To anyone reading this comment, this video is clickbait. What happened with TT2 was very upsetting to many but that DOES NOT mean Cedar point is getting declines and nearing it's end. Cedar Point is regarded by many as one of the best amusement parks in the USA and is home to many world-class roller coasters. They receive ample attendance and will not be done for just because a ride was experiencing some difficulties. In addition, If Cedar Point was actually in trouble, (Not like it ever will be!!) the creator shouldn't be using informal language such as "cooked" in the title. That's how you know it's not serious.
If ttd2 was torn down today, nothing would change. As an ohioan that lives 30 minutes from the park and goes almost once a week, that ride is not the main attraction nor what's bringing in guests. I couldn't tell you the last time I rode ttd2 or ttd. There's many times where I go to get food(food pass) and ride gatekeeper then leave after walking around with the gf. Things would have to really go down hill for the loyal fans to stop going.
Went to CP a month ago. Last time I was there I was in diapers and the Mean Streak was a brand new ride. Throughly enjoyed everything. I know there's much bigger rides now but MAN I love the Magnum! It definitely lives up to its reputation
TT2 will reopen again next year and Cedar Point will always stand strong, I know people are frustrated and have every right to be but if the ride was safe the ride would be open!
Cedar Point isn't going to go out of business because one of the rides is experiencing technical difficulties. At least you got a handful of clicks out of it.
Never said they would go out of business, Just looking at the possible negative drawbacks from taking a gamble with Zamperla that so far hasn't paid off with TT2. Thank you for your comment! 😊😊
TT2 was a bad idea to begin with. A more practical idea would be extending the track and keep the tower while its momentum does the rest. They could launch multiple trains this way.
TT2 would have been great. Giving it a layout (longer) maybe an inversion or 2, that would make it a world class strata full circuit (My spelling sucks sorry)
@deedeeknutsson5205 Yes, but why use a rollback coaster? From what I understand now is the height is the problem. Its too costly to maintain something powerful enough to lift something that high.
The problem with quite a lot of American parks is they need to keep building new rides to attract people. The reason: lack of theming. In Europe, most parks are themeparks. They don't have to build new rides every year, because their rides immerse you. That is way stronger then just an adrenaline rush. American parks should rethink their strategies on how to have people coming back to the park without massive investments in new rides every year. Yes, we all like a new ride. But take Phantasialand Germany for example. It takes them 5 years to build a ride. But everybody is talking about it. Everybody wants to visit this park. They invest a lot in storytelling, theming and planning. Way less in the ride itself. Atleast the crazy hunting for records is gone. The hunt for the tallest coasters didn't exactly put the best coasters onto the surface. Same goes for the fastest and longest. I have way more fun on a good designed layout in the middle of the specs then I have on most of the record breaking coasters.
Cedar Point and Zamperla need to get Top Thrill 2 right. They put so much work, money, and effort into this whole project. They have all winter and half the spring to get this thing right. They just have to or else Zamperla could face a lawsuit and potentially face bankruptcy.
This video is just a bunch of non-sense tbh. There are literally two top 100 coasters opening at the same park, in one year, and cedar point is cooked. They're on the path for record setting attendance.
That's very true I think that's why it was such a late addition to the 2025 lineup. A little concerning but also very exciting! Thank you for your comment! 😊😊
According to Tony Clarke, TT2 will be open next year. Yes, he used the word "will". It was in WFMJ's youtube vid "Siren's Curse tilt coaster opening in 2025".
TT2 being down honestly made the ride time waits longer on other coasters and also other coasters have had small down time. CP really has let us down this season after waiting three years for it to be reimagined, I am easy to please but i doubt if i return to the park until next year.
Given that Magic Mountain has had steady or increasing attendance for the last 15yr (Minus Covid), it kind of negates any future predictions if one of your key comparison data points is actually false.
If this coaster doesn’t produce during the 2025 season CP needs to cut their losses and save tons money and go back to the drawing board by just dismantling the ride altogether and start over something else similar to fury 325.
Cedar Point won’t close. But others need to be realistic about what the corporate merger means too. You can expect change. That might mean higher prices, policy change, more emphasis on commercialism and a different experience in the park. I’m guessing most here are still not going to be hurt by this (as the clientele is younger with more parental financial support). But when things do seem difficult and it’s impossible to get a human American on the phone, you’ll see the negatives in some regards.
Lots of weird speculation based on other parks, and I haven't even gotten teo minutes i to the video yet. TT2 being down changes nothing; this parks lineup is stacked and it's as packed on the weekends as it's ever been lol. If you want to do a speculation video, do one on how sirens curse could have had a better home in a number of other CF / 6F parks. Hopefully this means that Kings Island is getting a world-class coaster in '26, because that tilt-coaster would have been cool to have.
Six Flags Entertainment is worth $8 billion… and cedar point is one of the premier parks. They are not going to fumble a decision that holds their entire business model in the balance. lol, you as a young adult get a little bit of knowledge and get super smug making decisions on behalf of an entertainment company that has been around for much longer than you’ve been alive. You’re hilarious man. Anything for views
It’s clickbait-ish … the coaster community welcomes more QUALITY content creators absolutely. But… not like this my man. Reformulate and then come back to it. My two cents.
What a non-video. Cedar Point's success in no way hinges on TT2, or any one ride, for that matter. You could even take away Steve, Maverick or Millie and the park would be fine. TT2 could never reopen and Sirens Curse could suck and CP will STILL be fine. The simple reason for this is every guest has a different mix of favorite, hated, indifferent, and no-go rides. However, they do stand to knock it out of the park if they get TT2 up and running reliably, and Sirens Curse is a success.
Just looking at the other side of things. We all know what would happen if TT2 succeeds, but I just wanted to highlight the other possible outcomes. Thanks for your comment 😊😊
Cedar Fair was producing record financial results in 2022/2023 and thru Q2 2024. Six Flags was the chain that was struggling, regressed back to 2017/2018 levels in revenue, income, etc....and attendance down severely from pre Covid levels You clearly don't know the financials. Your post was as silly as the video headline, which was so stupid that I didn't watch b/c it's obvious clickbait ignorant nonsense.
@@coasterfreakjr. They actually opened rides on time and they were actually good. Not that tt2 isn’t a good ride it’s just that we got Steve and now this

Why are we doing coaster community clickbait in 2024 dude. This is GP type of content

Even IF TT2 fails, CP is fine. The lineup is great, and the GP has enough to do to keep them busy without TT2
I love CP uhhhhhhhh

They should move Kindga Ka to Cedar Point.
no. they shouldn’t, Great Adventure is one of their most popular parks, Kingda Ka is the reason for that
