"She was only MOSTLY dead!" - Miracle Max.
"Backdoor pilot" sounds like a different type of movie 😂🤣
Hot! Lol
@@ZayaMillis giggity
I could see Asaj show up as a guide to Merrin in the next Jedi survivor game
How would she be a guide to merrin when she was a force user and not a witch?
I want to see Boba in his mando armour. They have the design and model, they just need to update and render it.
The way the novel ended and her "death" in it always left it open for her to come back
*Q/A:* Darth Plagueis once said "We embrace the spectrum of emotions, from the heights of transcendent joy, to depths of hatred and despair." When have the Sith ever experienced the heights of transcendent joy?
That phrasing "backdoor pilot" in relation to Ventress was on a Reddit post that was voted on 633 times and commented on about 200 times.
The Jedi are my favorite part of Star Wars, so as long as it makes sense, I'm always ok with more popping up in the Empire era. A good explanation of their absence is all I need. 🤷♂️
Great show as always. The Planet Georgia talk was especially funny 😂
Tales of the Jedi for Assaji is a brilliant explanation
Damn. I wasn't expecting Boba Fett to be in The Bad Batch before now, but after those points you're making I gotta keep telling myself to speculate responsibly. 😂
I'd love to see a buddy cop style adventure movie with Ventress and Kenobi one last time. Both just being sassy to each other the whole time.
"Backdoor pilot" isn't exactly an obscure phrase. I'm sure multiple people, including myself, thought about that when watching the episode.
Especially since The Bad Batch itself had a backdoor pilot in the final season of TCW.
The Lost System of Atlanta was more than just a spaceport! You have Turner Field, the Coca Cola Bottling Plant, the uh... spaceport.
Underrated Futurama reference
It's a Delta hub!
great job editing as always mol!
i can only hope we get a show about the path. so much there to work with, gives us something for Vader to be focusing on post kenobi too
Love the video, just worth mentioning that Dave doesn’t have as much input on Bad Batch as he did Clone Wars/Rebels and it’s much more up to Jennifer Corbett, she deserves much more love and attention.
I would LOVE to see a story where Asajj joins Ahsoka in fighting against the Night Mothers from Peridia. Unlikely, but I can dream!
Q&A: When do you think we will get more content on Luke’s Jedi Academy
Q&A: Since the Ninth Episode in the Final Season did have Ventress explained Omega has a high M Count and she's needed to be trained to be ready before she's fully prepared to defend herself. If she had been trained more somewhere in the future episodes before the near finale to use a lightsaber and use the force. How do you think she would encounter Darth Vader, Palpatine (since he could have picked up his Saber after his fight with Yoda), or an Inquisitor without Ventress by her side in Mount Tantiss Rescue, do you think she would lost her match to any of them?
She never confirmed Omega has a high M-Count. She literally says IF she had that potential she would have to leave them.
*If* there is a continuing series after the Bad Batch, I wonder if it could be about bounty hunters and how they thrived during the time of the Empire. The fact that Fennec Shand knew or was in contact with Asajj Ventress could suggest that our favourite Dathomirian has been living as a bounty hunter in between Dark Disciple and her appearance in the Bad Batch. Maybe the unfinished bounty hunter stories from TCW could be rewritten to take place within the Imperial era. And through the bounty hunter series we could learn more about the Hidden Path, which could be its own little animated series.
Personally I would like a series, animated, set during the High Republic era. I know we have a load of books but I’m sure it’s a big enough timeframe that we could have all new characters that can connect to the bigger events of what’s going on in the High Republic books and comics. It’s an era I am least familiar with so would be happy to see it from an animation perspective.
I like how in Ashoka they show us, the Witches can resurect the dead and use them like Savage. Yet the internet blows a Fuse because," hOw CaNn sHe bE aLiVe? "
The complaints are really more about them bringing back to many people that they're making death mean nothing in Star Wars.
I agree with mightheal, but there are also plenty of fans out there that watched the cartoons without reading the books and just heard she was dead without realizing she had a connection to the Night Sisters. Sometimes I have to remind myself that there really are tiers of fans, and while someone may be more than a casual viewer, they're not necessarily deep in the details.
“The internet” didn’t go nuts. A couple of people moaned because bringing dead characters back is boring.
@@MiningForPies i wouldn’t say boring, but it does come of as soap opera level lazy writing (Soap dish 1991 sally field, kevin Kline, whoopi Goldberg)
@@MrSheckstr I blame the writers of the bible. They killed of their popular character and brought back. To be fair they plagiarised that bit, but they were the first to go mainstream.
Yeah if they only wanted to do a 3 episode arc on Assaj then they could have just shown us her as a Jedi, and then basically two episodes adapted from Dark Disciple.
Can’t wait to hear how this is explained
21:28 Super off topic, but I started getting allergy shots a few years ago and it's been a game changer!
