Ohhh! That’s what that “M” stands for on the seat controls too - it puts the seat position back after your Mistress gets out.
It feels like this grill was designed for locations where front plates aren't mandatory. The true crime is having this grill and front plates.

In my opinion the sleek European Plates compliment the grille. The North American plates make it even worse.

Thought the famous grille was weird when I first saw it on the internet but I genuinely like it a lot in person. The interior is next level IMO.
I saw it first in person and wanted to run away. But the rest of the car made me stay and buy one.
Me too first didn’t like it but now I do. Enough that I ordered a 2022 today
I don't mind it. I've seen a few new 4 Series' in person now, and it doesn't look that bad.

Really? I don't remember having seen anyone say anything about the Lexus grilles and I think I would remember, because I always bring them up to ask the BMW haters why big grilles are apparently only a problem on BMWs and nowhere else.
Granted, I didn't watch as many car themed RUclips videos in 2014 and thus didn't read as many comments, but I definitely remember how everyone swooned over the model year 2018 Lexus as if it were the most beautiful car ever.
To me the Lexus grilles look like a ruptured egg yolk that ran all over the front of the car like over a breakfast plate but even so, I never felt like I had to rage or make lame jokes about how ugly they are in RUclips comments, like everyone does now about this car.
It is just part of the design and that was that for me.
I really don't get the controversy.
Big grilles have been a feature for large luxury cars since the beginning of ...well... cars.

THISSS is a man. More specifically, a 1988 Doug Demuro. And today, Im going to go over his quirks and features, then take him out on the road to see how he drives. THEN, we will give this Doug a Doug Score.
Starting with the exterior, this 1988 Doug Demuro comes with a 2-tone color scheme. On the top, a grey shirt with the logo of the "Portland Sea Dogs" on it, and on the bottom, beige pants. An interesting color choice, and it seems to be aftermarket. Further, this model does not come with a hat. However, this is the Sport Model, so this Doug comes with a lapel microphone to record your commentary. That is about it for the exterior quirks, now we move to the interior.
Inside, this Doug comes equipped with every option a man would have from the factory. All internal organs are present, however, this one has a a special program loaded onto the brain, enabling it to talk endlessly about quirks and features. Quite a nice option, and a truly rare one from the factory. This option in combination with the color scheme makes this man a unique example, the only one in the world.
Now, lets take this guy out on the road, and see how he drives.
Doug is not exceptionally fast, with a maximum speed of 25 miles per hour, a bit slower than the average 28 miles per hour of most humans, however, as he has the sport package, he can talk while doing so, and record it with the aforementioned lapel mic. SO, when you are done running, you can upload your lap commentaries, and share it with your friends. Doug's acceleration is decent, reaching his top speed in just 10 seconds, quite impressive. However, due to a bad evaporative cooling system found on all humans, Doug can only keep up his top speed for a few minutes, after which, the top speed drops drastically. Doug's handling is impressive. Like all humans, he can turn 360 degrees on the spot, can jump to clear low curbs or speedbumps, and is able to move using his arms as well as his legs. However, what sets this guy apart in the handling department is his ability to fit into rear seats. Doug can cram himself into even the smallest of rear seats, the most impressive being the rear seats on the 996 generation Porsche 911 with hardback sport seats. Even the smallest guys often cannot fit into those rear seats, however, Doug did.
That concludes the driving experience of the 1988 Doug Demuro.
And now it's time to give THIS guy a Doug score... Starting with the Weekend Categories and Styling, Doug is ok but not beautiful and the cheap clothes don't help, so he gets a 5 out of 10. Acceleration is fine, considering his height (6'3 or 6'4/unknown) and he gets a 6 out of 10. Handling is only ok, sometimes he can't handle special purpose cars plus he's a little tall and not athletic so he gets a 4 out of 10. Fun Factor is high, especially for who he izz, and the 2 T-shirts bump it up a point or two, and he gets an 8 out of 10. Cool Factor is high too, he is probably the best reviewer among other RUclipsrs and he gets a 9 out of 10 for a total Weekend Score of 32 out of 50. Next up are the Daily Categories and Features, he has a lot of weird/interesting quirks and features and he gets a 7 out of 10. Comfort is top notch, this guy is really comfy and relaxed and he gets a 9 out of 10. Practicality is low, he isn't practical at all, he even uses his iPhone to record and he gets a 3 out of 10. Quality is mediocre for the class, this guy just doesn't seem quite well built and he gets a 4 out of 10 Finally..,Value...Doug is worth watching, but he's "depreciating" fast considering he's only 30 and looks like 40 so he gets a 5 out of 10 for a total Daily Score of 28 out of 50.. Add it up and the Doug Score IZZZ..60 out of 100 and here's how he stacks up against rivals...

@@galactico9994 I disagree. Look at the old 4 series - it had REALLY well defined lines and had styling that was unique to BMW. The new 4 series is really generic looking from the side with its rounded, bulbous sides. Not to mention the boring rear with minimal styling. Very ugly and boring car.

With that grill, I will definitely be keeping my 435i M-Sport a few years longer. I was in the dealership the other day looking for an X5 for my wife. When I walked over to the M440, the first thing the sales staff said was "What do you think of the grill?" I replied "I hate it. I love the rest of the car. Hate the grill".
My 2014 bmw 320i has that same gearshift function. When I press park from Manuel mode it moves on its own.
I remember when seeing the M badge meant something special and would excite people. Now there are more BMWs with Ms then there is oxygen in the air

I have the same exact model and color. In person it is a very sexy sports car, especially when you put on the front spoiler and side spoilers. and I get a lot of compliments. The video and pics does not do it any justice. This car is a beast on the road and it is like I get two cars in one with comfort mode and sport plus.
Picking mine up Friday. Despite opinions about the grill, which i absolutely love, this is the sexiest coupe released as of yet.
And you have your own mind and wasn’t put off by those sheep. Some people truly dislike it that’s their right but others just follow even though they haven’t even seen it in person or would never be able to afford it. What colour combination did you purchase?

When this car came out I laughed on the grill and thought it looked like a beaver, but honestly it has grown on me and doesnt really look that bad anymore now that I started seeing it often. Its unique and nothing like anything else in car industry, I started to love it.
I stopped looking it as " Kidney" grill and just as one piece. Makes it look better to me but still not my favorite.
I’m an M3 owner and love it. Way more distinctive than the current-gen M3/M4 grill.
I just got the 22 m440i gran coupe.. in Brooklyn grey with laser lights and extended shadow line.. I think it looks amazing.. kinda alpha romeo with some German engineering

its all good if the car reminds you of an animal, the maserati granturismo does resemble a fish in some ways but is still like at least a 9/10 in styling. this however is, gotta disagree, i cant get over how badly it ruins the styling of an otherwise good looking car

This is the first car I have seen that looks better with a front license plate. I actually quite like it from the front in UK spec with the plate covering a lot of the grill.

The large grill is fine is on the X7. On the 7 series it looks like when someone gets excessively large breast implants. Like way too big, like double G's or something like that.

I happen to like the grille, it brings back The grilles from the '30s, I just would have loved to see the bodywork a little more in line with the aesthetics of the grille, somehow it looks a little detached one from the other.
