Really like my 14.5” super duty. Would never have guessed what a difference it was compared to my first rifle. Totally different experience. Love that you added Christ is King…earned a sub!!
I have a couple of giesseles and I love them. I just built my brother his first AR with super duty everything except for the FN 14.5 M4 A2 style barrel with a KAC ris rail. I pinned a SF close tine to it and it shoots beautifully!
The marked / witnessed cam pin is actually something SOTAR / Forward Controls Design started. Chad from SOTAR states that cam pins reinserted in the same orientation extends life of the pin, creates less erratic wear, and therefore also extends the life of the bolt and the bolt’s cam pin bore. The philosophy behind this is the surfaces will truly mate with one another if they only wear on the same sides and surfaces as opposed to wearing both sides of the pin and both sides of the pin inside the bolt. I think there is something to it and it matters, so I have begun adding witness marks to all my cam pins with a punch or oil pen. Hope this helps.
Got 3 full super duty (10.3, 11.5, 14.5). Expensive high end rifle, worth every penny (if you can afford it). The craftmanship and serious attention to detail is noticeable as soon as you start testing it out of the box. I bought one not knowing Geissele other than triggers and I was immediately hooked.
If anyone ever gets the chance, come to the geissele gas gun matches they do every month from March to September. The best range you'll ever get to shoot at, and it's a great match. Bill Geissele is at every match he is a great guy to bullshit with and talk guns.
The difference between the 11.5 and 14.5 SD is 3 inches, and 5oz in weight, a loss of roughly 175fps and a gain of 2500psi in bore pressure. Most people forget to buy the correct buffer for their setup that helps. Also BillG recommend IMI razorcore 77gr and 40gr is noticeably faster with less felt recoil, good for HD. The eratac QD ball lock adapter to UWL is the best forward sling mounting option for the SD that doesnt hit the rail or rattle. I sold my 11.5 and kept my 14.5 which I enjoy more.
That reflective bronze on the super duty rail is so sick. Mine is just the dull FDE like your URGI. Makes me want to sell the rail and try and get a new one…
I've got 11.5 and 14.5 super duties and I'm a big fan of them. I'm not noticing any gas to the face when shooting either of them suppresed with my rc2762 mini.

Great video dude. I’ve been debating on which one I want for awhile now and I think I’m gonna go with the superduty. I don’t care about clones & the SD just has more going for it with a lower price tag and you can buy the upper or the complete rifle with all the parts I already kit out my AR lowers with.

I own two URGI uppers. Geissele. They make great stuff, yes. I love their triggers, lower parts kits, and their stripped uppers and lowers. The MK16 isn't the only rail with issues, in fact the MK8, MK4, and the MK14 have all suffered from issues of bending, cracking, and loss of zero for laser units. Listen, is Geissele a great company? yes. Do they make great stuff? yes. But would I trust my life with a URGI over say the quote "Outdated" and "Old school" Block II? Absolutely not. And the argument over barrels in the Block II being non-CHF barrels... Just buy a quality barrel and slap it in there. I'm not writing this to start a war, but just so that someone whose thinking of snagging this upper as a "SHTF" or "end all be all". OR as the only upper someone is able to afford. Fantastic ans literally the same with same ammos...I have several of these and been shooting them for years. Every length is 1 moa or better easily even with not great ammo. 75gr hornady black I have shot .38 and .44 groups consecutively with each of their barrel lengths. Accuracy is great, just depends what you want to for a smoother gun as buffer and springs. I use tubbs flat wire on al mine with different buffers based on requirements and barrel lengtb and very soft shooters and follow up shots are easy
