Jarrod has a listing with price drops on a link in the description of most of his videos. They have sales info for places like Best Buy, NewEgg, Amazon, pretty much anywhere a laptop has a sale.
If you're not close to a Best Buy or Micro Center in the U.S., this online shopping is basically your only option. Make sure there is a good return policy!
I bought a razor blade 15 inch laptop (2022) [3080ti, i7 12800H, QHD 240hz] last year during Black Friday for $2100. I think it retailed for $3700 when it first came out. I liked the discount on the usual razer tax.
There was one for $2500 or $2699 for a Alienware m18 Laptop RTX 4090 + i9 14900hx at Dells back to school deal it. Dell has a 10% save back to school last month it was already on sale for $2899 but you can still use a code (save10) then used that to save 10% so.. $2899 x 0.10 = 289.9 then deduct that to the $2899 = 2610. still expensive considering the tax you will probably pay $2800-2900

Hi, i wonder if you have an advice on a laptop i am looking for. Low power (preferable good battery), chargeable via usb-c (preferably from powerbanks if possible), full hd screen, 16gb ram (soldered or expandable isn´t relevant) and the ability to add more ssd/nvme storage internally (so 1 nvme slot would be rather underwhelming). Price point is irrelevant. (no chrome os thing) I need a counterpart to my scar 17.

best time is black friday. for the newest hardware, it will be a lot more expensive than the last gen. the performance of the new gen is unlikely to be way better than the last gen.
I guess this is for US and Australia? In my country, prices don't go down meaningfully at any specific time of year, even though we have "black friday".
Jarrod I've been wanting to buy a new gaming laptop and from your video of the top 3 gaming laptops of 2023, I am considering buying the Lenovo LOQ. But I am confused about the specifications. Which one will have a better battery backup? i5 13450HX (iGPU option selected in Lenovo Vantage software) or Ryzen 7 7435HS (Since this one doesn't have an iGPU)?
The Intel one will do much better. Give us a few weeks if you want to see the AMD results, because I bought the 7435HS one and we're testing it to make a video.
Should I buy an i5-13th gen 13420H or Ryzen 7 Octa Core 7840HS laptop? I have been confused since Intel 13th and 14th gen are having some major problems

Wait for better offer ? Or wait for an offer on 4080 with different cpu ?
Yo! I just saw the hp victus 4070 for 900$ in your website. It's definitely a good deal based on the specs, the points where I am not so sure about buying it are in display (62% sRGB) and storage (512 GB, only single slot available) Should I buy it or can I get better deals in upcoming sales. (I mean, I can wait till december, but not sure if such a good deal will come again)
I've gotten great deals for Black Friday a few years ago, but seems the last couple of years its been minor sales... hopefully it will pick up and I can find a new machine worth the price this year.
black friday will prob be good this year as 2024 nothing new was really released so sales prob down and they need to move inventory for 2025 new stuff.
Hey Jarrod, just bought a new laptop and the battery is defective (stuck at 0%) would it be best just to use the warranty or try to repair it another way?
Hey people, I'm about to upgrade my laptop for a new one, and now that we have the prime day I supposed there is no better time to do so. My question is, ¿Which of my two options could be the best-budget laptop? Option A: Acer Helios Neo 16 -CPU: i7-13650HX -GPU: RTX 4060 -RAM: 16 GB -STORAGE: 512 GB SSD -SCREEN: 165HZ 1080P PRICE: $969 Option B: Acer Helios 16 -CPU: I7-13700HX -GPU: RTX 4060 -RAM: 16 GB -STORAGE: 1 TB SSD -SCREEN: 165 HZ 1440P PRICE: $1200 I want this for engineering, rendering, modeling 3D and some AAA games too, ¿Is the Helios 16 worth $230?
Lenovo legion slim 5 ryzen 7840hs with 4050 does it have 100% sRGB ? and Lenovo legion 5 with intel 14gen with 4050 which one is better is it worth to spend more money and get the legion 5 ?
I'm having this dissonance at the moment but in Australia we seem to pay a hefty first-world small market fee regardless. After looking at the price performance of all the laptops a legio 5i i9/4070 or 7i pro i9/4080 seems to be the ticket but the issue I have is the 5i 4070 for $2800 isnt future proof with fps already down below 60 in alot of new games. The 4080 is $4400 a on 30% sale. It just seems absurd to be paying $1600 to get up to the 4080 with the card and case being the only real difference. Looking at other older models with absurd price points on lenovo's website really has me scratching my head as to how and when they will reduce prices on the current gen in november onwards. I think there is no wise choice regarding good fps in high res but to wait for the new year and 4080 price drops or 50 series equivalent setups.
Is the Acer predator Helios neo 16 i7-14700hx with rtx4060 great for budget laptops that have rtx4060? Been trying to buy a laptop for my subject course😅😅any suggestions is great 👍 (Malaysia price for that = rm6300) after it's launch

