- Follow along as we install a new bottom sounder on my 28' Whitewater center console. Although it was not easy, I was extremely happy with the end result. #Furuno #marineelectronics #sounder #depthfinder #airmar #transducer
Nice upgrade Capt.
👍👍😂
Aloha Captain, Thanks for the video, big help in showing the transducer connection to the unit as I am going to be buying this same unit and was wondering about how to do the connection. How did you choose the B265LH? I see they have a B275LHW but at a bigger price point and not sure what the difference in performance it gives. Mahalo. Brian
Aloha Brian. Honestly, I don’t remember but it seemed like the best choice at the time. The wiring is a bit complicated but luckily one of my friends is a wiz.
Wish I had more information.

Hello Captain, good afternoon, I would like to congratulate your video, I am from Brazil, Rio de Janeiro and I would like to know if you could help me with some answers. I have an FCV 295, which is very similar to your daughter. I would like to know if when navigating at depths greater than 80 meters at low frequency, LF, the screen is all dirty, for my screen to stay clean I have to walk clean with gain 3 max. Can you answer me if yours is like that too? Thank you very much and a big hug, Shelton Novais.
Hello Shelton. I don’t think I have that problem but whenever I am that deep, I usually run the unit on low frequency. Hope this helps.
Beso of luck, Capt.O
Hi Captain, can you let me know who did the installation of your transducer, and whether or not you are happy with his work? I have a pocket version of your transducer (pm265lh), and I have to replace it because one of the corners of the face is separating from the brass housing and sticking down about 1/4"
Hey there, I used a guy in South Dade named Jose (786) 357-3115 . Not the best personality but he was fast and I am very happy with his work. If you like, send me a text 786-266-0171 and I’ll send some pictures of the install.
Good Luck, Capt. O
