I’m in America and we never do the signing at the ceremony, I’m A photographer and I never seen it done this way, they either do it before the ceremony, my brother and sister in law did it a few days before their wedding, I was a witness and went with them but I’ve seen people do it right after the ceremony before the cocktail hour too but I actually like the idea of signing during Ceremony. Wish it was a thing here.
Is it a requirement for the registry to be signed in front of everybody or just the two witnesses? I would think it would be better if the signing of the registry was done at the very end after everybody has kind of cleared the venue. That way it is just the 5 of you and maybe the photographer to capture pictures up close of the signing. I don't know if the registry has to be signed before you can pronounce them man and wife or what but I think it would be better to do it this way
@@unboringwedding That makes sense. I am learning to do this to offer a nonreligious wedding option. Not saying I won't do one but want to offer other ways. Do you have any advice on (A) getting rid of nervousness the first time? And (B) getting word out that you are offering your services? In my case alternative ceremonies.
@@unboringwedding In the states this is something that we dont see during the ceremony. But I dont see why it cant be offered up to the couple during our pre-meeting. It can add some time and fluff to a modern simple ceremony. Thanks

What about the "everybody stands while they're signing" option?
