    Love my Sig Ultra Carry, which is a 9mm 1911 Defender like yours. I can hit anything I can see within reason. 100 yards is no sweat with a good accurate pistol.

    Great choice of EDC! I have the Colt Defender in .45. I carry it quite frequently and have found it to be quite accurate for its size.

    I have been carrying a Ruger LCR for the past 7 years... Awesome trigger, very light, and an easy pocket carry... I can't ever see myself carrying anything else. Thanks for the vid!

    Another great video. I usually don't carry, but I stay proficient with my primary pistol and revolver back-up.

    I certainly admire your choice of carry gun. I have to confess to not training with my Kimber Micro-9. I have run three mags through it (21 rounds) to check for round compatibility and disassembled and cleaned it. I will try to do better.

    I have carried a glock model 23 and more recently a 19 for 20+ years. I have a range in my backyard and couldn't begin to guess how many rounds I've put through the platform in those years. Go with what you know.

    Good to see you again, always look for your vids on the U TUBER, an now that I'm retired, its once a week to the range. Exactly for the reasons you said, with different toys for proficiency. A whole lot of rusty for lack of practice vs chasing a living. Thx for the vid

    Alot of the older shooters shoot weaver, or tea cuping, or modified weaver. So different then the shooting today.

    • @Icarryone

      I'm for using whatever works best.

    • @cnclife2739
      @cnclife2739 Год назад

      @Icarryone So am I. But weaver doesn't work with managing recoil. It's works great for slower shooting, but .28-.24 splits weaver us truly lacking. That's why most competitive shooters don't use weaver or tea cupping.

      I was once told that if you don't do something regularly, you'll get rusty at it. What they didn't tell me, is that the older you get the faster rust returns.

    I carry mostly Para Ordnance P12 45acp or Sig P365 Marco with an Icuras lower and Tactical Trigger on mine. I sometimes venture out with my Wilson combat EDC X9S or my Bul Viper. I have gotten so many video strikes on old videos from RUclips, that I stopped making videos. But l still shoot weekly and take new shooters to my range.

      @@Icarryone being a quadriplegic, i modify most every trigger so it is under 3.5lbs. 1911 and 2011 triggers are usually ok from the factory.

    Wow so colt is trying to make a comeback? Cause I had this colt and the 1991A1 5in and Commander size back in the 90s til I found out they were JUNK cause of plastic parts and series 80 and the quality control issues that colt had.so I sold al of them and switch to Springfield Armory 1911

    Dale, I noticed you gripping that semi-auto like a revolver when you were shooting it...😄
    Or was that because the grip is shorter than the palm of your hands like a 10 rd Glock 26 grip with no pinky extension?
