Lars thank you for the content. I don't have a school locally with a course on fusion and your videos have helped tremendously. Still a ton to learn but your videos are super helpful.

I am new to Fusion and new to CNC machining. I purchased a Bantam Bench top CNC machine and I'm waiting on delivery. I have been into 3D printing, but CAM seems to be a little more involved. I purchased the subscription for Fusion and it looks like that there are tons of bells and whistles to learn about. I appreciate you going through the steps on how to manage the software. It has been a real big help! Thanks!!

Glad to have you back on the case, Lars! A few months back I started learning Fusion, large part thanks to your earlier videos. I still find it mystifying more often than not, but I'm getting better and usually can get done what I want to get done.

In my opinion , f360 splits among roughing and finishing profile operations, because often, they have different tools and profile to work on.
    Good job, Lars!

You are a good bloke Lars and I have learned such a lot from you. Unfortunately the business model for Fusion 360 has painted me out of the picture. I can't justify 500 bucks every year. With the removal of 4th axis cam for hobby users I'm out. I have no hard feelings whatsoever. However I do not want to invest more of my time into a product that is certain to have it's user policies changed again.

engraving the program # into the soft jaws is a really cool idea !!!

Outstanding video. As a product designer it’s critical that we get analysis early in the program to avoid specific pitfalls. If a part design is allowed to develop just to find its infeasible at the end could cost significant in re design cost and loss of program timing. With the proper use of analysis tools that can be avoided.I know,to most, this seems like an obvious comment But you’d be surprised at how often failure occurs even at the most highly rated design companies.I have to deal with it All the time, especially when engineers give poor direction. These tools along with others like CAE are career saving tools to expertly use and understand

Lars could you please do a video on what bend lines to use when you are using a manual box/pan brake. Fusion is set up for press brakes and a lot of us use box and pan brakes. Thank you bro.

Lars, I can't believe your videos are not wife approved :)
BTW, great info about the accessibility feature. Does it work before you have set up the machining toolpaths?
And, is it available in the hobby version? Sad we have to wonder about that.

Thank You ,Lars ,i really appreciate your efforts .Now ,after investing a lot of my lifetime in Learning Fusion 360 ,because i thought it will be an Investment in my future (and waiting for the arrange/nesting Feature)it is gone before it was here and i stare on an obsolete "all you can eat "Paying System...It would be more advanced ,to pay only for what you need.

Great video as usual thank you so much Lars, It's good to have you back. I was hoping this version would fix the issue where you have to individually click every single edge when selecting your engraving tool path. When you make a sign with a lot of letters it's such a tedious task! I'd love to know if I'm missing something.

@@cadcamstuff Yes I have! That is how I would expect it to respond but if you try select the Geometry you want to engrave with that method (or any other method I've found) you still have to individually select every single item. Think of a sign with lots of words, this is the only problem that is really slowing down my workflow.

more horizontal machining tips .... patterns, multiple work offsets in different orientations, transposing offsets during rotation when the work offset is not about the centre of rotation, why tool change optimisation fall apart when patterns are nested. NC programs for horizontals ... machine simulation and verification .... go :)

  • @travisguilbeau8404

So when programming using fixtures you use a center point instead of giving each part their own work offset. Like G154 P1 and so on? I’m building my first fixture now and I’m struggling with which way would be the best way to program.
