Last one had a whole ass dedicated gpu. This one being integrated graphics should save much more power. That combined with the 70 watt hour battery should make this thing pretty decent with battery life tbh
AMD has done a lot of work to shrink down the size of their chips with the chiplet approach. I think this product will outline how performant small dies can be. Really crazy how cool this thing is. I imagine once they release the 2026 variant on 3nm, it will be absolutely insane how tiny and performant these chips will get. Let's hope they deprecate all the crazy, poorly binned skews and whittle the entire stack down to skews like this. This is pretty much all any average person needs, and it does it all.

Like I have Steam Deck, Aokzoe A1 Pro, Legion Go, OneXPlayer X1 AMD, I actually always tried to set the TDP to the lowest and I am enjoying 40/40 or 36/144 or even 30/120 FPS/Hz ratio but at the lower TDP possible to with my acceptable graphics quality. So having more power or higher benchmark is not what I am looking for.

In terms of pure shaders, the AMD APU is comparable to the RTX 4050 laptop. But I suspect that it is somewhere between an RTX 4060 laptop and an RTX 4070 laptop. Without a dock, the theoretical power of the 16 cores and 32 threads cannot be fully utilized. This is the issue of video editing and all that.
OLED is more expensive and probably more relevant, will give significantly less battery life. Last year's model got a lot of negative press due to the terrible battery life, 4-5 hours for mixed work loads. They have increased the battery size to fix that, but OLED would counter that.
This looks amazing, but its a thick 2 in 1 tablet. If the price for one of this is round $1000 and up, I would rather buy a decent midrange laptop with discrete gpu
I understand the RAM is on the chip so having 64GB options for a small user base would make it more expensive as they would need a new production run. Having 32GB only keeps costs down. Other devices will have more RAM but they will be proportionally more expensive, similar to Apple.
As long as i can buy a samsung galaxy tab s10 and a acer predator helios neo 16 with dedicated gpu for the same price i won't get the interest to get less in that form factor, it should cost 1000 to make sense

On the GPU side it has 40 compute units. So pretty much desktop rtx4060/rx7600xt levels of performance which is insane for integrated graphics. It’s a beast
WAS excited for this but No USB 4 v2.0 80gbps speed so old technology regular usb4 and they released the world's first thunderbolt 5 external graphics card. So half the bandwidth of regular usb4 40gbps why? Not good for hardcore gaming if you were going to get a external graphics card...
Shit is nice but too expensive. No one wants to spend 2 grand for a 2-1 that doesn’t even have discrete graphics. I paid about 1.3k for a 2022 rog flo in 2022 and that was more reasonable.
Even if the performance is lower I'd still consider that a good thing. On mine, Nvidia keeps fighting windows for the control over the gpu so advanced optimus is not as convenient to use as they marketed to be.

It does have stylus support. Older models struggled with palm reduction though, I havent heard anything about them fixing that for this model though

none of those guys will properly test it. Phawx will test it at low power and show scaling
On whisper mode I believe it goes down to 25 watts, and max 80 watts in turbo mode. Armory Crate has settings where you can set your own profile.
