This coating is really good, excellent result it differs slightly from getechniq crystal serum ultra blaclk, in some ways it's better. The fact that gloss will increase over the next 30 days is impressive, congratulations I look forward to an update video on the coatings progress. I just washed my car and it is shinning like crazy it's due to rain tomorrow but what the hey right.
Hey pan. Huge fan of your videos. I was wondering if I can email you regarding your services. I don't have any social media platforms. So I was wondering if there is another way of contacting you. Please let me know. Thank you.
Pan, curious as to why you cut short the life of the CQuartz 3.0 on this vehicle to coat w/ Opti Coat +? Also, how's the slickness of the OC+ vs CQUK3.0? Thanks in advance!
How have you missed seeing Yvan until now? He's the hardest working Detailing Rep in the world and he's always rockin' the button down shirt, bow tie and dress pants!
BigOldDog maybe he didn’t recognize him all trimmed down to his fighting weight. Still dapper but very trim now. High five Yvan 🖐🏼 (The Dapper Detailer)
He's always well dressed. Even my girlfriend was shocked when she saw the footage. A man dressed with a bow-tie, buttoned shirt, and dress shoes to detail Pan's car. I wouldn't have it any other way. :)
those dudes at optimum are Jedi level chemist. they have it all covered you cant even overapply the polish, one spray is one spray... mad respect all round. thanks Paaaaaaan, you da maaaaan.
Oh yeah, I absolutely love their Hyper Compound spray. Hands down the most enjoyable and versatile compound I've ever used. It can cut much better than some people claim, it is just VERY pad specific. Which is yet another benefit in my opinion, very versatile depending on how you pair it. 👍👌✌
@@sdguy55 definitely. I'm a big and vocal Optimum fan. You guys are constantly willing to take the risk that comes with developing new and unique products. Plus it's always fun to show people you don't need to sling these big globs of thick gritty dust throwing abrasives to remove defects efficiently. Optimum brings a little high-tech elegance to paint correction.. 😜
Thank you to everyone who has watched the video! I am the Western Regional Manager for Optimum and would be happy to answer any questions you might have. Great video Pan!
I have had Opti-Coat Pro+ on my SQ5 for 1.5 years 24k miles and it still looks great but seems to have lost some small amount of hydrophobicity over time. Ivan mentions that there is no rejuvenation product, so I am curious what I should do to get the hydrophobicity back to new. I used ONR for the first few months, then switched to the Opti-Coat Maintenance products when they came out. (Seems like the maintenance line is hardly ever mentioned and buried on the website, curious if these are still being supported. Not having gallon size offering of even the M-Wash makes it difficult to keep supply.) I apply Hyper Seal every wash as a drying aid which helps but as Ivan mentions doesn’t last but a week. I will try out the FerreX and clay towel as mentioned but have to be honest that I am tempted to try another sealant like the probably over hyped Bead Maker. Is there any risk in trying that out on my coating? I feel like this is sounding negative but want to emphasize how happy I am with the Opti-Coat Pro+ and the gloss is still amazing. Just wanting to get the water shedding back to peak performance. Maybe now that Pan has Pro+ on his car he will try out the Opti-Coat Maintenance line of products. Just confuses me that they made a line of product for maintaining this coating and it is never mentioned in the video. Ivan uses regular Opti-Seal and not Hyper Seal, and says to use ONR for ongoing washes. Feels like I am probably wasting money and effort on this line of product that I can only buy on their website as they don’t allow other online retailers besides installers. Sorry for the ramble but when I see someone from Optimum offering to answer questions I had a backlog that I didn’t know where to ask. Thanks
@@NeatDramFan some great question's here. I will try my best to answer them. Additionally if you would like to reach out to me my email is adam@opticoat.com If you have lost some hydrophobics the best thing to do is to do a chemical decontamination wash. To do this you would use the Opti-Coat Power Clean and spray it onto the vehicle and agitate with a damp ONR towel. Pressure wash off. Then use Opti-Coat Ferrex and spray onto the surface and agitate with a damp ONR towel. Pressure wash off. Then hand apply Opti-Coat MDR with a damp ONR towel and allow to dwell for 10 minutes and then wash off. Follow up with an ONR wash and top with Hyper Seal if you wish. To answer your question about Hyper Seal, it does actually bond to the surface. Hyper Seal will last 6 months easily on a well maintained vehicle and if not applied to a vehicle with contamination. Optiseal on the other hand will not bond to Pro+. It will shed it off after a week or so.
I met Ivan at a special car wash launch a few years back. It was with him I spent most of my time there. A real gentleman and very knowledgeable! It is a great product.
Glad the Paaaaaaan is back. Great episode ! Thanks for sharing 🤘🏼the optimum product line looks more appealing every time I watch another demonstration. The product is so different it’s taken me a bit to process the idea.
Thanks!! Yeah every time I meet with Yvan, my mind gets blown by how differently we use Optimum products compared to other traditional products. But the performance is there and the results speak for themselves. I'm always highly impressed!
Hi Pan, This was probably one thee best formal ceramic install videos I’ve seen, there is always critics on ways to “ wash “ a vehicle to prep it for a coating, optimum has changed the game with the way his company do things. As you know the traditional way to clean a car for ceramic would normally be pre wash with a PH 12 or 13 pre wash then 2 bucket wash, fall out etc… But the way optimum did things probably had people shocked 😮. The car looked amazing. Optimum was very thorough with there products. I have used ONR for years. I wish there other products was available in the UK. I’d love to have there brand with my company. Very good video Pan. Thank you for sharing 😊
Thanks! I was very pleased with that coating on my previous BMW. How did you discover my channel by the way? Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on RUclips as we surpassed 905,000 subscribers and we have over 117 million views! I have been detailing for 26 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing.
Wow! Thanks for the video, Pan. I was not a big fan of Optimum products but I changed my mind after hearing the answers to the questions from Yvan. Also, the wheel and body brush is a brilliant idea. I think Optimum went with flaggable bristle 0.010 dia which will not hurt clear coat and paint. Thanks to the wonderful minds at Optimum for bringing such an amazing product to the market. Pan, cheers buddy!!!
