Radio link with wfb_ng, qOpenHD used on the ground to render telemetry as OSD over the video.
8Mbit/s at MCS1(-79dBm) standard long range mode, tested to 28km. • Comparing video modes ...
15Mbit/s at MCS3(-74dBm) high details mode. Most of the clip
20Mbit/s at MCS4(-70dBm) very high details, limited range. • Comparing video modes ...
3.5Mbit/s at MCS0(-82dBm) emergency very long range. • Comparing video modes ...
    each 6dBm double the range.
all 30fps modes have about 80ms latency.
60fps modes (65ms latency) at 20Mbit/s(MCS4) and 15Mbit/s(MCS3) need sensor tuning for sharpness and details.

90fps and 120fps modes are also available for even lower latency.
All modes mapped to a 6pos switch on the Tx. Board temperature reported on the third row at top-right.

Can i use inav fo OSD?

do you think a lower resolution at the higher bitrate might give a more stable image? there seems to be a lot of packet loss or just random glitching in the feed. nice to see a whole flight thought instead of the short clips. any color adjustments available or maybe stick an ND filter on there the image seems a little blown out.

Antennas were rotated by the wind (and fixed by hand),one of them had its connector broken so diversity was almost unavailable. There is a 2 second freeze when changing MCS index at the moment.

Sweet! Thou a question about OSD - is this the OpenIPC one or WFB-ng? I put up a test setup With a goke gk7205v200 and the OSD is pretty bear bones unlike yours

It's on the second line of the description : " qOpenHD used on the ground to render telemetry as OSD over the video"

And when there is high LOSS and the picture breaks, is it because of the high bit rate, or because of interference from the village?

I was testing the cam and overlooked the wifi setup, one antenna had it's connector broken. Same radio setup had reached 14km at MCS1, so the range at MCS3 should be about 8km. ruclips.net/video/AcggAN_esbo/видео.html

    What does MCS mean?

    • @thedausthed

It is Wi-Fi's "Modulation Coding Scheme", which tells you what modulation and coding a Wi-Fi link is using. With Wi-Fi dropping to lower bandwidth, but more robust modulation and coding based on the signal strength.

So how is it compared to DJI and Walksnail?

    • @unixoid33
      @unixoid33 8 месяцев назад +1

you can watch the DVR recordings of walsnail and DJI yourself. And compare.
For me, dji/walksnail is still superior in quality. At least o3 gives a better picture. however, the price tag for o3 is very high. but if you compare with walksnail, then the prices are already close. imx415 50 euros + ac56 let's say 30 euros plus assembly time and setup comes out to about 100 euros. for 100 euros you can already buy a walksnail 1S

@@unixoid33 but on the RX, youll have to buy a 300€ receiver while for openipc you can use your own damn computer that you already have. Which is something I look forward to in particular as I'm tired of goggles.

@@thirdpartycookie It’s true that a laptop or laptop is cheaper than glasses. However, wearing googles is much more convenient and comfortable. one feels immersed in flight. while with the monitor you feel like just an airplane operator. Again, the laptop in the field is big, you need a table with a chair. and most importantly, you need some kind of box so that the light does not fall on the screen.

I compare the video quality of six different modes in OpenIPC. Feel free to compare them with widely available videos of other systems.
