I like how Peter and Norman are subtly mentioning their double lives in this moment. “Work was murder” a not so subtle reference to the people Goblin murdered “Beat an old lady with a stick” a reference to Spidey’s fight in the burning building where Goblin dressed as an old lady.
I love the fact that Peter is wearing the Goblin colors (Green and purple), Norman is wearing Spider-Mans colors (red and blue), and finally Harry is wearing both their colors (green and red) signifying the conflict between them, and Harry being caught in the middle. Pretty subtle and yet obvious film making. It's great.

Green Goblin did tell Spiderman on that fateful night at the rooftop, they could stay together and accomplish great things or drive everyone apart in their pointless fights. Of course Spiderman did the right thing, but he also suffered the consequences.

But you see that look on his face, as he can’t help but put everything together and come to the conclusion that Peter Parker is his enemy. He doesn’t want it to be that way, and he has a hard time coming to terms with it. This is one of the things that makes Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin one of the best conflicting villains. Great acting to go with great writing. God, I love this movie.
I don’t see the Green Goblin/Norman as being that sympathetic and sensitive. I view this as more of a suppression of anger and rage, and thinking about what to do next. Norman doesn’t dislike Peter, but the Goblin persona at this point has consumed most of him, making Norman much more ruthless.

2:07 probably the best scene in this whole film. The Normans impression is amazing and the way Norman realizing that the person who he was proud of and who considered him as his son is the person he was fighting. And the way he had to make difficult decision later on the film either kill his sons best friend in order to achieve everything he wants and become ruler or just leave normal life but constantly being psyched out since the liquid he drank made voices in his head. Great job scriptures one of my favorite scenes for sure

Norman is actually quite clever and his genius often goes missing in this particular scene. To the surprise of many fans, he hid a quick little jab at his adversaries by saying "enjoy the fruitcake" before he leaves, knowing full well that nobody enjoys fruitcake under any circumstances whatsoever anyways. As much as I like No Way home. The first 2 original Spiderman movies just hit on a whole new level. The writing is superb, the acting close to flawless and didn't need to rely on what it didn't have which was nostalgia like the most recent film. If I just randomly think of a scene from a movie you know they did something right

I agree she delivered the role really well but considering she is Peter's aunt i think she was a bit too old for that. It seems like she is his grandma rather than aunt. The newer and younger ones are of perfect age to be someone's aunt by the way

I always liked Norman's reluctance to really be evil despite the Goblin persona forcing evil on him. I always interpreted this scene as Norman excusing himself because he didn't want the Goblin to lunge at Parker and his leaving was Norman trying to get away before something bad happened. Something like that anyway.

Yeah, it was. I was 10 or 11 at the time I saw it and was completely blown away. My mom took me and my sister to see it again at least two or three more times. That's how much we all loved it. Movie theater ticket prices were A LOT cheaper back then too lol. But yeah, it was an incredible experience for a kid who grew up with the 90s FOX animated series and was more or less already obsessed with the character of Spider-Man before that point.

2:07 probably the best scene in this whole film. The Normans impression is amazing and the way Norman realizing that the person who he was proud of and who considered him as his son is the person he was fighting. And the way he had to make difficult decision later on the film either kill his sons best friend in order to achieve everything he wants and become ruler or just leave normal life but constantly being psyched out since the liquid he drank made voices in his head. Great job scriptures one of my favorite scenes for sure

As much as I like No Way home. The first 2 original Spiderman movies just hit on a whole new level. The writing is superb, the acting close to flawless and didn't need to rely on what it didn't have which was nostalgia like the most recent film. If I just randomly think of a scene from a movie you know they did something right
I agree. I feel like this movie feels more realistic and rough, and the newer series seems too reliant on the MCU and feels a bit TOO childish and happy go lucky. I always liked Norman's reluctance to really be evil despite the Goblin persona forcing evil on him. I always interpreted this scene as Norman excusing himself because he didn't want the Goblin to lunge at Parker and his leaving was Norman trying to get away before something bad happened. Amazing trilogy. The first movie was out of this world.
Yeah, it was. I was 10 or 11 at the time I saw it and was completely blown away. My mom took me and my sister to see it again at least two or three more times. That's how much we all loved it. Movie theater ticket prices were A LOT cheaper back then too lol. But yeah, it was an incredible experience for a kid who grew up with the 90s FOX animated series and was more or less already obsessed with the character of Spider-Man before that point.

As a kid watching these you don't realize just how well made and written these movies are. Easily the best spiderman movies to date.

Yeah i remember the first movie video game would showcase that a bit, mostly when shocker decide to run to the sewers with his minions and you get to 2 scenes where he jump to the ceiling very fast before shocker spots him and then when jumps into the hole to chase and you hear the wind where he jumps so powerful

Not really. His acting in these movies is pretty stale and awkward. Which is great for Peter, but not really for Spider-Man
@@adonis_lol That was the point. As an nerd, he was supposed to act like this, being awkward and stuff. Also, you just can't change your personality even after putting the Spidey suit. I mean, we are talking about the guy who thought 'human spider' is an good name.