Thanks Chandra! Yvan has been detailing for well over 30 years and has a lot of experience. I too was skeptical about Optimum products years ago, before I met Yvan for the first time. After having talked with him, and tested pretty much their entire product line for two years now, I can comfortably say these are all top notch products at great prices. They just are confusing to some as the techniques are so simple, that people often believe it can't be good if it's that easy to use lol. Have you seen the two part series I did about reviewing their lineup of products with Yvan? Here's part 1: ruclips.net/video/Akh4CUe24q8/видео.html Part 2: ruclips.net/video/P3X6k3sM1R0/видео.html
Have been using Optimum products 3 years and on! These products have got revolutionary changes in all aspects in the detailing industry! Take it from the ONR wash to Opti-Coat PRO+ Ceramic Coatings! And thank you PAN & YVAN for this video!
Awesome Product. We always suggest Opti Coat Pro Plus for our clients, it is the best we ever used. Thank you Yvan for this refreshment and many thanks to Pan for recording such a great episode with great Q@A presentation. With love from Egypt
You have to love the final outdoor shot, and your neighbors car. I’ll not say anything else. Love the video, more to point the product. What might be a real plus, is that the delivery system for the coating doesn’t look like it would be barred from shipping by Air as so many coatings are extremely toxic. That’s a plus here in Maui. Optimum has been winning me over , product by product. They just seem to have it all together.
Thanks Alan! Did you watch my review of the Optimum lineup of products I had done with Yvan? Here is part 1: ruclips.net/video/Akh4CUe24q8/видео.html And Part 2: ruclips.net/video/P3X6k3sM1R0/видео.html
Thanks for quick response, I’ve gotten familiar with Yvan from many other videos like with the Rag Company. I’ve used ONR over a year now in many different applications.and as I need , professionally have started using a few others. I sent an inquiry as well to become certified to apply the ceramic here in Maui.
@@LacroixCruiser I wished....very carefully! I have a local installer will be checking in with them for a Quote on both restoring my Land Rover to better than new and Taking my Chrysler Fiat 500l Lounge. Lol I know its the worst car to own but its mine to turn head status for shine.
After watching Yvan detail the bad boy super car, I was curious what coating he used on the BMW (Interesting it was OptiCoat which I used on my large Ford F-250). I end up just appreciatingthe amount of experience between these two awesome gentlemen. I go back 4 years ago when I first learned about detailing & ONR from Optimum & Yvan. He is an insanely kind, humble, and treasure of knowledge. Hence, when Pan the organizer steps aside and allows him to detail his car... that says A LOT. Unfortunately for me, I have become so picky when I detail my own car that I don’t trust anyone and don’t foresee Yvan & Pan detailing my car in this lifetime. Thank you Pan for showing us that you allowed Yvan to detail your car. It shows your humility that detailing is a never ending learning journey. You can review and test 1,000’s of products but it truly comes down to learning techniques from professionals and applying them to our own unique car. Thank you Pan for giving me a place to come where I can listen, study, observe, and apply within my own experience. First class, best of the best channel!
@@PanTheOrganizer Good grief Pan! You are responding to a comment I made on a video that you released two years ago! How or where in the world do you have the time?!? Take note RUclipsrs: If you want a dedicated subscriber base, reply & engage with them. I am a Pan subscriber for life!
@@Detailers-Business-Academy They are very well EARNED words! I got lucky when I coated my first car and the detailer turned me on to you if I wanted to learn how to properly take care of my car. When you speak…I listen and pay attention. All of my best to you Sir!
That is so true Shawn! I don't think that will ever happen though, as car manufacturers cut costs as much as possible, and having each car individually detailed and coated from the factory would be cost prohibitive and they just wouldn't take the proper time a true passionate detailer would to do a good job. So your job will never be in jeopardy if you ask me. Detailers are soooooooo important in this world, and I'm trying to make the world understand that with my channel. It's a craft, an art actually, that I have much respect for. Detailers are super hard workers and seeing a customer's face light up when they pick up their car and see the end result is so gratifying. After a home, a car is usually the second most expensive purchase in a person's life and for the people who appreciate taking care of their things, there's no better feeling than a freshly detailed car. :)
A car manufacturer could offer a fully coated car straight off the factory line for a premium price, of course, my guess would be anywhere between $6,000 to $9,000 added on to the sticker price this option would only be available when the buyer requests it.
@@DesensitizedLemons I agree it could be ceramic coated right after the paint process is fully cured before assembly. Could probably be done with robots.
Thanks for this special event, looking for the update once it fully cures in early May. It was finally fun to give credit out to the person that kept popping in on the other side of the car shots. I had heard TRC videos on how Yvan and wife were a dedicated team, this really shows that bond. You video gear did a great job, at times I could see the special logos in Yvan’s shirt. Optimum chemistry is just great science, keep us updated always on great products.
Thanks Will! You should watch a series of videos I did with Yvan on the rest of the Optimum lineup. Here’s part 1: ruclips.net/video/Akh4CUe24q8/видео.html
Great video Pan! Wait till you use Hyper Seal. That maintenance product is amazing. I always get calls from customers telling me how much they love that stuff.
Heheh he's literally the only person I ever authorized to detail my own car! :) Yvan has 30+ years of experience and he really knows his stuff. Great guy!
I'm curious, how do the polymers in ONR not interfere with the polishing process? I thought that was why we used eraser on paint before polishing, so that nothing was there.
Hi! First, thanks for watching! Yes for consumer grade ceramic coatings, CarPro CQuartz UK 3.0 took first place in my 2018 awards video and that's what I had on my BMW. Great coating. It will last up to 2 years, has great gloss, but you have to apply CarPro Gliss on top to get good slickness and water spotting protection. CQUK 3.0 typically resists pH levels 3 to 13. The Optimum consumer grade coating is Gloss Coat. Gloss coat is easier and quicker to apply, and gloss is similar to CQUK 3.0. Maybe a bit more gloss and slickness on the CQUK/Gliss side, and maybe slightly more durability. Gloss Coat is a hybrid SiC/SiO2 coating and also has a durability of roughly 2 years. The star in my opinion is Opti-Coat Pro+. This is a SiC (silicon carbide) coating that will last upwards of 7 years (pretty much for the entire life of the car actually) and resists chemicals pH 0 to 14, so the entire pH scale. It is glossier and has more slickness compared to consumer grade coatings. But needs to be applied by a certified installer.
Such Master Sensei levelzzz. Mind just got blown. The information provided from my quotes on ceramic coating was not even CLOSE to the precise detail and information provided by this gentlemen. SUBSCRIBED!!!!