I would like to inquire about the potential benefits of upgrading my current Lenovo Legion 7i laptop, which is equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card and belongs to the 6th generation of the Legion series.
Is it the 2022 model? That's the peak of Legions. The 2021 model has that Corsair ICUE issue, so I would. But don't upgrade from the 2022 Legion, because the RTX 4070 most gaming laptops top out at isn't much faster than the RTX 3080 Ti and has less vRAM. So TL;DR, if you have a 2021 or earlier Legion, then yes. But if you have the 2022 Legion, then no.

the best time to buy is when you actually need the thing. I remember in university just before the winter semester big exam time and assignment period my trusty old plastic lenovo lump did a pepsi. turns out the ssd/hdd hybrid thing said adios. so instead of looking for good deals and having to get a new laptop and get used to it and all that jazz, I just chucked in the cheapest 50 euro ssd in that thing and kept it going. it's been 3 years and this thing is so cooked and busted it wants to reach the big landfill in the sky. but I don't really need a new laptop, but I kinda do because this one might just peace out one day for good. the chasis is barely holding on, the fans sound like lawnmowers, the screen got some weird spots, the battery is cooked and the charging almost works 60% of the time. I think I can ride this bad boy out until the 50 series nvidia gpu's come around in 6-9 months

I think it was said somewhere it wont be till around early spring next year the laptop 50 series will probably be released and on top of it likely only the high end cards first. So overpriced laptops with them and no sales anyways so would be close to a year at least. Why I just went and get a laptop on sale now. 40 series have good DLSS and frame generation now so being able to do those will make them good for awhile, those two are the big game changers for AI tools. I doubt anything so fundamental will be added anytime soon but minor upgrades around it like ray tracing and hdr upgrades from AI which may get added to 40 series anyways with the newer AI cores.
Please make review about acer helios 18 because he has agood sale right now and i wanna know what the different in performance between him and other like scar 18 and lenovo i9 and like that so please make it and thanks for your content❤️.
Acer increased power draw for graphics cards to basically the same as all the high end brands now if they even do it. So wont be much difference, the huge price difference for a smaller bonus on the other brands prob isn't worth it. Can always return at best buy. I was going to get an asus 18 inch then I saw in store how absolutely ugly it is, a hideous light grey that is almost a morbid color and went with asus which is all black. The lenovo has an absolutely beautiful white ice 16 inch laptop but it only goes to 16 inch and rtx 4070 if that is within the specs you want it's beyond beautiful go take a look at bestbuy it really is worth it looking at stuff in person. I would have been so upset getting that asus it looks almost black online.

Have you heard of gen 13th and 14th Intel cpus failing?maybe worth waiting?
I bought a razor blade 15 inch laptop (2022) [3080ti, i7 12800H, QHD 240hz] last year during Black Friday for $2100. I think it retailed for $3700 when it first came out. I liked the discount on the usual razer tax.
I have your website permanently tabbed in my browser lol. Just waiting on that 4090 laptop deal of the century!
We'll do our best to find the one!
I was able to get Alienware m16 r2 for $1299 at Bestbuy RTX 4070 + i7 Ultra

just bought a rog stix g17 2023 with the 1440p panel and rtx 4070 for 1200usd

Very strong and nice build quality.
Hey @JarrodsTech , could you please comment on the latest intel chip definite failure rate? I read these effects the Desktop CPU, does this affect mobile laptop CPU as well?
I recently picked up a refurbished Acer Helios Predator with a 4080 for $1,500 in it and it has been gaming bliss for me! There is something uber freaking satisfying about maxing out every single graphics option! haha
4080 for 1500$ when ?
@@synexpubg8971 lol I left you a link and told you how acer is still selling these on ebay (refurbished with the 4080) for well under 1,500 but I think the owner of the video removed my reply because he doesn't make any money if you don't purchase through his own links >.
Scored a 2023 Lenovo Legion Pro 7i with 4080 for about $600 off. Love it.

Incredible explanation video ❤ beyond 💬 thinking,
Hi, i wonder if you have an advice on a laptop i am looking for.
(no chrome os thing)
I need a counterpart to my scar 17.
I’m on my knees for the refurbished acer predator helios 16 to come back on sale it was 1400 for i9 4080 32gb 240hz with 1tb ssd, I wasn’t able to buy it but can a week later now that it’s out of stock 😭
Coming to usa next month hope I get a good deal
Is it worth buying a ASUS ROG Zephryus g14 (2024) in Canada for $2599? This is the price with 32GB ram, and 1TB ssd.
Hi Jarrod, please review REDMAGIC Titan 16 Pro when available, would be great to see your take on a new entry to the gaming laptop scene 👍👍
What processor do you think is better r5 8645hs, r5 7640hs or r7 7735hs? Help pleaaaase😢😢😢
best time is black friday. for the newest hardware, it will be a lot more expensive than the last gen. the performance of the new gen is unlikely to be way better than the last gen.
Hey jarod, can u make a vid dedicated on the maxed out new acer helios neo 16?
I guess this is for US and Australia? In my country, prices don't go down meaningfully at any specific time of year, even though we have "black friday".
The thing is, the super high spec gaming laptop that available in my country is so expensive, you can buy a Lot and Build a house in it. 😢
Jarrod please help me with your wisdom
the pro 5i config is:
14900hx , 4070, 32gb ram, 240hz 2560x1600 dci-p3 500 nits, 512 gb m.2 , no windows , 300w slim charger. Price £1636
The 5 slim has :

