  • Welcome back to "The Ones" where we will be visiting all of the world's Flight Number 1's. Today's journey is with Qatar Airways on their Boeing 777-300ER equipment in the Economy Class from Doha, Qatar to London, UK. Let me know your thoughts about Qatar's Economy Class as opposed to their Q Suite and First Class products that we have all seen so much of.
    Thanks for Watching!

    I'm super glad to have found your channel, and for the past days I've just been doing a deep dive (or a sky dive?) watching them all. This is a comment on a video out of order, but I'm loving this The Ones series and your content in general. Cheers!

    The majority of flights are operated by QA. What you are seeing is the codeshare logos. If you watch you will see a flight logo change if it's codeshare.

    The airport is a lot more crowded late at night when a lot of the connecting flights leave between 11pm and 3am . I flew to Bangkok via Qatar on the A380 in November the safety video had lots of football players on it then .

    • @PatrickSheaAviation

      That makes sense. I’ll be there again soon closer to that time so it’ll be nice to see it when it’s a little busier

    appreciate how you took time to cover the impressive Hamad airport (ironically, the Oreo pop shop was the least impressive for me) just admit it: you wanted to try out that baggage slide ha! and agree that the boarding seating process seems organized. there's a weird bit on take off where the view had a superimposed shadow of something shaking but that view of the city below was still outstanding and finally when you got just above cloud level it cleared up. that economy product did seem like a slightly elevated experience compared to other airlines

      I tried to cover more of the Hamad airport in my A380 video as well. And Qatar economy is probably the best economy class I’ve come across

  • @tally1604

    The airport gets much busier late at night to early in the morning. Most flights depart and arrive within that 5 hour window.

  • @cody4004

    I'm fairly sure that most of those different airlines that you saw on the departures board but not at checkin are just code-sharing with Qatar and do not have actual aircraft/flights out of Doha.
    I could be wrong though.

  • @mlungisimalinga1183
    @mlungisimalinga1183 Год назад

    The airport is mostly a transit airport so most flights are coordinated to depart at night. It gets very busy at night until around 3am

    24:33, Wow the lavatory is wider. They only have the wider lavatory at the very rear end of the plane, which is interesting and good. For other lavatory, it's normal and standard, but I prefer the wider lavatory.

    I’ll be flying that, in economy class in a couple months to BKK, 16 hour flight from Atlanta US.
    Qatar site has upgrade to Extra-leg room for $160. Is that any better and worth it?

    • @PatrickSheaAviation
      @PatrickSheaAviation  Год назад

      I haven’t flown in the extra leg room economy seats so I can’t speak to that as much, but for twice the flight length, it can’t hurt to be able to stretch out. It all depends on how easily you’re able to sleep on airplanes still I’d say though

    It depends on the time of day, on how busy the airport is. Doha is like Dubai, an international hub and there are some very congested times.

    • @PatrickSheaAviation
      @PatrickSheaAviation  Год назад

      The economy class is my gold standard. I had never even flown in a premium cabin until about a year ago, so I feel that an airline is only as good as their lowest class of service

  • @jphinnyc

    Did they actually have enough seats for people in each zone? Also I think gate lice will be gate lice. They’ll linger and clog up the boarding area no matter what.

    • @PatrickSheaAviation
      @PatrickSheaAviation  Год назад

      I didn’t see too many people standing so I’d assume they had at least enough seats for the majority of people to sit. I agree about gate lice, but even if it can be reduced at all it’s better than nothing

    • @PatrickSheaAviation
      @PatrickSheaAviation  Год назад

      That sucks! I too find the 3-4-3 setup to be a bit cramped. Cramming in the extra seat really makes a noticeable change to the cabin feel. Sucks about the crew on your flight too! I haven’t ever had a bad experience with Qatar crews in my personal experience