I am a new learner and love to detail my car as a hobby, glad I came across your channel. Thank you for sharing your passion.
I do not believe you or we can say it is amazing by seeing the results. Not a true test in my opinion as the paint on this car was amazing to start with. The cars owner is a detailer and probably gets detailed frequently....VERY frequently. So is this system any better than others on the market? Who knows. I will say though both the car owner and the detailer know their stuff. Last comment is the detailer all dressed up...that is a class act!
Mine was done professionally. I just used beadmaker. Did improve it with shine and depth. Seems to attract dust or it may be pollen due to spring here. Seems to deflect dirt from wet roads better. Can see lots of gloss even when it needs a wash.
Exactly. Proof in point, when we did the inspection with the Scangrip light, there were no scratches. A lot of time was put in to engineering that wheel and BODY brush. It's clear coat safe. Yvan has so much knowledge and has been detailing for over three decades. He knows his stuff.
@@ImaYam Could be a preference thing. You also see that they're doing a deep clean with claying included. Claying is typically followed up with paint correction and paint protection anyways.
I briefly had a 2018 M240xi in Estoril Blue and had it coated with Opti-Coat plus. Unfortunately, my needs changed and had to sell it to get an SUV. I am badly missing my BMW and Opti-coat plus coating! I sent your videos to the new owner so they can see how to properly maintain the coated vehicle.
@@LacroixCruiser thank you, I love the passion and enthusiasm that you display for detailing and your brand Optimum. Is this available on eBay also. I like that this professional ceramic coating doesn't need infared cameras to cure them, when the Car pro professional finest reserve does. But I'm glad to have learned about this ceramic. From the video the water beading looks great so thus the gloss. I'll be definitely checking out I'm amazed by it.
Yvan thanks for being such a badass, hopefully ill be seeing you in the next training session. whenever that is, I missed the march class. And thanks Pan for another amazing video! Your car is 100% perfect now, good luck on not getting bored LOL
I used to love it. I played hockey for 14 years, and winter was the best time of the year. Summer was tough because of all summer preparations. Everyone went to seaside, just us guys were jogging and sweating in gym :D now I don't play hockey anymore, and I still like winter, but this year we didn't have any. I was able to detail almost all winter :D and I don't like summer so much, too hot. Cant even sleep normally :D everything on you is sticky and blaaah 😂
Hello paaaaann !!!

