Sweet and sour fish looks awesome. Brooks parents are so much fun to follow when they show up. Her mom is such a sweet lady and just holds her own fishing and doing all the family dose with a smile, love, and appreciation for her kids. Dad just can't get enough of the adventure and the meals too. I think your channel is so much fun because the parents and the grand parents are included too. Great job all around Vic and Brook. Keep it coming.

OMG!!! I wrote down your sweet and sour recipe. We ate it tonight with some King Mackerel we caught today. Absolutely amazing!!! My kids even loved it! BTW, I bought all of the ingredients prior to fishing this morning. We caught king mackerel for the first time today. My husband now wants me to buy ingredients for a grouper recipe so that when we go out tomorrow we will catch a grouper, hahaha.

Hi Victor, I really enjoy your videos. Especially the catch and cook ones with your own take on the different cooking styles. I’d like to suggest cooking up a whole fish deep fried in the wok and pouring your sweet sour sauce over the crunchy fish. That would make a beautiful presentation like the dishes that you see in an asian restaurant. Cooking the fish whole will let you experience the different tastes and textures. Hope you give it a try I’m sure Brook’s dad will be willing to give it a try.

Ketchup started out as ke-tchup in China ~500 years ago and at that time was a fermented fish sauce. Around 1750 or so, ketchup came to mean any number of thin dark sauces made from mushrooms or even walnuts. Tomato ketsup didn't come on the scene until the 1800's when it frequently included anchovies. It wasn't until 1890 or so that the modern, sweet tomato ketchup was formulated.

Ketchup was originally made without tomatoes. ... There are still many different types of ketchup. Two of the oldest are Walnut Ketchup and Mushroom Ketchup. These have been joined now by more exotic ingredients such as Mango Ketchup, and Baron's Banana Ketchup, made in St Lucia.
