I’m really enjoying the new Q&A format! To potentially shine some light on what’s currently going on in the gaming industry with mass layoffs, studio closures and a general shift in production procedures; it is largely rooted in forecasts set during Covid. During lockdowns gaming revenues and active players seen a huge surge and companies began hiring in mass and green lighting new projects as well as opening new studios in both support and lead rolls. Naturally after the lockdown restrictions went away gaming revenues returned down to reality (as a lot of people who didn’t traditionally play games began during lockdown then stopped when things went back to normal), it is this factor along with the trend of budgets of games being largely inflated and unsustainable (much like the film industry) that has led to the reshuffling of the current economic situation of the industry. It’s unfortunate that this is happening and that the developers of the games are the ones who are being punished for it and not the decision makers themselves but a lot of what’s happening is necessary due to those poor decisions sadly.
I feel like George Lucas would be proud knowing that people in the Star Wars community like Alex and Mollie call out the corruption in American business and politics and still find ways to deliver a hopeful message. It’s what this is all about.
I’m not gonna lie, but this new take on the Q&A videos are great by having three different camera angles. It almost like something you’d see on live TV.

I’ve seen Ahmed use the hashtags for both Kelleran and Jar Jar on things that aren’t even related to either of them, so this could just be another one of those cases. He’s always loved paying tributes to the characters he’s played, in one way or another.

Regarding Bad Batch S3, do y'all think that when the gang breaks back into Mount Tantiss they'll find out that Tech is alive and has been secretly being held there and coercedly, or maybe even willingly, helping Hemlock with experiments?
I think it's a good possibility, and I also think we'll get a conversation with Nala Se about Omega's origins and what exactly it is that makes her special to the Kaminoans and the Empire (personally, I think she's Force sensitive, and maybe Hunter too but not to the same degree. Like maybe Hunter and Omega were the first of the Batch to be born, and Omega was special because she was Force sensitive which was an aberration, so they were like "what if we could do this to other clones too" and Hunter was their first success with genetic modification and that's why his abilities are "enhanced senses" and "tracking", and after that they experimented with other changes but Omega's blood eas the key to making it work)

I love that we’re giving credit to the physical actors playing the armor daddy, but I have to object that a voice actor isn’t “in” a show just because we never see their face. There’s a video from a few years ago of a conversation between Frank Oz and Mark Hamill at the 92nd Street Y that addresses some of these issues and it really opened my eyes to that divide.

Well his point I think was the Scottish Highlands probably don’t seem as exotic to someone in England like how the California desert isn’t exotic to him, someone who lives in Georgia.

Emerie Karr's situation kind of reminds me a bit of Rachel Duncan from Orphan Black -- a clone raised outside of "normal" conditions and placed in charge of the others. Giving her a last name helps sell an illusion of control. She's not like the other clones, she's Different(tm). (Also, if you haven't watched Orphan Black I highly recommend it).
Q&A: Another Disney preschool series, The Lion Guard, had an interesting path where it grew a bit with its audience, going from a strictly episodic preschool show with simple conflicts & messages and very low stakes, to a 5-8 year old focused show with some higher stakes, eviller villains and a bit of an arc to it - while still remaining staunchly for younger kids. Do you think Young Jedi Adventures might do something similar?

Q&A: How do you think certain Star Wars characters would react to learning they were fictional characters?
(Question based on a Reddit post I saw this week).
As someone from England I would kind of agree with that. the scenes in Aldani look very like the scenes I see living in the Lake District.. and the scenes on typhon and mapuza don’t look like anywhere ive ever been
The scenes for Tython in The Mandalorian were filmed about 20 miles away from me and I thought, "Hey, that looks like the mountain in Simi Valley!" I think it looked fine for the series, but southern California hills and brush look very generic, which is why Star Trek and other sci-fi productions love to just drive an hour from Hollywood and be on some "barren alien planet."
Mapuzo looked even lazier. The rock-quarry seemed to have no "Star Wars"-esque tech as any part of the production design and literally looked like a cheap fan-film as a result, with that episode just being one of many problems that plagued Obi-Wan Kenobi from a production/quality standpoint.
Q&A: What do you think Hemlock was up to during the Clone Wars? He has clearly been around a long time if the Emperor respects his work enough to let him try to clone him, but he seems like a much more sinister fella than the Republic usually hired. What do you think he was up to back then?
Maybe working with the Techno Union on cyborg projects like what they did to Echo?

29:10 as someone from the UK you got it bang on! 😂 I had no problem with something like Tython because it looked different to what I normally see. But Aldahni was very familiar and a bit bland. But Aldahni worked a bit better because it fit the overall aesthetic of Andor

2:24 Bloodbending is an offshoot of waterbending. If you were to earthbend a person, you'd be metalbending the calcium in their bones - think of it like a D&D spell called "Inflict Scoliosis."
As someone who is a pretty hard-core gamer, the problem is the license fees. StarWars can cost a billion or more for the license. EA just can't eat that anymore. EA has said they are dialing back the license games.
The problem is not licensing fees. That is just the PR excuse to help mitigate any stock drop they are still making lots of licensed content especially with Disney. EA's CEO is just bad on the creative side he's wasted so much money on canceled games that I'm surprised there hasn't been a call for him to step down by now.

I can’t help but think back to Jar Jar being in love with the ruler of the planet that had that force sphere. I could be ok with a follow-up on that relationship. Maybe Ahsoka visits that planet at some point.

Speaking of Jar Jar and video games, he's coming to Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes as a Legendary unit. They just introduced the Gungan faction and released the first character Boss Nass.

CEO massive salary cuts (sometimes down to $1/year) are actually pretty common in the US in a recession or product/service failure. They just bet on things normalizing and getting stock-based payouts down the road.

I think the majority of people just want to see Din's face because it seems like necessary movement for his character. Season 3 really just reversed everything the first 2 seasons were setting up. I'd like to feel like the characters that the Mandoverse is focusing on are actually going to have satisfying arcs but that is just seeming to be more of a wish than anything.
Darth Maul was in Tony Hawk 3 and Jango Fett was in Tony Hawk 4.

100% legendary Jar Jar live Motion capture for new animations for Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes. They've done the same with Anthony Daniels as well as Iden Versio's actor as well. His Kellaren Beq character just became available the last few months too. Also it makes 100% sense it's this since his legendary event is a celebration of 25 years of Phantom Menace.
I'm 100% confident this is what Ahmed is referring to. It's awesome if you play the game.

A new show would already be in the works but since no rumors about one has come out we can't really speculate what it will be only what we hope it would be.

Just as a heads up on regards to the Ahmed/Activision thing. I would not be so quick to write off Call of Duty, unfortunately. That franchise, ever since Modern Warfare II, has started to turn into Fortnite when it comes to their collabs. They have 3 characters, including Paul, from Dune. They have Rick and Michonne from Walking Dead. They have like 5 characters from The Boys. They had characters from Attack on Titan. They have Alucard from Hellsing. They have Nikki Minaj. They have Snoop Dogg. They have Rambo. They have an upcoming Warhammer 40,000 collab. There is more, but the point is that I absolutely would NOT put it past Activision to do a Star Wars collab with CoD for the TPM anniversary and put in Jar Jar as a playable operator. And it would also not put it past them to do a sith lord variant as a meme. It's far less exciting than a brand new game featuring Ahmed, but I am choosing to believe it's actually a CoD x Star Wars collab until proven otherwise just given the history of Star Wars games lately...
Maybe a movie instead of a season was the only to get Pedro in it!
