DCT wouldn’t even be fair. There are other videos on it already and the EN with DCT beats the Type R in a drag not roll by Samlegions video. The NGS boosts and quick shifts make a huge difference. A guy made a video in the Veloster N DCT beating a GR Corolla in a roll race so theres that too. The GRs AWD will win a drag hands down all the time tho. Anyway EN is an underrated beast with DCT. In manual…. At least its more fun i guess.

Thank you guys for the consistent and quality content. The type r is cool, but the new one looks so much better. The GR Corolla is inherently cool because its getting 300hp from a 3cyl engine. For the price comparison the Elantra N is in a different stratosphere. It has better lap times, respectable drag/roll race results, it is a first gen variant, has top tier tires, is the best sounding 4cyl ever potentially, and the dual clutch is noticeably quicker...oh and the Elantra N comes fully loaded. I am excited to purchase one for its performance and I am a former charger 392 owner!

I don't get the point why the GR impressed you in the drag race.
After all it's the second more powerful - only 6hp down - of the three.
On top of that it's the only one that has 4WD.
I'm actually surprised that it didn't win by more than that.
However, it was obvious that the GR would win the drag race. Otherwise Toyota would have done a pretty poor job.
