Mufasa's explanation of the food chain is awesome. He explains death to a kid, in a meaningful way and respecting Simba's intelligence and ability to learn. He leaves the gory details of being eaten or decomposing, but still introduce their place in the Circle of Life.
Also when simba comes back at the end, doesn’t scar say something like “mufasa I thought you were dead” and if scar had eaten him, he wouldn’t even think that it could’ve been mufasa, as he’d have eaten him

Or the fact that there are no more male lions around the time of Scar's rule. So naturally, he'd assume a male lion standing in front of him would be Mufasa because Simba is literally his son and they would naturally look somewhat similar

How Pride Rock ended up so desolate and wasteland-ish is because you have (in movie presentation) two massive groups of predators hunting in the same turf. Overtaxing of the prey animals tips the scales, and yes, when Scar becomes Lion Tartar is when things start to go right, because Simba tells the Hyenas to beat it, thus lowering the number of Predator groups back down to 1. That's how I see it anyway.
It's also possibly supernatural, cause why on earth would a ghost of Mufasa appear in an otherwise grounded film (as grounded as it can be what with the talking animals and all)?

It could also be more referencing Hamlet, which was where the story of The Lion King originally got inspiration from (I know that there was some Japanese movie in the middle, but whatever). Likely a reference to the skull of Yorick, which Hamlet is most iconically known for holding. Since we don't have humans in this movie, the skull of a baboon would have been the closest thing to a human skull that they could get.
That actually makes a lot of sense. You could also apply that to the fact that Zazu was a servant or helper to Mufasa, and then becomes a slave to Scar, thus parallelism again

the fact that 6 adult male lions somehow found peace and decided to group up as their own different kind of pride without fighting for leadership all the time is already impressive to me. but its even more metal that all they did was eradicate other prides.

I always thought that the pridelands became so unfertile because Scar and the Hyenas ate too many animals all the time, and didn't let them repopulate.
That explains the lack of animals, but not the lack of rain and grass. That last part can only be explained as a cosmic punishment for Scar's actions, an unnatural unbalance or a huge coincidence. Now, imagine being crowned king just to face the dryest year in the Pridelands just because of coincidence or bad timing. That would be like being elected president just before a pandemic.

I can see how the skull was believed to be a lion's but I immediately wrote the original theory off because when I was little the baboon was my favorite animal, and I cried for three days straight because my favorite villain at the time (because he was "big kitty man") ate the poor baboon.
I’ve had a theory for a while, you might not see this but ima talk about it anyways. And that is the Serpentines from Ninjago are actually from Chima. Chima and Ninjago are connected via the dimension crystal (I think that’s the name I could be wrong) in the possessed arc of the show. Think about it. The Serpentine are all animals like the residence of Chima. My theory is Chima had the Serpentine as a tribe, however they did something upset the balance in Chima, so they were exiled to the Ninjago realm where they tried to take over only to get sealed by the elemental masters. Well, I think it’s more of a spur of the moment reaction than anything. Seeing how Scar only knew Simba as a kid and that Simba grew up to look a lot like Mufasa, he probably freaked out thinking the worse possible scenario. I mean, even his mother had mistaken Simba as Mufasa.

I always thought that the pridelands became so unfertile because Scar and the Hyenas ate too many animals all the time, and didn't let them repopulate.

That explains the lack of animals, but not the lack of rain and grass. That last part can only be explained as a cosmic punishment for Scar's actions, an unnatural unbalance or a huge coincidence.
Now, imagine being crowned king just to face the dryest year in the Pridelands just because of coincidence or bad timing. That would be like being elected president just before a pandemic.
I also thought that Shenzi or Sarabi mentioned that there's no water.

I’ve had a theory for a while, you might not see this but ima talk about it anyways. And that is the Serpentines from Ninjago are actually from Chima. Chima and Ninjago are connected via the dimension crystal (I think that’s the name I could be wrong) in the possessed arc of the show. Think about it. The Serpentine are all animals like the residence of Chima. My theory is Chima had the Serpentine as a tribe, however they did something upset the balance in Chima, so they were exiled to the Ninjago realm where they tried to take over only to get sealed by the elemental masters. But that’s just a little theory I’ve had. Also sorry to the hard cores fans of both shows if I called their arcs the wrong name or if the part they were traveling the different dimensions is in another arc, but it did happen
