This is very informative. Would appreciate if you can clear my one doubt regarding emergency power supply to steering control system on the bridge in case of blackout. My question is, Are both the steering controls connected to emergency switchboard or is it only one connected to ESB just like only one steering motor is connected to ESB?

Hi sir, only one steering gear system is connected to ESB. it is enough to steer ng ship when only Emergency Generator is running.

What kind of sensors are mounted on rudder to know its position apart from the ones on actuator.
What is the coordination between the heading set and actuator movement.

What you do in case of an actuator alarm failure, where should you point attention

Boss lecky rollsroyes din steering ng barko ko bkit ung hidrolic luck ko nka steady lng ung ilaw n alarm nya,,minsan nwawala nagpalit ako ng solinoid gnun pdin

Normally,, sa solenoid valve and problema ng hydraulic lock.. check mo din ung electrical signal.minsan kailangan i-adjust ung setting ng hydraulic valve block.. check mo sa steering manual ung procedure ng setting.
