- In this flight review, we fly Qatar Airways Economy Class on a B777-300ER from Doha to London Heathrow.
We will take a tour of Hamad International Airport, the home of Qatar Airways and the World's Best Airport for two consecutive years according to Skytrax. Once onboard, we will take a full tour of the B777-300ER Economy Class seat, In-Flight Entertainment, and amenity kit. We will also enjoy the hospitality of the Qatar Airways crew and the Economy Class meals.

Very well made review! I always flew Emirates everytime I flew to India, but this winter I will be trying out Qatar for the first time. Hopefully I have a great experience with Qatar.. can't wait!

LONDON > DOHA > DHAKA this winter with Qatar, looking forward to it. Ive used Biman direct to my destination from Heathrow and Emirates with a transit from Dubai before which were both great so can't wait to see how Qatar holds up.

Hi friend! Thank you for the video :) I am thinking about choosing seat 35A as well on the Boeing 777-300ER. This is mentioned at 2:48. Would you say that you had full control of the window seat? It seems like the passenger behind you could also access or move the window if they did not like the light :( I am planning to take videos as well of my experience from JFK to DOH!
Thanks for watching! Yeah the misaligned window wasn’t great but luckily the neighbour behind didn’t mind me having it open.
There’s a website I always use called Aerolopa where you can see all seat maps and even the window alignment, very useful. Make sure you check the right 777-300 config as QR have a few different types as you probably know!

On 2023 I' was fly Qatar Airway Economy class from NYC to Doha and Doha to BBK the Sit is so small compared to another will be my first and last.

Would you recommend 35A as a seat, as opposed to maybe 23A?
Hey there! Thanks a lot for watching! It really depends on the configuration of the aircraft - QR has multiple configurations for the B777-300. I recommend checking Seat Guru if unsure! Make sure the seat map matches with what you see on QR’s seat selection map. Hope that helps! 😊✈️
We will fly with our son in the B777-300 towards Maldives in January. Do you think we are fine with sitting around drows 66 or 67 to get some views over the atolls as we fly in? :) We are not keen on paying extra for the front seats. Tx!

I have never flown into the Maldives myself but I believe a window seat around those rows should give you an unobstructed view - they are significantly behind the wings.
A tip if you don’t want to pay extra for seats: sometimes if you go to the customer desks at Doha Airport (near the gates) about 90 minutes before departure, you can ask if they can give you a better seat (for free). You can give it a go - it has sometimes worked for me in the past 😉

Hey Anna, thanks for watching! According to QR’s website you can bring a small handbag or small briefcase in addition to your carry on.
In my experience, it really depends on who’s checking you in at the airport. Some are more flexible and won’t say anything if you have a small backpack but others (and depending on how busy the flight is) will ask you to fit it into your carry on - if it doesn’t fit they may ask you to check your carry on. This is more restrictive than other airlines but I presume they do it to speed up boarding times and improve punctuality. Hope this helps! :)
I flew LGW-DOH last week with Qatar on an A380 (Upper Deck) in economy, and I have to be honest and say that the seats were some of the most uncomfortable I've ever sat on.
I'm a OneWorld Emerald frequent flyer, and compared to British Airways, Finnair and Iberia which I have flown on recently, their seats on short-haul are far more comfortable.
Overall, the 'Qatar Experience' was somewhat underwhelming.

The 3 4 3 layout is bad I was on a full flight Gatwick to Doha. Sitting by window flight attendant so far away, like she couldn't communicate. NOT A PLEASANT FLIGHT, NOT IMPRESSED! Felt like a sardine.
Thanks for watching and sharing your experience, Walter! I have been there too on other occasions - experiences in Economy cabins can be very different depending on how full the flight is. I had the luxury of not having a neighbour in the middle seat, which made a big difference :)
