I also have had so many things happen that I don't think could be coincidences and also so many things seem specifically designed. But right now I am having a very, very hard time and it's so hard to get out of it and I have anxiety towards going to church (haven't gone in many years) and I just wish I could feel the comfort Mykayla mentions. Everything feels so difficult right now and I guess it's hard for me to let go and accept things. I keep worrying that I won't get out of this, but I felt like myself a couple days ago...

I loved this and found it interesting and inspiring. One question I have about LDS has to do with competing on Sunday. A tremendous volleyball player on my daughter’s team never participated in Sunday games. Her whole family is comprised of volleyball players. I wondered if this was a universal LDS thing or just the way this particular family practices their faith.

I think many people have fallen away from your religion because with much easier access to information, they have learned about the origins and history of your faith, as well as Joseph Smith. I wouldn't call it lazy at all, quite the opposite, I would call it education.

Yep and because of the internet you have access to a more diverse range of perspectives rather than being surrounded with people with the same beliefs as you

Unfortunately we live in a world 🌎 where everyone's opinions is right not wrong so that's why people find it hard to fit in cos they wanna say how they feel but there afaird to say how they feel in case they hurt the other person's feelings always express your opinions and believe in your values never change to suit people's needs believe in what you want to believe

As parents we want to protect our kids from some of the painfull things in life but we learn from pain.
I think the times were I learned the most were also some of the most painful.
I love Jesus and God. I grew up Roman-Catholic. I dislike the church. I love my faith, my Christian beliefs.
I know that we face trials or challenges and Jesus does not take them away but helps us through it.
I had times in my life were I have witnessed Jesus working in it.
Jesus is like a beacon of light guiding us in life. Thank You.

I have been in a painful situation for a couple months now and it's so hard trying to get back to feeling good. And I guess I rarely had to go through anything exactly hard in the past. So I don't know how people even get through it. The things that led to me feeling bad lately would not even be huge deals to many people. But for me, they brought me way down.

Nope, one of our main "pointers" of belief is "we believe man will be punished for their own sins and not for Adam's transgressions."

With marriage being eternal, what happens if you’re a widow and get married again. Do you have two husbands eternally? What if your ex husband committed a horrible crime like murder are you then stuck with him forever? Thanks for clarifying. Genuinely trying to understand. No judgement.

There are no answers to these questions because the founder- a convicted conman and proven pedophile- made it all up.

With situations like these we really don't have all the answers. We just have faith that God will be able to sort through everyone's individual circumstances and reach the best solution in the after life

Matthew 22:23-32 - Jesus was asked a similar question to yours on what if a woman becomes a widow & ends up marrying 7 times, what will happen at the resurrection. Jesus says....no one will be given in marriage at the resurrection. Go read the verses for yourself to hear more.

They most likely teach you don't get married again. Just like in pretty much all Christianity, divorce isn't really thought of as a legit thing, even though many still do it.

Prayers for you. I understand and feel totally alone sometimes in the godless world that we live in. And I respect you greatly for being a public figure with a set of faith-driven, traditional moral values. I think many people are too afraid to do that, and it’s extremely saddening. I will only say that His light shines brighter closer to the source. I urge you to read into the history of the beginnings of Christianity and how it undoubtedly points to ONE true Church of Christ, founded by Christ Himself and passed down to His apostles at Pentecost through the millennia. There are thousands of Christian denominations, sprouted after the Protestant reformation…all of which rely on man’s interpretation of scripture alone, forgetting the authority that Christ granted to His apostles. I hope and pray that you may find His light, at its source, within the one, holy, Catholic (universal), apostolic Church. Founded not by man, but but Christ Himself. Blessings, prayers, and Our Lady’s protection on you both and your beautiful baby to come.