And once pandemic is over and we get on with our business plan opticoat would only my priority if they ready to offer good services at end.
Great video Pan! I think most of us would love to see some stress tests on this product so we can actually see if their claims about chemical resistance are that good.
Chemical resistance tests don’t mean much to me personally as I would never submit my car’s paint to such an onslaught of chemicals in real life. But yes this coating would sail through those tests for sure, it even resists claying which is usually a big no no on coatings. I have a massive one year update video coming up, you won’t want to miss it. Stay tuned! :)

I see you still have snow there. I live in UK. I bought some Meguaiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax and applied it to my car. My friends are truly impressed. I do my own detailing on my own car only and and friends and neighbours want me to do theirs] also.
Nice video Pan! Seems a really nice coating! But the only thing I don’t like with coatings is the fact that when you have some swirls you can’t just polish them out quickly without removing the coating. We al know the paint can get some swirls through the years even when maintained properly. I personally can’t imagine not polishing my car for several years...
There are a lot of myths propagated in the industry because one person had a bad experience once. Brushes come in all sorts of finishes, some scratch, some are perfectly safe.
here was absolutely no damage to the paintwork, as demonstrated by the inspection with the Scangrip light. The paint was already flawless (thanks to my taking care of it lol) and still was after the brush, which is a wheel and BODY brush designed for that purpose and ONR was used as a lubricant as well. Yvan has over 30 years of detailing experience and is vice president of Optimum. He knows his stuff and I always have 100% confidence in his skills.

