#8 Kobe was one of the most explosive and dynamic athletes along with the skill set to match anyone in the game and #24 Kob was the more cerebral/surgical basketball player leading his own team to championships . An absolute pleasure to watch both 🥲🥲🥲
#24 was my favorite jersey in the NBA, where he won 5 NBA Championships and 2 NBA Finals MVP. In the NBA All Star Game, he collected 4 All Star MVPS and won the Slam Dunk Championship in 1997. I believed him as a hall of famer, a model father with 3 beautiful daughters, a teacher and a solidified Avenger in the last 23 years of his NBA Career. May he rest in power o’lord. 🇵🇭
Late #8 and early #24 was the best kobe. Had all the shots but would poster the whole team when they slipped up. Had a sick reverse dunk every other game
No. 8 young and talented, explosive and aggressive, energetic, a winner. No.24 experienced veteran, a leader, wise, mature, cerebral, still athletic and very strong, also a winner. Both had smarts and athleticism. One just slightly edged out the other. My favorite player of all time.
2002-03 and 2005-06 was #8 Kobe. My favorite seasons. He had everything #24 had, but WITH a quicker first step and obviously more bounce. #24 had to be more cerebral because of the myriad of injuries he had already built up to that point, then obviously he suffered more as the years went on. But in that, he was a walking definition of motivation and inspiration.
@@arizonaFIREent Wrong. The LAKERS won only 1 playoff series those two seasons. One of those teams featured the guy who the internet loves to say carried Kobe. Kobe finally "relieves the load" off Shaq's back and averages 30 PPG but somehow they didn't win anything 🤔 The other team is literally one of the worst teams ever assembled.
2013 Kobe was underrated tho. For some reason, he regained that athleticism of #8 + the full skillset of #24. Just sad that he tore his achilles 2 games before the season ends.
I can't get enough of watching Kobe stuff. I've been consuming so much content since he passed on. Still so unbelievable to this day that he is no longer with us.
@@billjames1556 GIgi was a reason many people actually were actually excited for the future of the WNBA. You can not discredit that. I would've watched any team she played for based on who her father was. With Kobe's support for women's basketball, Gigi could've made an impact.
Just miss hearing him talk about basketball and show love and mentor the young guys man. Number 8 and Number 24 both gave me some of my favorite basketball memories.
The difference between Kobe as 8 and 24 is that 8 had issues from time to time understanding the consequences of his actions on the court despite how talented and youthful he was. No. 8 you could mentally take him out of the game and make him fight you like he fought Reggie Miller in 2000 and got suspended , he fought that dude from the Knicks in the 2000s, and he fought Shaq also he played outside his shoes sometimes. No. 24 Kobe was never compromised nothing. When Ron Artest tried to get in his head in 2009 Kobe knew exactly what he was trying to do to him and Kobe wasn’t going to let it happen The Houston Rockets we’re on the verge of forcing the Lakers to 7 games and Kobe understood that he had to be there every step of the way so instead of him fighting players like NO. 8 would he simply declined and backed all the way up. Also when Matt brings up when Kobe didn’t flinch. It’s because Kobe kept his eye on the game he was way too zoned in to let Matt trick him out of a W over the Magic. Kobe also had waaaay better footwork than No. 8 Also No. 24 was more open to making the proper adjustments quicker than No. 8 they were both good but you can’t stop time and over time Kobe learned so much.
You could never take Kobe mentally out of the game your just wrong there the man played an entire season while facing life in prison and never flinched yall praise the flu game but what he did in 04 was ridiculous there is no difference other than number 8 used his body and 24 used his brain but even then number 8 was no slouch i.q. wise
@@MrGenexxx I couldn't not that one you could never get into that mans head theres a couple reasons Kobe went at reggie and not ron 1 it was a regular season game vs a playoff game and 2 ron is fk'n crazy also the fight with reggie was after the game was over
#8 Kobe played during the hand check era & #24 played after the hand check era. Proving he could play in both era of basketball at a Hall of Fame level
Number #8’s swagger was unmatched and could put you on a poster. while, #24 was more methodical and was more of a thought out killer. Both are legendary IMO, the G.O.A.T🐐💜💛🐍
KOBE was a BASKETBALL ENCYCLOPEDIA 8 in basketball is 8 seconds to get pass half court that' why he was so EXPLOSIVE 24 in basketball is 24 seconds to get off a shot that's how BRILLIANT HE was STUDY IT
Dear Kobe, sometimes i'm a Laker fan, you are the best player of two centuries. 10 years as #8 and 10 years as #24, like Ukraine's independence.... We love you Mamba, gone to heaven... Slava Kobe. ❤❤
His game 4 performance in the 2000 finals doesn't get talked about enough and it's because he didn't have this gaudy stat line but what he did in that game was great especially when shaq fouled out he was 20 years old and he was cooking reggie Miller that game coulda easily went the other way and who knows what happens after that also game 7 of the 2000 conference finals when shaq almost choked away a 3-1 lead kobe came in and saved the day in game 7 more points rebounds assists and blocks than shaq in that game he was never carried they don't win without him period
Frobe made everybody believe anything was possible.. Mamba showed us EVERYTHING that was possible 🙌🏾🐍🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 two different hall of fame careers in one jersey 💛💜💛💜
#8 Kobe was sick. Athletic, swag, agility, fearless. #24 Kobe on the other hand was more of a maestro version of him. His footwork, IQ, Competitiveness, Killer mentality, leader, fundamentals and his will to win everytime he's step foot in the court. To me the 24 Kobe was better coz he knows the game more and he knows all the details on his game and how to improve that part oh his game, how to adapt his body coz he got a ton of injuries but still, his demeanor and competitiveness doesn't change and he's much more eager to improve and shows he's the best player in the world. Couldn’t put it any better
Absolutely. #24 Kobe was like watching 98' Jordan. By that point he mastered the game and was so surgical and precise.
If you want to know what a definition of a superstar is. He's it.
checkers vs chess
And number eight Kobe played during the hand check era when defense was a lot more physical
#8-More Explosive, Dominant, Cocky, Young, Machine gun, and Fast.
#24-More Majestic, Thoughtful, Wise, Mature, Sniper, Striker, and Structured.
*Kobe Bryant*
Lol both Kobe’s were cocky
A FREAKING BEAST!
8 tried to be 23, 24 got to be 23 he did it alone
No #8 was the player kids dream to be.
No #24 was the player players wish to be.
I remember watching Kobe and then just going out to the court and trying to do what he did, good times.

The way he adapted his game over time to deal with injuries etc was incredible.

24 Kobe = Fundamentals,Mentality, Workaholic

The number that dunked on Latrell Spreewell is the better of the two numbers.

As much as #8 being the more athletic, explosive and dominant. I still think #24 is the better kobe for me. He's graceful, finesse, magical to watch.
I see Kobe's post, I Like.
I don’t think people also thought about 2x4 =8 double the man who he was, the mamba
Math is hard. 16 is twice the 8, 2×4 would mean he was half the 8. Triple the 8 is 24.
I love the #8 Kobe but man, the 24 was more mature and a leader
