for the video Scott! Always learning from your vids! P.S. After watching a quite of few of your videos, It makes me want to buy a chain saw. I have no use to own a chain saw, but I want one so I can just fire it up and hear it run and and say if it ever breaks down I could maybe fix because of you!
Cool
Did the factory not apply Loctite 242 blue medium strength to those cylinder bolts?
Four cycle guys🤣🤣
lacking in sophistry & adroitness.
Just curious................. not that I would just crank down those loose screws (😗) but do you know how well that "field" repair would go long term? 🤣
two hours more till it goes off to the sophisticated two-stroke Guru?
@PelicanIslandLabs There's no way of knowing without looking at the gasket but because there was such a major change after tightening I'd say it would have been alright.
10 Fig Newtons are how many inch pounds? Almost 89. Speaking of Newton, by his theory the atmosphere has weight due to Earth gravity and that gravity forces air into the vacuum of our cylinders during intake strokes, But, according to another smart feller, Einstein, gravity can not force atmosphere into our motors because gravity (according to him) is NOT a force at all, but rather the effect of mass bending time or some such nonsense. My saw ran perfectly today, so why should I care??? Its all relative. lol