Pan TheOrganizer you were hilarious 😂 when you said heart Attack! I must’ve missed the part whereby the lubricant was on your paintwork but I did somehow notice the part whereby the brush was designed for paintwork. I’m the type of guy whom uses a sponge for a car tire and not a brush. So you can say I’m kinda gentle ha! But a Vice President personally doing your vehicle, that’s something! Thanks Dan! It was an awesome experience and I thought it would be cool to share the entire installation process with my viewers. That way, you guys get to see a behind the scenes of how a professional installs a pro grade ceramic coating. And who better to apply Opti-Coat Pro+ than the VP of Optimum himself! :) I always learn a lot when hanging out with Yvan and Sylvie. Two great people!
Professional Grade = Pay wall. That is just how business is done, anyone can pay money to take a course, to pay money to get the product, to then charge a customer to put it on. Its an artificial way to keep customers coming in. I am never a fan of "pro grade" systems, because all to often its just marketing bs.
@@cylejh While this is true for most things, I will disagree and say this isn't the case for Ceramic coatings. Sure, a weekend detailer with some wits can probably do it just fine without issue. But imagine average joe schmoe who knows nothing about detailing, buys a professional ceramic coating and applies it to their car improperly, with potential to ruin the paint. Then goes back and blames the company that it ruined his paint. Hell most average people don't even know how to apply a regular wax, let alone a true ceramic coat. So there's definitely a market for professional application, and yes you have to pay for that service.
@@soapa4279 I would disagree on the whole with your argument. Most people do not drop 3-400 dollars on a ceramic system for their car. That with sufficient warnings would protect most any company from any suits. Again this is just a way to massively up sell a product, as most place I have talked to quote be 1000 and 2000$ for application. I am not saying the product is bad, in fact I think its quite good, but they know most people will not be dropping 400$ on a shelf product, but when you slap PRO on the side, and then gate it behind "professional" installation, you can charge two to three times that price and people will line up for it.
Opti-Coat Pro+ can only be applied by certified installers. Although the application process seems simple on camera, you actually need experience applying this as if you get any high spots that you forget, the only way to remove those will be through heavy machine polishing and possibly water sanding. This product is no joke. The consumer grade version, Gloss Coat, is way more forgiving and that one can be applied by the general public.

Thank you to everyone who has watched the video! I am the Western Regional Manager for Optimum and would be happy to answer any questions you might have.
Great video Pan!
Thanks Adam! I appreciate it!!
Hi Adam, do you have a store in Maryland, USA?
Hi Adam , amazing product do you have a outlet in the uk
Kind regards

Additionally if you would like to reach out to me my email is adam@opticoat.com
If you have lost some hydrophobics the best thing to do is to do a chemical decontamination wash.
Learning so much from this channel, sometimes just wachting you videos over and over, so relaxing and full of clear info!

Great video weird to see Yvan with his former company and not with diy detail 😊😊😊
Hehe
Glad the Paaaaaaan is back. Great episode ! Thanks for sharing 🤘🏼the optimum product line looks more appealing every time I watch another demonstration. The product is so different it’s taken me a bit to process the idea.
Thanks!!
Yeah every time I meet with Yvan, my mind gets blown by how differently we use Optimum products compared to other traditional products. But the performance is there and the results speak for themselves. I'm always highly impressed!
I just got my car ceramic coated with Glanz. Once I notice any fading or rejuvenation needed I’m going to try this - amazing!
Thanks for watching Dan!
The Monopoly guy is detailing this car.
LOL
Be careful! He will land you in Jail!
Different mustache though.
Hi Pan,
This was probably one thee best formal ceramic install videos I’ve seen, there is always critics on ways to “ wash “ a vehicle to prep it for a coating, optimum has changed the game with the way his company do things. As you know the traditional way to clean a car for ceramic would normally be pre wash with a PH 12 or 13 pre wash then 2 bucket wash, fall out etc…
But the way optimum did things probably had people shocked 😮.
Here's part 1: ruclips.net/video/Akh4CUe24q8/видео.html

Thanks Lallett!!
Pan knows his stuff, that's why he chose Opti-Coat Pro PLUS! Loved this video from start to finish.

One of the many reasons I love Optimum, no-nonsense products and company that does not buy into marketing hype.
I fully agree.

Thanks Chris! It was amazing indeed!
This video is purely Genius. Completely sold on the product. Worth every penny.
Thank you PAN for bringing this to us.
Thanks Philippe!
OMG! That water in the last part was awsome! Its like it never touch the paint. Nice video as always
Yeah pretty sweet!
Awesome as usual! I love the line: "dry your car with water!"

