    the mounting instructions mention using a face plate. I notice you guys just filled around bottom edge with 4200. Is it ok to leave the faceplate off?

      The installation method can vary and either method is suitable. The plate is typically used when the pocket is deeper than the transducer and the installer desires a “wet” install where water is allowed to flow around the transducer walls. This would result in simpler removal if required, where an install like the video depicts makes removal more difficult.

      This is a combo transducer that contains a 2kW CHIRP and the DFF3D Multi Beam Sonar transducers.
