1st and above everything, CONGRATS for the new addition to the family. Awesome! I guess many of us DO care about you on a personal level. Yes, lots of ecco. You need some acoustic shields/boards. You can make them for a couple of bucks! Thanks Lars! thumbs up!
Hey Lars, Huge congratulations to you both on the forthcoming baby. You really should call him/her Fusion, that would be epic. Thanks for the links to Scott and Johns videos, I'll be checking them out for sure. Love tips and tricks.
Damn it Lars! Why did you have to go and have a baby with your wife!?! I was looking forward to meeting you. :-) Congrats, it's such an exciting time, enjoy your sleep while it lasts and say goodbye to your disposable income, but it's all worth it, Enjoy!!! And thank you for the shout out and sharing my presentation.
Sorry about that :-) Was hoping for a chat over a drink in Vegas....Have safe travels and enjoy the event. I saw the exhibit hall plans the other day and it looks amazing. Looking forward to your feedback
Lars, Good video as usual. Thank you I just wanted to ask you if you could adjust your focus on your camera. Your hands are always focused but you are blurry. I personally like to see you focussed. Not sure if it is just me. And of course congrats...
Hi Eric Mathieu Thank you for watching! I think it is a combination of my camera and that RUclips does not let you do 1080 on livestreams. But, I will have to look into it :-)
Congrats Lars, Glad to see things are going well. Your videos are very helpful and informative, really enjoy following along in these videos! Looking forward to more guide tips and how to's!
I can think of one good question for using Tangent Circle Dimensions. I reverse engineer a lot of flat panels like instrument panels on boats. All of the perimeter fastener holes and many of the interior cutouts need holes (circles) that are a specific distance apart and a specific position from one or two edges. So instead of doing the math for the center to center or edge to center, how could I use diameter and distance and tangent to locate the holes? Also, could it work to triangulate the position of a hole using the tangent to two edges or between two holes? Many of the panels I make were previously handmade. So the position of perimeter screws and the instrument cutouts are unique. I can send an example photo or drawing manually done if that helps.
Hi Gaylord Livingston Thank you for watching! I might need a picture lars.christensen@autodsk.com One way could be to create a sketch with a triangular shape that are tangent and connected to the center of the circle. You could paste that sketch into new part files so you don't have to re-create it all the time. BEst, Lars
Great news! Good fortune to you and your family. That's an acceptable reason to miss being at our beckoned call. Have you done the 3D ultrasound yet? Seems like a no brainer right?
Hey Lars, question for you. Lets say you've been designing with fusion out of the box (fresh install) and completed a couple of designs with the Y up as fusion came and you decide to change the default orientation with Z up instead of Y. Will this transfer to the completed projects when saved as an STL, or do we need to manually flip the part now in the completed drawings. This is very important in 3D printing because orientation goes hand in hand with the need for support material for 45 degree overhangs. I changed the setting to Z up and when I opened a completed drawing the part still lays as originally designed with the Y setting.. So i was thinking that maybe the orientation would change to the new Z settings when converted to an STL.. What are your thoughts?
Hi james moreno Thank you for watching! Personally, I have always handled print rotation in meshmixer, because it seems like a better workflow to me. I design my part in Fusion 360, then hit the Make dropdown->3D Print and select meshmixer as my printer utility (Others will do the same) But to answer your question, yes. If you design your part with "Front" up and you want to change that to "Top", you will have to either move the part or the view cube. Hope this is useful. Best, Lars
Thanks on the version thing. How do you add the note or comment line? That would be really good to have. Having a way to add design intent notes would be nice, does that exist?
Hi Dana Patelzick Thank you for watching! Everytime you hit save and create a version, You get the option to add a version note. You can also click the comment area at the bottom of the screen and use that to add additional comments to the design. These notes will be available if you go to data panel in your browser. Best, Lars
I have a question - i can not use my mc-master carr, do i have to pay for access? I could not find any payment option. Everything i open and login into that and than use, it says authorization denied.
Hi Vinit Srivastava Thank you for watching! No, that should be totally free. Try to contact support help.autodesk.com/view/fusion360/ENU/?page=support I have no idea what the steps would be to resolve that. But it should work
Great to see you back and congratulations on the news. Enjoy the ride, it is incredible.

Hi Lars, I do want to rotate lets say a rectangle in sketch Mode, could you tell me how to do that! Really like your videos, keep on going!
