This is how GPS spoofing looks like in flight. This is not jamming, this is fooling the receiver to think it is in different location. Take a look how home bearing arrow changed at around 0:11. Testing a new $20 camera module with OpenIPC. ssc30kq with imx335 sensor. Sound is embedded in the video stream transmitted by the camera. 15Mbit/s H265 video, 30 and 60fps mode, 3.6mm lens, MCS3, GOP Size:1.5. wfb-ng for the radio link Linux laptop.     I,follow your channel and I see the grey overlaps dissapeared in the recent videos. Did you change some settings or newer fw handles different way and this is why no distorted frames? Thx!

      If you mean lost frames and sudden distorted image, these are mainly because I fly low or behind some obstacle. In this video I do not see the ships from my location, they are "below the ground level". And when I get too low, I lose signal.

      The type of fonts depends on the cam resolution. They are embedded in the video stream. If the cam encodes and transmits a 1080p video, icons may look blurry when scaled down.

    The AR wing stalls pretty easy on those steep turns but I’ve found it recovered pretty easy since the wing is very stable when flying straight and level even without tuning. I would recommend double checking your CG, which I’m sure you did. Then if you’re going to auto tune, do it in horizon mode. I know they say not to, but it might save you from destroying your wing. I was very impressed with the wing and did not bother with auto turn after seeing how stable it was out of the box.

    How hard would it be to read MAVLink stream and render the HUD based on that instead of pretending to be an old analog OSD chip?

      1. There is some information that is not exported via mavlink (sensor temp, wind direction, Rx SNR levels, PID values), that is available via MSP Display Port. 2. Rendering is not that hard. More challenging is to create a good user-friendly configurator for that interface.

      @@tipoman9317 fair point with configuration UI, PID values are available through param protocol, all of them instead of select ones like with MSP, Wind etc. are available, the only excption is custom temperature AFAIK. See SR parameters in Ardupilot

    It was an accelerated stall. The plane stalls at a higher speed when pulling g and at high angles of bank. You can't do full deflection control inputs at 50kph and not stall.

      GPS spoofing transmitters. The coordinates that were injected into my receiver were 45.040559 33.976137. You can check yourself where this is located 😀

    Just to state the obvious. Inav 8 has not been released yet. So this is a nightly or a custom build. It would be helpful to include the Github hash of the build you were flying. There are a constant stream of changes being incorporated into the software and they may or may not have been well tested yet. For those that are looking for a reliable aircraft, stick with the released version, 7.1.2. A release candidate of V8 is still a few months away.

    Why did you switch to imx335? It seems that on the 415 camera the detail of the picture is higher, as far as I think? If I plan to fly on an airplane where the delay is not very important, will the 415 camera be cooler?

    I also had this situation on 6.1 or 6.1.1. While autotune the plane stopped responding to the stick inputs, I had to switch to angle or manual to get the control back.

      yes, I was flying linear polarization antenna on the plane to test a longer range setup. Only the channel with the vertical polarization patch antenna had strong signal, as can be seen from the stats in the upper-left.

    I have red about those tiny wires of the jumper gimbals coming loose and causing massive deflections. That´s why I replaced the cabling on my jumper t-pro with better wires. But as I understand you verified this could not have been the case?

      Good point, in the past I also replaced the connector of the throttle gimbal since it got stuck to the middle occasionally. It turned out that OpenTX saves in the log file the Tx gimbal values, before applying trim. So seems the issue is in the Tx. I'll open in and will try to reproduce the problem by twisting the wires, before replacing them...

      It seems the problem is not in the plane - it simply did what it was told by the control link. It might be the Transmitter (faulty connection in the gimbal), ELRS protocol glitch, or even INAV bug. Will investigate it further, but I'm unable to reproduce it still.

      Better join the telegram channel for details. In general, there is a tool on the server camera that listens for the Rx channels reported by the Flight Controller. So you can define an action on the cam when you press a switch on your RemoteControl. Like turn on/off IR filter, change camera, change video params, etc.
