It has been a very long wait, almost 6 months to the day, but my Furuno TZT16F finally arrived.
I had anticipated that the installation would go smoothly since I had meticulously prepared everything while I was waiting. Alas, the best laid plans of mice and men.
The installation did not go smoothly. It was my fault but that is mitigated somewhat by the wording on the drawing. I think the wording could have been clearer which would have helped immensely. Alternatively, if I could read Japanese, it would also have been fine. Very frustrating. Everything is explained in the video.

Congratulations, worth the wait
Testing it now and is was worth it.
All you need is radar then the boat can find the birds and follow while you fish
Age of the transformer has arrived
It's on the list but I need to save up a bit first. I would like bird mode but I mainly want I for navigating at night. I have found to many buoys and beacons with their lights not working over the years.

Dont you have them marked on your maps?
Main concern was the boats with no or little lights out at night
Thanks again grate content and you keep it real and to the point
If you ever see a blue Stabicraft aorund moreton give us a wave
Stay safe
They are on the maps but in the days before GPS things could get real interesting on a dark night. Gps makes it a bit better but I would still like to have them marked. And, as you said, the boats without lights.
Thank you, and it you ever see CVenture around (a Baysport), come say hello.
It's OK to swear in the shed
I certainly did.
I certainly did
