  • Suzuki DR650 Leo Vince X3 exhaust install and sound. Overall I think it was money well spent, and the sound is really just a bit louder and deeper than stock making it pleasant, yet your neighbors won't hate you if get up early for work, just go easy on the throttle and it will be barely louder than stock :)
    From the seat of my pants, it's maybe 1HP extra, but the difference isn't enough to justify it getting dyno tested. A good part of the improvement comes from the carb work, combined to the exhaust when everything is set properly, this runs SO much better than stock.

    Exactly what I'm looking for! More bass so I'm heard just a-bit better, the stock muffler is too quiet. Thank you!

      Gotta love it, even after 20000km I still search for 6th gear sometimes lol

      For as high geared as it is, it's amazing that I'm also often looking/reaching for another gear.

    You should take the head pipe off and grind the weld down in it too.
    It makes just as much of a power increase as the muffler does plus it’s free.

      Yeah Ive been thinking about it, but it runs just perfect already :)

    Did you need to remove the thing at end of head pipe

    • @Speedytrip
      @Speedytrip  5 месяцев назад

      No it came with standard baffle installed and its loud enough, without a baffle it would be i sanely loud, with the baffle its just perfect :)
      Ps: Ive seen reports of people breaking the screws when changing the baffles…they almost feel like they are cross threaded.

    I just watched another video and someone said you need to replace gasket when installing is that necessary

      If you replace the header yes, in my case I just installed the slip-on, I didnt touch the header so didn’t replace the gasket.

    Does the exhaust already have a screen installed or did you not install that

    So basically 500 bucks for little to no performance gains? (1hp)?

    • @Speedytrip
      @Speedytrip  5 месяцев назад +2

      Someone buying a slipon to make huge HP gains will be disappointed :) Reasons to upgrade:
      A: It simply sounds better (main reason people put aftermarket exhausts)
      B: Bike will often run better with a less restrictive exhaust/small HP gain
      C: OEM exhausts can be quite heavy, slipons are often less than half the weight and generally look better.

      @@SpeedytripBang on why I put one on each bike I have. One of my favorite upgrades no question as you get the benefits from the second you start up (actually, well before as it's eye candy too lol)

      Just an exhaust won’t give you any power gains. You would also need to add more air and fuel to get the best bang for your buck. Most people would rejet and open the air box up at the same time if they were looking to get the most power. Just want better sound and a 5 or 6 lb lighter bike, then all you need to do is bolt the new one on and go. Great looking and sounding exhaust.

      Agreed and with the DR, getting the air-fuel mix right is what will make the biggest difference. I can now power wheelie in 2nd gear on stock sprockets 😎