Asajj would be one of the most interesting characters to give their own show to.
After this episode, i 100% am hoping for a follow up show for Omega.
Many thanks to Mollie & Alex! ✨
Regarding Ventress: while Tales of the Jedi episodes are certainly possible (maybe even likely), I think those could happen without bringing her back to from the dead. So, in bringing her back from the dead, I think it's likely they have more planned than just a few Tales of the Jedi episodes.
Regarding Boba: I definitely think there is a place for him in this series given his relationship to Omega. By looking at the episode titles, my best guess as to when he could show up (IF he shows up) would actually be the next episode. The next episode is called "Identity Crisis" - and Omega and Boba have partially-shared identities, so if he shows up, I'm guessing it's this upcoming week!
I think Nightsisters can go into a hibernation state for regeneration, and the ritual is complete when they go to the waters of Dathomir. I think that’s what Thrawn and the Great Mothers are going to do with all the hibernation chambers.
I think it would have been perfect if Boba and Cad Bane's duel was over Omega. Both of them originally trying to collect on the bounty but in the end, after Boba figures out who she is, he defends Omega.
You both are Awesome! Another Great Vid!
I hadn't thought of the pollen on Planet Georgia. That would be a good thing to include. My main thought it would have to have some awful traffic to represent the Atlanta area. Maybe it could also be the host of the big Cosplay party/convention in Star Wars in honor of Dragon Con :)
I had this idea of the emperors clone son that was revealed in TROS having an interesting story even though I did not enjoy that movie at all. He’s the father of Rey and he seemingly turned against the Empire but we don’t know much else about him or his partner. Wouldn’t he be around Omega’s age? I think Andor was the first time we saw high society during the Empire era and I found that part of the story very compelling, and I feel like this character could exist in that same environment. Omega and Ventriss sneaking force sensitives to the Path while this guy is chummy with Empire officials but is starting to have doubts about his future could be a very interesting story. Especially because his fate would ultimately be to serve as a vessel for Palps, which could be why he ultimately ran away to Jakku with his partner.
Q&A: Why is Cad Bane not flying his ship Xanadu Blood? Does he not have it yet, or has he lost it?
Alex and Mollie got to see a pianist!?
“Mwah! Good night, everybody!”
So here is my philosophy 101 course. If a tree falls in a forest and no one is there does it make a sound? Now if the Jedi were "All" killed and you wernt there to see it did it happen? Either way its about Perspective of known knowledge, the tree fell so it made a sound, but the entire forest didnt fall with it. Same the Jedi Order "died" but that doesnt mean all the Jedi died with it.
from a certain point of view ;-)
Checks the star wars databank: aura sing: "she's a mean lady"
7:47 it would be good if the finale of the Bad Batch was Omega and the remaining Bad Batch settle on the planet at the end of The Path, or maybe help set up The Hidden Path…
One of the Tales of the Jedi vignettes about VENTRESS could be a direct 3D animation remake of her semi-origin in the 2003 Clone Wars show
Quinlin/ventress show about the hidden path would be awesome!
8:53 I think a show about The Hidden Path could be a compelling show like a Star Wars version of a serial drama, that mostly resets itself at the end of each show.
How about a "Tales of the Bounty Hunters" counterpart to "Tales of the Jedi"? I'd totally watch that.
Question for next week: Do you think we could see Gungi in future stories? I’m really interested to see what becomes of him, even though it seems like his story was wrapped up pretty well in The Bad Batch season 2. Thanks for all you guys do!
I think it would make sense, if they do another Tales of the Jedi, for one of the focuses to be Ventress. Maybe it could adapt Dark Desciple, similar to how the end of the Clone Wars and the first season of Tales of the Jedi adapted teb Ahsoka novel. The addition of visual elements into the story could help tell us how exactly she survived. Maybe theyll bring everyone's favorite Nightsister into the story since shes got a part in Tales of the Empire lmao

Tbh it was a great episode. Keep it coming
Any plans to do content around Star Wars Unlimited? Idk if the card game is your thing but the community around the game is really popping off and I'm sure your insight and opinions about the lore and easter eggs in some of the card designs would be a fantastic addition to the discussion.
It’s kinda cool the episode ventless comes back is near the holiday of Easter. Seeing how they are both about rebirth, growth, and the dead being vaguely explained back to life. But it’s definitely coincidence
My money’s on a Bounty Hunters-focused show with Asajj, Quinlan, Bane & Boba combining the birth of The Path with the unfinished Boba CW arc.
Bane hunting force sensitives for the money, Asajj doing it with Quinlan but struggling not to fall into old habits.
13:22 And that is why they had to Kill tech off, he would have read the entire file
My son, daughter in law, and granddaughter went to see Beetlejuice this past Sunday. They loved it!
