Based on Marvel Comics' superhero character, this is a story of Peter Parker who is a nerdy high-schooler. He was orphaned as a child, bullied by jocks, and can't confess his crush for his stunning neighborhood girl Mary Jane Watson. To say his life is "miserable" is an understatement. But one day while on an excursion to a laboratory a runaway radioactive spider bites him... and his life changes in a way no one could have imagined. Peter acquires a muscle-bound physique, clear vision, ability to cling to surfaces and crawl over walls, shooting webs from his wrist ... but the fun isn't going to last. An eccentric millionaire Norman Osborn administers a performance enhancing drug on himself and his maniacal alter ego Green Goblin emerges. Now Peter Parker has to become Spider-Man and take Green Goblin to the task... or else Goblin will kill him. They come face to face and the war begins in which only one of them will survive at the end.

Seeing the citizens helping Spider-Man shows that they care and support his heroics. That’s amazing

This movie was released a couple of months after the September 11th attacks, and they wanted to show a scene of unified New York fighting back.

That scene with New York cheering him on, helping him by distracting the goblin, that's what the new movies are missing. That mutual love between Spider-Man and New York. I hope MCU Spider-Man 4 leans into that a little more
I do love when the villains make heroes choose, it brings ethical conundrums that challenge a hero's morals.

At the beginning of the fight with the goblin he didn't even give peter a chance to react with grenade and beating the crap out of him and the tables turned peter did the exact same thing throwing him against a wall pulling his legs out yanking a wall down etc.
This final fight scene used to scared the hell out of me when I was a kid, but now I’ve gotten used to it😊

Just throwing this out there I'm pretty sure Sam Raimi had bigger plans for this franchise then what was given to us I think this series was going to have more than three movies and it was going to introduce new villains in each of the movies
Well Spiderman 3 was originally supposed to be just Sandman (and surprise surprise, his story is by far the best part of that movie).
@@Robert399 well I think originally Spider-Man 3 was going to focus on Sandman and Harry as the main villains meaning that Harry could have potentially become the Hobgoblin and I think Spider-Man 3 would mainly focus on Harry as the main villain in Sandman would be the secondary antagonist but those are just my thoughts

@@Robert399 if they did decide to make Spider-Man 4 after they made Spider-Man 3 I'm assuming that Spider-Man 4 would have focused on Hobgoblin so Spider-Man 4 would have been hobgoblins debut into the Sam Raimi universe but I also heard rumors that vulture was going to be in Spider-Man 4 as well but I think Spider-Man 4 would have focused on Hobgoblin but that's just my opinion
They'd been setting up Bruce Campbell as Mysterio. He's in all 3 movies, and it would have been revealed that he's been watching Spiderman the whole time