Awesome Product. We always suggest Opti Coat Pro Plus for our clients, it is the best we ever used.
Thank you Yvan for this refreshment and many thanks to Pan for recording such a great episode with great Q@A presentation.
With love from Egypt
Thanks for the positive feedback!
Thank you.

Thanks for quick response, I’ve gotten familiar with Yvan from many other videos like with the Rag Company. I’ve used ONR over a year now in many different applications.and as I need , professionally have started using a few others. I sent an inquiry as well to become certified to apply the ceramic here in Maui.
Opti-Coat is Incredible, honored to be certified with them for my business. Great choice!
Thanks Philip!
Is it pretty standard to wait 1 week before washing? I was told 30 days for this coating which sounds INSANE
This is def one of the best, if not thee best detail vids ever posted.

Very well said thanks! I appreciate such kind words. 🙏🏻👍🏻

@@Detailers-Business-Academy They are very well EARNED words! I got lucky when I coated my first car and the detailer turned me on to you if I wanted to learn how to properly take care of my car. When you speak…I listen and pay attention. All of my best to you Sir!
Very impressive results in the final shots. Too bad cars don't come from the factory like this
Yeah all cars would be so amazing!
@@PanTheOrganizer Not the Mirage though. Not sure you can buff that out.

Yvan used Paint Prep before applying the coating. It’s Optimum’s version of Eraser.
Blake Presson Optimum No Rinse(ONR) is a pure Cleaner, it doesn’t leave anything behind except for clean paint.,
Awesome video 🔥
Thanks Cameron!
Unfortunately Optimum Hyper Polish is not available in Europe?! Can you help me please?

Hey Pan. I know you used to champion CQuartz UK 3.0 as your fave. How do you think it compares to regular consumer grade opticoat?
Evchao wonder how CQuartz compares to Opti coat pro (non + version) which still is installed by a certified detailer.
@@PanTheOrganizer looks like I'll need to buy some gliss lol

I do not believe you or we can say it is amazing by seeing the results. Not a true test in my opinion as the paint on this car was amazing to start with. The cars owner is a detailer and probably gets detailed frequently....VERY frequently. So is this system any better than others on the market? Who knows. I will say though both the car owner and the detailer know their stuff. Last comment is the detailer all dressed up...that is a class act!

you use that OR soap to wash with? instead of two bucket with CarPro installed on both cars
You use ONR as a rinseless wash. ONR is not a soap, it’s a polymer.
for all the people freaking out about the brush - Judge the result not the method.
Exactly. Proof in point, when we did the inspection with the Scangrip light, there were no scratches. A lot of time was put in to engineering that wheel and BODY brush. It's clear coat safe.

Just an incredible result. I can't believe how nice it turned out!

Stay tuned! :)

@@PanTheOrganizer hearth attack lmao~!!!!!!!
Enjoy the “armor” on your vehicle and well done on your Meguiar’s hybrid ceramic wax too👍🏻 Thank you Pan 😀
WOW, The only guy i would trust with a brush and sponge !!loll! full cure 30 days..results are fantastic... no toppers.... no layering.. only need decon once a year or so, love Yvan's cool aplicator mitt !! Awesome Video Pan, Thank You Yvan and Sylvie, Learned so much...had to watch again loll! Im sold!! ;-) plus, doesnt have to cure under spotlights!!
Thanks Dan! It was an awesome experience and I thought it would be cool to share the entire installation process with my viewers. That way, you guys get to see a behind the scenes of how a professional installs a pro grade ceramic coating. And who better to apply Opti-Coat Pro+ than the VP of Optimum himself! :)
I always learn a lot when hanging out with Yvan and Sylvie. Two great people!
@@PanTheOrganizer Awesome install from the Man with the Bowtie Himself !! ;-)
Yeah I need to step up my dress code game! :)
@@PanTheOrganizer ;-)
We need Pan The Organizer bow ties
This man seriously detailing a car while wearing a button up. Now that’s class
Yvan is a classy guy. Super nice person.
What's stopping you from applying this yourself ? Seems to me the application process is no different than a "consumer" ceramic coating.
I think only pro shops are able to get the real ceramic coating products, and not available to consumers.
Have you tried the optimum one step compound and polish?