Got a favorite Glup Shitto specifically from Bad Batch?
All praise to the one and only Quick-Draw Quasar!
Well, she did fake her death in Legends
Question for Next Week:
Remember how Black Krrsantan suddenly vanished from Aphra (2020) with no real explanation. He was there one issue and gone the next - and then he showed up in The Book of Boba Fett a Year and a Half later?
The same thing happened to Ochi of Bestoon in Vader (2020): He was ready to team up with Vader at the End of #36 - and then completely disappeared from future Issues, not even a mention etc. etc.
Do you think this means we can expect him to show up in future Live-action content: Ahsoka S2 or Mando Maybe?
Question for next week: What do you think the chances are that we see more backstory of Caij Vanda, the Nautolan bounty hunter from Jedi Survivor? I’m sure she’s had run ins with people like Cad Bane and Fennec Shand before.
The Asajj episode was definitely a backdoor pilot but it doesn't mean that it will definitely lead to a new show the story could be told through a novel or the comics. They're just using the term as a easy way to describe setting up a spinoff storyline. Based on the animation team focused on using intimate character driven storytelling as there primary method of telling stories I can easily see Asajj and the Path being the possible next animated series but I would like them to get out of that habit and explore other story telling styles.
So will Grogu be the M-Count target for the Empire after Omega? Its obvious they don't get Omega if they're after Grogu
At this point in the show you would think the Empire would be hunting Boba for his DNA now as well
The need to give the people what they really want - Dengar
I feel like with Cal's Jedi Three game coming soon and the implications that left, the ultimate conclusion of what happens to the hidden path can finally put the Reign of the Empire story to rest if they make an Asajj Ventress/THP animation sequel, since most of the story telling after that seems to move on from that era, with Mando and Ahsoka, Rey and Acolyte
The Waters of LIFE.
0:30 I hope you had more class there than your politicians
For next weeks video, I'd love to see you answer this question.
When Darth Vader orders the bounty on Han Solo and the Millenium Falcon, why did Cad Bane not participate in the hunt? A bounty that high would've got his attention somehow once word got to the guild.
I’ll be honest the first time I heard “back door pilot” in reference to this episode was the Clone Zone you did with Skytalkers 😅 I think Millie said it? I could be wrong but I remember hearing it there first. I didn’t read anywhere until after.
I want to see Asajj in the 10 ABY Thrawn/Mando era. How in the hells is Asajj going to react to the Great Mothers showing up over Dathomir with the Empire.
DUDE... the pollen in GA right now is no joke!!!
Asaj and Omega are both blond! Just a stray thought ... when Alex quoted "unique connection .... to Omega' 🤔😊
This isn't even the first time she was resurrected. It happened in legends as well.
I think it’s possible we get a Ventress and Omega spin off, dealing with her life after the Batch, and how Ventress protects her. I’d also love to see Ahsoka and Ventress meet again.
I would like to see that as well
I think the reason people (myself included) are not super happy with more and more Jedi surviving Order 66 is because, as awful as it sounds, it takes away from the enormity of the Jedi Orders destruction. Growing up, learning that there were only really a handful of Jedi, maybe 10 if we included the Legendary novels, makes it feel so much more powerful that the Jedi were on the verge of extinction. Now we have what, over 100 Jedi or more who’ve survived Order 66. We are supposed to feel sad and devastated that “so-so Jedi” was killed and that they won’t magically come back to life.
I get being excited and wanting to expand into different and new eras but we're about to get that starting with The Acolyte so patience is all that's needed. New stuff will come and I hope they'll keep a balance between new and familiar once we get rolling on that because many still love and enjoy the eras we already know and they might not vibe with the High Republic or the Dawn of the Jedi era so it would be bad if those fans were to get left with nothing new to look forward to.
People put too much stock into the eras anyway, so long as the stories we get continue to get good stories that are worthwhile watching, the setting or era is secondary at *best*. It's also a little hypocritical to say you want to get out of the Imperial era (which is fair because it is very populated) but then say you're excited for andor S2 which is in that exact era. That feels like picking and choosing when it's fine because it's a certain type of content or a certain creator, which is unfortunately an unhealthy attitude the fandom has adopted since the show came out.
I really do not get the rush to think the Jedi are up to no good. They very well could have made that deal with Asajj with every intention to pardon her but then she died and the paperwork was never completed because of it. Or maybe it wasn't in Tech's database because the pardon wasn't on a public record and was classified, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. There are ways to explain why the pardon wasn't addressed without making the Jedi out to be liars
My high school prom was at the Fox
Question for Q&A, Do you think the clone assassin could potentially be tech?
I'd love to see a asajj show. About her trying to redeem herself for all the wrong she has done
Q&A: Do you think they will announce a Phantom Menace From a Certain Point of View book to celebrate its 25th anniversary or will we have to wait 15 years for that?
