1984 never seemed further away; the pace of the coverage, the car preparation on the street, the mix of car types, is an age away from modern rallying. Lovely film, thank you.
It bears mentioning that this was Herr Röhl's very first rally driving an AWD car (after about 15 years of only using his left foot for the clutch). There are skilled drivers, and then there are those with an almost supernatural talent.
Tout une époque, qui appartient au passé, à un passé glorieux car on était loin du Star system, on voyait les mécanos changer des boîtes de vitesses au bord de la route, sur un trottoir, aujourd'hui, ce serait impossible.... mais toujours aussi la même d'être à l'arrivée 🎉

People are very delusional when they say “ when everything was ok” or “when things were simpler” a lot of things were happening in the world, at that time there was no social media to cover events that are now easily accessible, no things were not different or beautiful back then, only thing was different was the time they lived in.
Exactly the time when i was 13 and loved to watch rallyes.

El metratge em sembla lleugerament diferent al que vaig veure al seu dia (1984), quan tenia sis anys…
Que vista tienes, posiblemente el que tu miraste era un poco más largo, pero peor montado que este. Era nuestro segundo año de mundial, y seguíamos aprendiendo. 38 años más tarde aquellas imágenes solo nos dicen que no íbamos mal encaminados.
@@chemagonzalezrodriguez8791 Jejejejejeje, el caso es que el metraje original lo vi hasta cansarme, y hay cosas de las asistencias o de la intro que no recuerdo y alguna música de fondo del primer parque cerrado que tampoco recuerdo, pero puede que sea yo. Y para ser el segundo año, la calidad era muy buena, y estabais en sitios donde pasaban cosas. Por cierto, ¿quién es el segundo entrevistador de Servià? Salud!
