Have you used Lobab? I saw an ad on Google search the other day and it seems that it just launched. Looks pretty new to me but it’s way way way better than all three in your video put together. I’m not really sure how many books they have in their library but it seems pretty massive. The categories are about the same as those three in your video but what I liked the best was how their summaries were written. Very simple and straight to the point. And the best part, is the end of the summary; they have a section called Selected critiques in brief. Oh boy, they give what the authors have fallen short of their treatise. I have always wanted to subscribe for a service that gives me both worlds, the summary and the review of the same book in one app. Their review is even way better than other book review sites. They criticize the book and provide you with options, namely other books addressing the subject of the same book but otherwise from other authors. Their plans are fairly reasonable and they do have options for companies. You should try it out. Oh yes they don’t ask you to sign up if you download their app and it’s freaking awesome. They give you one free read every day. The app is available on both the AppStore and Google play. Here’s the link to their website where you can find the link to their apps in the AppStore and Play: www.lobab.com/en/ I have their iOS app installed in my iPhone so thought I’d share the link for my iOS friend here as well. apps.apple.com/au/app/lobab-book-summaries/id1563450703 Hope you enjoy the best out of it. Let me know what you think.
Shortform is such a great resource!! From being able to highlight pages, summarize pages and read through a book in as little as 1 day and still retain it, I love it! Thanks for sharing.
Shortform cheated on me. I signed for one month. In the middle of the month they tried to charge for the next month, but couldnt do it because i changed my credit card number before (knowing about their bad practices). Then they removed my subscription in the middle of the month. BUT I PAID FOR AN ENTIRE MONTH!!

I get the "gist" trend with non-fiction, but absolutely do not understand the desire to summarize fiction when two-thirds of the material is about engagement, identification with characters, and emotions that cannot be engaged by a simple description of what happens...
I need one for fantasy because so far my book took a weird turn and I do not understand it, I am trying to see if I missed something in an earlier chaoter
Thanks for including us on this list, Aurelius 💚We've been working on improving our library and now it it boasts over 6,500 pieces of content, including a selection of fiction too!
Hi Aurelius. I got the Black Friday deal from Blinkist. Since then there has been a heap of others like Headway and 12 MIns. I only ever use the audio; usually at night when I'm inverting on my slant board :)
I am enjoying listening to books through audible, but it takes me so long to get through a book that I wish I had the highlights or a summary to keep or review. At this point, nobody provides the book and a summary as a package. So I’m having to look for ways to remember the audible books I have listened to. I’ll try one of these services out! Thank you!!!

I’m looking into these summaries, I’ve downloaded audible and currently have a backlog of about 10 books to listen to. I it’s hard for me to keep my attention enough to retain all the information. I’ve had to pause my subscription 3 times now. I want to cancel but I’d lose my 7 credits. Which do you think is better Blinkist other ones? Thanks YT community.
Everyone I don't have a habit of reading books. So can anyone tell me reading books normally vs reading in summary app shuch shortform to get key ideas faster which is better?
Hi Aurelius Tjin, can i use the summary from this page for my own video blogging and use a voice over for it? if yes, can you help me with what i need to do in terms of copyright issues? Thank you.
That isn’t possible. You would be infringing the copyright from the websites listed. Your best best would be to hire a writer to write a book summary for you. Start with upwork.com to find a writer
I actually try shortform and the content is quite excellent but as a student the price is way too much expensive for me 240$/ year isn't a small price.

It wouldn't make sense for fiction, I agree. Most of these services do not have any fiction, based on what I see in the categories.

Nice! Thanks for sharing the other sites! I’m finding myself listening more these days than reading, too.

Shortform is £25.49 a month in the UK or £17.50 if you get an annual subscription. Why is it so much more expensive
All formats and I feel I learn even more when there is tests involved like multiple choice questions or fill in the blank, etc.
So there isn't any free website to provide us with summeries?
Nice T-Shirt by the way😁
This is an excellent review--thank you
