  • How to clean Gsxr 1000 K1 Fuelpump filter.
    This time i tried to fix a problem with rough running.

      Probably yes.Because bikes have metal tank and when you dont keep it full most of the times then condensate will come inside and then rust.

    I have a k2 finally got the starter clutch repaired and now it cuts out at higher rpms . Thanks for the video I’m going to do the same prosses.

    Guys note that there is a fuel filter inside that needs to be replaced if the bike doesn’t force good!

    the filter is in that black plastic thing. what you cleaned was just a pre filter

      At least that helped.Later in the other video i found out the other filter location and cleaned that also.

    How can I test mine ,it was not priming in the bike .IV took it out and it's like new cheers

      Check the wires.Is the voltage correct what should come to the pump🙂

    I was planning on doing this and never realised it's inside the tank. My last bikes was outside the tank and nice and easy to do. Oh well, doesn't look a massively difficult job, just annoying.

      Yes sometimes people put extra filter outside,but main is still inside the tank.It’s not hard,but yes annoying.

    The black part of the fuel pump housing has another fine strainer in top of housing near FPR, remove FPR and back flush with carb cleaner and clean fuel and air gun ,they will restrict fuel flow .

      Hey thank you for the info.I didn’t knew that when i cleaned it,but in another video my mechanic opened the pump also and put a new filter and cleaned all the parts.🙂

      I have an 03 gsxr1000 and it wouldn't Rev past like 9k... it ended up being just what ur talking about the filter that's actually inside the housing.. I seen videos of other people drilling em out where the output of the pump goes into the pump assembly but I just blew it backwards with compressed air with the pump off filled some gas repeat and it ran perfect after!

      Bike was quite dirty at that time.I washed her after that.

      Thats good to hear.In the beginning we thought my bike had the same problem,but luckly it was just a gloged injector.🙂

    just for the record ... half of that large black plastic part oh the pump is also a filter. it is also rather expensive to replace.

      It's the high pressure filter..the black plastic part

      ​@THREE AMIGOS it's actually the filter, the other tea bag is a strainer which sucks before the pump and the filter is after the pump

      Found that out today. Changed pumps and tea bag filter many times. It was the (other) filter that was blocked and causing the problems.

      If you put it together like you took it apart then everything should work.

    Hope you know that there is 2 filters in there not just that one small one.

    Bike runs on 3 cylinders, problem still not solved

      When see my other videos then you know the problem was with the second cylinder injector.🙂

    How many kilometres should be clean

      There isn’t a km said in the manual.My mechanic said that usually it’s good to check after 2 or 3 years.

    I have the same bike.
    U have a bad spark or a bad injector. Stop riding it u are doing damage to it

      I finally found the problem.It was the second injector.I replaced it and now everything is working.
