I tried the Headway app and didn't find it very helpful. It was glitchy and the narrations either boring or just plain terrible mostly. Then I forgot about it for almost a year before realising I was going to be charged their annual subscription again... So I tried to cancel, but wasn't able to log in ... and they don't have a password reset option, so I was unable to access my account in time before the payment came out of my account. Then I complained and asked for a refund and they didn't care at all. They just cancelled my account and told me they didn't care about why I couldn't log in and I was too late. They refused to refund. So clearly they don't actually care about people, they just care about money. Very sad.

If you go on the app, but dont sign up straight away, it will keep giving you discounts for yearly subscription. It offered me 70% off so a yearly subscription for £29 - I thought that was worth it. But felt for those who signed up at the full price! I would have been ANGRY!
One more thing I would change from the app is that the language is set based on the phone´s language. I like to read/hear books in different languages as a way of practicing my vocabulary. The app won´t allow you to set a language. They said I would have to change the language on my phone, and reinstall the app. Which is absolutely absurd.
I bought a lifetime subscription for Headway at Groupon for $60. It's been a good goal to read book summaries daily and it helps get my toddler to sleep.
I really like headway but you’re halfway correct about the pleasant voice of the narrators. While the female voice is good, the male reading voice is absolutely unbearable. I wish I could change the voice because the guy’s voice is just bad. Other than that, I would definitely recommend for couples to listen to the relationship content together or even to listen to a book or two while falling asleep. Thanks for the review! 👍🏽
U wont be able to unsubscribe. Dont do it. I have to deactivate my debt card so it wont charge me. U cant unsubscribe on google play their app site or their app. Absolutely scummy and malicious business practise

Unfortunately, it seems quite common for these smaller more niche subscription services (becomes apparent when you check app reviews).

Great review! I checked it out and it's about $90 year so a bit pricey. I personally use Littler Books and it's $1.25 a month.

It's a really glitchy app, with constant popups for upsells, and some of the narration voices are so awful that I had to pass on the book.

I signed up through my apple id but I didn't realize to share it with my wife I should have created a user name password. I should have known better.
How is that? I signed with my Google account, if we signed in with a username and password it will be posible to use it in 2 cellphones at same time?