Which would you choose ?
I will play 90% of time pubg. I am worried about fps and the cpu temps. Will any of those cpus make a difference in fps? Is a 14650hx or 14700hx better ? Same other specs
Or maybe choose a different machine ? Wait for better offer ? Or wait for an offer on 4080 with different cpu ?
Thanks for the video.
Still waiting for Asus zephyrus g16 review. Coming next week ?
i love your deals site, but do you know if one exists for non-gaming laptops?
Thanks Jarrod.
Yo! I just saw the hp victus 4070 for 900$ in your website.
It's definitely a good deal based on the specs, the points where I am not so sure about buying it are in display (62% sRGB) and storage (512 GB, only single slot available)
Should I buy it or can I get better deals in upcoming sales. (I mean, I can wait till december, but not sure if such a good deal will come again)
And also do tell about the build quality and other decisive features of this laptop if you know.
Do you really need the laptop currently or eles just wait a bit

I've gotten great deals for Black Friday a few years ago, but seems the last couple of years its been minor sales... hopefully it will pick up and I can find a new machine worth the price this year.
black friday will prob be good this year as 2024 nothing new was really released so sales prob down and they need to move inventory for 2025 new stuff.
Hey Jarrod, just bought a new laptop and the battery is defective (stuck at 0%) would it be best just to use the warranty or try to repair it another way?
I'd probably use the warranty
Guys is 4060 i7-13700 32gb 1TB 240 hz 1600pix for 1700 euro a good price? Should I buy ASAP?
I'm sad I never got to go to CES when I was in a role where work would pay for it.
Hey people, I'm about to upgrade my laptop for a new one, and now that we have the prime day I supposed there is no better time to do so. My question is, ¿Which of my two options could be the best-budget laptop?
Option A: Acer Helios Neo 16
-CPU: i7-13650HX
-GPU: RTX 4060
-RAM: 16 GB
-STORAGE: 512 GB SSD
-SCREEN: 165HZ 1080P
PRICE: $969
Option B: Acer Helios 16
-CPU: I7-13700HX
-GPU: RTX 4060
-RAM: 16 GB
-STORAGE: 1 TB SSD
-SCREEN: 165 HZ 1440P
PRICE: $1200
I want this for engineering, rendering, modeling 3D and some AAA games too, ¿Is the Helios 16 worth $230?
I think there is no wise choice regarding good fps in high res but to wait for the new year and 4080 price drops or 50 series equivalent setups.
febraury and march have good sales
Is the Acer predator Helios neo 16 i7-14700hx with rtx4060 great for budget laptops that have rtx4060? Been trying to buy a laptop for my subject course😅😅any suggestions is great 👍 (Malaysia price for that = rm6300) after it's launch

Jarrod quick question regarding gaming laptop why do they occasionally have micro stutter my friend gaming laptop mine aswell. From my predator to my gen 9 legion 5 4070 it micro stutter. But gaming pc doesnt have issues like this?
Can u use Amazon links instead of acer links there are always no providers avalable or computer available even going for a mid lvl computer
My legion 5 died after just 3 years. I'm in pieces.
Mine too
I don't think those apply to Europe and Asia where it costs double even with older 2023 and 2024 aren't even present in official regional website.
Please review the llano v12 laptop cooler.. i just picked it up and holy moly it works excellent! I use it on an asus scar 3 hero edition,, i7 9750h rtx 2070

Hey Jarrod, I am planning to buy the Legion 5i, RTX 4070 core i7, based on your reviews so far.
I’m a doctor and i get pretty busy a lot of times. Will it be a waste of money or should i go for it?
I just got my Lenovo Legion 5 Pro and I love it! Also pay attention to the numbers and letters on the processor to decipher which one it is exactly. i7 could mean anything. I kinda lucked out and got a Ryzen HX series processor which is their flagship chip. HX is the same with Intel. Lenovo and the Legion was definitely my favorite in terms of sleekness and build quality I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Cheers!

the best time to buy is when you actually need the thing.

I was able to buy Alienware M16 R2 RTX 4070 + i7 ultra 155h(Best laptop 240hz + 2k reso + advanced optimus) for $1299 at bestbuy for back to school deals and I was able to also buy MSI ge68hx i9 14900hx + RTX 4070 for $1399 at Costco sadly its only 1080p + 144hz. I returned the Alienware M16 R2 (biggest mistake) I was kind of dissapointed because of the reviews(I didn't know rtx 4070 is kind of bad) how the 4070 is only 8gb vram so I decided to buy a pc but then canceled it then bought the MSI the Alienware m16 r2 wasn't $1299 after I returned so I didn't bought it again instead I bought MSI. I'm still waiting for the 50xx gpu series, hopefully coming end of this year
I think it was said somewhere it wont be till around early spring next year the laptop 50 series will probably be released and on top of it likely only the high end cards first.
Does anyone know the best place for laptop deals in the Middle East?
