Thus he only speaks of him when prompted and does so briefly. I don't believe Diluc is as bitter and unfeeling as a lot of people tend to portray him. What happened to him would break most. His only parent died in an accident, yet it was discovered that he used an illegal weapon, which brought Diluc to question how such a thing would come into his noble father's possession. Then the knights betrayed him, essentially shattering his world-view, making him unable to truly trust and believe anyone. Then the only person he had left revealed his true identity as a spy and descendant of the enemy. This hammered in the feeling that Diluc was truly alone, not only on his path to justice, but in life. Thus he set out, leaving Mondstadt to join the masons that operate underground, only returning when he had a proper plan and no longer felt like the helpless lonely little boy he used to be.
