- Hey guys. Would have loved to do more of an install video but it was just to much of a pain to do. Any questions about the exhaust please let me know in the comments.

Hey man how is this exhaust running for you? I've had it now for a year and 3 months. Discovered the oval gasket you place just before the db insert melted on me. Think it's happening again because bike makes weird flutter sound and sends some loud cracks, don't the good kind of backfire. I need to get the screw from procycle because they said it could be running to lean (I'd I remember correctly) thus getting hotter. Hope my exhaust isn't ducked up
Dam! Mine seems fine so far. But il definitely keep an eye out and update if it does the same
I agree the quiet insert is perfect, not too obnoxious but loud enough to keep you safe in traffic. I'm expecting a few people to close their windows when you blip the throttle at lights.
I would love if you could test the other Inserts please

Been a while. Glad to see you’re chipping away at DR. Rode mine 4 the 1st time in a week today, It’s either been raining or blowing a gale here in Melbourne. Nothing like the Nor’westers in Darfield mined you. A windy little town to live in.

The lack of a heat shield concerns me if one is using soft bags.
Definitely know what you mean. My current set-up won't be a problem. But putting the original heat shield on it did cross my mind
I have an XT660 with dual LeoVince X3 pipes. I also have a pannier rack and soft bags. So far i had no problem with heat. My top bag however has one spot 😂 Just make sure nothing’s touching the exhaust

Sounds really nice. Its got a great tone to it. It was the pipe I was going to get if I had ended up getting the DR650 but I ended up holding on to my XR600. Enjoy, such an improvement from the factory anchor🤙

My full staintune was poppy as until I got the TM40 pumper carb which was jetted for the staintune and open airbox.Now its less obnoxious.Bit of carb jetting should fix it.Personally I like a bit of pop on the decel..
can you do a dB meter reading at half rpm?

I didn't but I have taken the current weight. Its been awhile but I think its gained alittle. Not alot tho

Did you have to adjust the carb at all? Jet change or no? I don't have any jets for this carb at the moment and if I were to get this and needed some I would order it at the same time instead of finding out too late.
Didn't do jets becauae my airbox is stock. All I did was let out the mixture a bit. That reduced decel pop a little

What is the weight difference?
Not as much as you would expect. 1 or 2 kg? 2.2lb / 4lb or so
@@NzJohny Ok, thanks! I'm actually pretty happy with the stock performance. I do think it is too lean on idle, so I'd like a basic rejet.
