This explains the exact symptoms my 1998 acura tl 2.5l is facing - I already cleaned up the IACV, EGR, intake manifold, changed air filter, cleaned throttle body, cleaned MAF, checked MAP, spark plugs + gap good, basically new distributor + plugs, fresh transmission fluid and filter. (And yes that old transmission fluid absolutely reeked along with the old differential fluid.)
Did a basic inspection of that awfully placed TCCS - couldn't find my DMM but the screens were clean of any debris. Only unfortunate part is that solenoid ain't cheap at all so gl to me.

    Hi everyone!.
I have a Benz A170, W169, year 2005 (Automatic), still running and serviced regularly.
The issue with the car presently, is that when starting (fresh from rest), the transmission is somewhat 'choked' and the drive reduced.
    The indication then is 'Transmission..'.
But, once the engine is turned off (obviously) and started anew , after a few minutes, everything works properly. When 'warm', car is ok.
Recently, this has happened more than once during the same journey, after 'fresh' start. Again, after turn-off and turned back on after a few minutes, it worked good!
The fluid level is ok too.
Note that this only happens after 'cold' start. System hot - no problem.
If anyone could comment and share similar experience, it will enable me to understand the issue, please. Many thanks!!!

@@JeanStudiosHD The process seems quite long but, from what I was explained..
1st. drain and fill up with a 'common' ATF,
2nd. drive 2000 kms on the same conditions as before and recover a total of debris,
3rd. Drain and fill up with 'recommended' ATF plus 'appropriate' additive (?!!),
4th. another 2000 kms to observe reaction - reduced gear slippage, unclogging filters, realigned gears, sound/noise etc..
5th. if persists, because the problem is that these additives generally don't last very long, then intervention and replacement of elements concerned or entire gearbox!
It seems logical to me to go to step 2 directly, that's what I should do....?

The code reader gives P0744. A/T Converter Soleniod Valve Function. The car drives forward and backward. But once i get up to 35 to 40 mph, it doesn't want to go any faster. I can drive around town but not on the freeway. Is the issue with my solenoid, or does the whole tranmission need to be replaced. 2015 nissan Altima 2.5 4:14

My car can shift into drive reverse and all with ease but the car doesnt move. The car after sitting for a while had a chattering noise that WAS the torque converter. I replaced the transmission fluid with cvt transmission fluid (2010 nissan altima 3.5 sr v6 cvt) and the chattering is gone but the car still doesnt move. And it feels like the car is in neutral or park at any time. The rpm when the car is in gear on idle does go down but i dont feel the “hook up” thats what i refer as the slight jolt forward the car had when i use to put it in gear at a stop light from neutral into drive.

I am so grateful for this wonderful video. There are the symptoms you mentioned, when my warning light comes on, there are harsh gear shifts and complex contractions, but when the fault goes out, everything is fine. I used it like this a few times and now I was stuck on a hill, it didn't want to enter, I smelled the brake pads, I pulled into the parking lot without pushing any further. Now the fault comes on at the first start and the car is having a hard time driving. Do you think I have caused bigger problems? Could my luck up solenoid be damaged because I added 500ml too much to the transmission oil? My volvo 850 is Aısin aw50-42

Sorry for the English translation. In summary, I think my TCS solenoid is broken and I used it like this for a while, but now the fault is constantly on and my vehicle does not want to move. I'm worried that I've caused a larger mechanical failure.

My 2000 Ford Ranger 3.0L will shift into Reverse and Neutral fine but it will die immediately when put in any forward gear. Will drive in Reverse as well. Could the Converter or the TCC solenoid be the possible issue. Truck was a gift and we found that no transmission filter was in it. We replaced the filter kit.

My 2015 Nissan rogue is showing p0744. Have had a few seemingly unrelated issues like a beat up flex plate and the shifting cable came completely free from mount due to stripped bolts, but other symptoms are mild so far. Could i replace the solenoid in it, even though it’s a CVT?

    • @brometheusthefirstbro4302
      @brometheusthefirstbro4302 7 месяцев назад +1

Yes nissan’s like your and mine (nissan altima 3.5L sr V6 cvt) have multiple solenoids one that is a torque converter lock up clutch solenoid and multiple others that are for shifting the car into “gears” that use hydraulic pressure with transmission fluid to “shift” my car doesnt move at all but it did have the same code yours has. P0744 and a few others more likely relating to battery voltage issue or wiring issue.

Hello, I passed my 2018 Nissan kicks in flood water. It stopped immediately. I tried starting it several times but it won't start. Till I got a mechanic to kick start it continuously we ended up with so much water coming out the exhaust. After some days the cvt transmission went out. We were advised to have it completely replaced with the brand new one. But due to financial constraints we bought a used one. Unfortunately it keeps jerking and you can smell something burning from the engine. Also when you accelerate it loses power and you will have to restart the vehicle before you can get it to move. Recently we diagnosed the car after changing the transmission a second time and got an error code of p0744 torque converter clutch intermittent. Please can you help. What must be done to fix the car?