I think they will save Boba Fett for the final episode. I predict that he will either save Omega or cause a diversion to allow her to escape the inevitable return to Mount Tantiss.
Jedi Council: Let's kill Dooku and end the War
Ventress and Voss: *assassination attempts fails
Anakin (ROTS): *Kills Dooku
JC: You are on this Council but not granted rank of Master
Anakin: Hold on this whole operation was your idea
😂😂😂
Another reason I can see why Anakin turned to the Dark Side and why the Jedi were doomed
Q&A: What Tales of the Blank series would you like to see in the future? I'm hoping for Tales of the Syndicates and Tales of the First Order personally.
“Omega, Clone Jedi”😉
There will probably be some magic reason for bringing back Ventress.
“No one’s ever really gone.” -Luke Skywalker
Do you think we'll ever get a Star Wars "What If..."/Star Wars Infinities series and if so, what alternate paths would you want the stories to tell?
I have a feeling Ventress and Voss are the leaders of the Path. Theyve been building this since Obi-Wan. I bet Ventress rescuing force sensitive's is why she sought out Omega. Everyone's complaining about how Dark Disciple is meaningless with the new Bad Batch episode, but I bet itll just build on their relationship we leaned about amd everyone is just overreacting to infomoration they dont have yet
Q&A: I am going to a Star Wars trivia night in a few weeks. Do you have any suggestions for preparing?
Answer: WATER OF LIFE
Somehow Ventress returned
I've always loved Asajj, even when she was still deeply committed to her dark masters. When they began showing she had depth, & maybe even a real character arc, I became even more committed to her story. Then they killed her. This never made sense to me; why spend so much time on a character arc, then never reap the rewards from their final chapter? It was one of Lucas film's 1st big mistakes that made me less interested in Star Wars in general. Everyone knows what happened next. Over the years I understandably became less & less invested, to the point I haven't watched a single episode of the last Bad Batch season. I've cancelled my Disney+ account, since there really isn't much new content added to be worth spending $20 for. That said, I'll be back in a flash for Ventress. I don't care how she comes back, she's a truly compelling character & I'm not alone in my love of her. This is exactly who Disney should center a new series around & it sounds like they're finally doing their research homework enough to understand the community love for Asajj Ventress is palpable.
Q&A: Did the galaxy ever learn that Kylo Ren was Leia's son, and if not, what do you think the reaction would be like?
Q&A: What's your opinion on more story's set in the Clone Wars? Do you think it has story potential?
she died just like we thought Maul died there is a connection
"Oh, I thought you were dead."
Ventress: "My death was, greatly ret conned."
“somehow” - Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker
Q&A: Do you think Merrin helped Ventress or knows about her. Also when will Tales of the Jedi season two will come out?
Merrin was a child during the time of the BB 💜
Vendress will be back in the series, likely in the finally. No, they won't go into detail into her past. Tales of the Jedi would be a good place to go into her past. I could see her show up in a live action Thrawn story.
now that she's back and its clear that Quinlan survived O66, I just want an awkward romantic reunion between those two.
Do you guys think they'll kill Asajj for a second time or will they let her live?
Can only Kyber crystals be bled, or can other lightsbaber energy sources also be bled (ex. krayt dragon pearl)? I don’t think there’s “canon” lore on this so I just wondered your opinion on it.
Q&A: Do you still feel that Anakin is the chosen one after Palpatine's return in the sequels? If so, how do u reconcile the sith not being destroyed by the end of ROTJ??
He is the Chosen One, canon has confirmed that multiple times. He did destroy the Sith and brought balance to the Force, the sequels are all about keeping that balance.
Palpatine never fully returned, he was basically a ghost trying to get his power back. He only truly returned for like a minute when he absorbed the life force of Ben and Rey, but he was destroyed shortly after. So yea, he technically never fully came back so the Sith never fully came back.
@@gbozzi05_ that's interesting, i know evil will eventually always return because "darkness rises and light to meet it," and vice versa. But specifically for the Sith, you said that canon confirmed multiple times Anakin's the chosen one, can you please give a source that talks about it? Or atleast something that talks about (or infers) that balance was once achieved, and now it has to be maintained. I'm writing a script for something & haven't found anything in the books or comics that talks about it. But although I've read a lot, definitely not everything yet
@@kevinvassago the thing about balance having to be maintained is just what I got from the sequels being all about maintaining what was achieved by the OT heroes.
As for Anakin being the Chosen One, The Father (one of the Mortis Gods) in the Clone Wars straight up confirmed to his face he is in fact the Chosen One. That was the whole point of that arc.
With the connection to Fennec, Asajj could come back in Book of Boba Fett S2? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Did anyone notice her position based on the light saber color??
