@@FromPeloToYourHeart It went SUPER well! Here are tips that helped me. I asked for certain things to be taken care of, meaning other people handle it, like a PA system so other people handled that and checked the microphone etc. I asked for a stand of some sort which they couldn't secure, so I bought a small binder and put the speech in it and held it in my hands, and the one or two times where I had to put it down because I needed both hands, I just put it down on a table that was there. Having a rehearsal also helped to iron out bugs. Knowing my speech was helpful, not so much because I wanted to have it verbatim, but so I was familiar with the ceremony in general. I still looked down at my pages too much for my liking, but oh well. Print your speech in big font and space things out in small paragraphs of one or two sentences. It's easier to follow that way. I'd say try to memorize it as much as you can and be yourself.
When you said "whether it's 30 people, or 300 people" I whispered to myself "or 3,000". Cause mann Indian weddings are wayy too extravagant. We call way too many people :O
Your topic isgiving away all our Rabbi’ secrets. Love it. I will think of this often. I do SynagogueTours at the #sandfloorSynagogue and sort of deal with that issue, too.
Interesting... I think it’s important to create the vibe that the couple wants. For me, I like the more traditional/formal format but if the couple likes this more relaxed approach then I would use these tips. Also when I’m a guest at the wedding I don’t want any attention on anything other than the couple and the depth of what is happening. I guess we are all different 👌🏻
Great advice! People cheer for a football game where the players dont really care about you.Why not cheer at a wedding where alot of people including bride and groom care.
Very helpful. What if the opening remarks are happening after the processional? How does the congregation know to shut up for the processional? And what kind of tone is helpful during the remarks that are clearly part of the service now?
Thanks Mark I have a ton of questions lol. It’s 3 weeks away and I’m just now getting around to getting serious about putting it all together, they want a short and sweet civil wedding so it should go smoothly I hope
I'm a newbie and just starting out. I just received my minister certificate in March and I am about to open up a wedding business. I've not done a ceremony yet although I've been asked to do my cuzn native American Indian wedding. It did not happen
How to Officiate a Wedding May I please bother you with another question? Where do I get the certificates to fill out and give them? I know they get the license, but I am to fill out a certificate correct? The company I got certified through sent me a small 2 or 4.
So besides you being amazing. You have a charitywater.org/spring - 30 minute ad playing before this video. I came to watch you, and instead got drawn into this beautiful, and amazing story about WATER; and a charity helping to bring fresh clean water to the world. I was completely moved - you may not have had anything to do with the ad, but I am so glad that I found it, and you. Keep up the great work--and please everyone who comes here, don't skip the ad!
I saw this happen in the hall near my brother's wedding reception. A female manager was upset with a caterer, who had signed up for a one-person shift. She said she didn't think he could manage the service alone. She was sternly all, "I've told you not to sign up for shifts by yourself, I've been very clear about that, I don't know how much clearer I can get for you to listen. You need someone there to give you instructions and guide you." And then the caterer said, "You know, I'm beginning to see why you work so many wedding receptions." What does his comeback mean? Whats the implied reason?

Thank you for the awesome advice
You are so welcome!
My 1st wedding will be on August 5, 2023. I just hope to do a great job.
Hey, congrats! You’re doing the work here and I’m sure you’ll do great!
Love your channel and tips . Keep em coming!
When you said "whether it's 30 people, or 300 people" I whispered to myself "or 3,000". Cause mann Indian weddings are wayy too extravagant. We call way too many people :O
@@unboringwedding I want a Star Wars wedding my future husband plan to exchange Rings and Lightsabers.
Thank you for this sir.
Your topic isgiving away all our Rabbi’ secrets. Love it. I will think of this often. I do SynagogueTours at the #sandfloorSynagogue and sort of deal with that issue, too.
This dude makes me wanna get married all over again - lol - love the comment "5 creepy seconds" - still laughing
Great vid. Greetings from Tampa FL! :)
Thank you from 🇨🇦! 🙏🏻
I absolutely love this.
Thank you, for this and your other videos. I appreciate your help. so much good advise.
Grasias por esta info, muchas grasias.
Aboot. Lol great video, thanks for the tips!
Love your style and relaxed manner. Great video, awesome tips ...... you make me want to get married again ...... I'll have to talk to the wife ;-)
(Getting ready to do my first wedding on Saturday - this is an excellent resource)
Thank you Mark for making these great videos, I’m about to officiate a wedding for my sons best friend ( first time) and your guidance is very helpful
Thanks Mark I have a ton of questions lol.
It’s 3 weeks away and I’m just now getting around to getting serious about putting it all together, they want a short and sweet civil wedding so it should go smoothly I hope
Appreciate you for the great tips through these tips i promse you that i am going to be the greatest mc
I'm a newbie and just starting out. I just received my minister certificate in March and I am about to open up a wedding business. I've not done a ceremony yet although I've been asked to do my cuzn native American Indian wedding. It did not happen
Your videos are so insightful! Thank you.. Question: Do you have to bring your own equipement such as a microphone?
Great tips to put us new wedding officiant at ease.
How to Officiate a Wedding May I please bother you with another question? Where do I get the certificates to fill out and give them? I know they get the license, but I am to fill out a certificate correct? The company I got certified through sent me a small 2 or 4.
Thanks for the tips!
Mark, thanks for all your awesome videos! How many weddings do you do each day? How do we price our services?
I don't see the link for the book or publication
I am a Brazilian fan!
EXCELLENT YOUR A MARRIAGE OFFICIANT SAVER!!!! LOL
I do what I can. :-) Glad I could help! 👊🏻
Thank you so much! So helpful new to this wonderful 'job!'
Lovely..kudos
Love your videos, Mark! I'm officiating for the first time (family wedding) and will be doing it in English and Spanish. Do you have tips (or a video) on how to do a bilingual ceremony? I have ideas for punch lines and for making people laugh, but am worried about making smooth transitions so that everyone laughs equally. Am I overthinking it? Thank you!
I love this channel!!!!
Love it. Thanks 🙏🏿
Nice video, thanks
Glad you liked it - thanks for the comment!
Hi, Mark. I'm 16 years old and I'm officiating my cousin's wedding tomorrow. This video has really helped me out. Thank you. Do you perhaps have any more tips and advice?
How would you change this if the couple have not infact been together for long and the wedding has not been 'years in the making'?
Thank I love all the tips🥰
Thanks. Absolutely helpful
Thank you
Wonderful ideas. Thanks.
