I remember you can change the solenoid without removing the valve body. I replaced the solenoid 3 times on my 46re and I know the 46/47/48re transmissions all have the same valve body design other than the 68rfe which is different.

I hate the park rod. That piece has been my biggest battle every time I put the valve body back in.

Greetings, awesome advice. I have a 2006 3500 Dodge Ram with a 48re. This video is very informative, is there a way to clean the system before installing the new parts? I have heard of other people putting in the new parts and having issues a few weeks later. Please keep sharing these awesome tech videos!

Hi I wonder if you could give me some advice I’ve got a 2003 2500 Cummins in the uk and I’m having trouble with the trans on the dash the gear indicator only shows P and N then the truck feels like it’s pulling away in top gear if I shut the engine off and restart it a couple of times it highlights D and away it goes I’ve tried changing the neutral safety switch range sensor and today after watching you video I changed the pressure sensor but has made no difference have you ever heard of this problem or can give me some advice it would be greatly appropriated thanks

Always change the filter if you drop the pan. Regardless of miles.

here's a question that can't be answered, p1781 on 42le , 99 chrysler 300 m, i know the code says OD pressure switch, so how do you fix that.

See im thinking this is my issue also but i cant get my 04 to go into any lower gears no matter what i try so im hoping this still fices it because when i bought the truck the tranny was stamped woth rebuild markings that were one month old when i bought the truck so im hoping when the heat exchanger went bad it took out the governor pressure solenoid and transducer and thats all but coolant never got into the tranny at all instead the tranny fluid pushed into the coolant and it got shut off for good when it happened and when i flushed the tranny lines and cooler and changed the filter and etc there was no sign of coolant at all it was just good red fluid but the coolant system was loaded with trans fluid lol it was fun flushing out lol❤❤❤
