people will find you when you start going out to meets more, you are one of 3 youtubers that keep up to date with ls builds and so far yours is the one I look forward to watching. Maybe work with editing, social media as insta gram and titles that click bait haha
That's a nice compliment, thank you. I appreciate the input. I am planning on going to meets and talking to people and posting people's cars (if they are cool with it) if I think they are nicely done and have a little bit of a story telling-like experience. I've been stuck building for a while now haha.
Mitchell's Mustache Rides honestly the only reason you’re not as popular as you are is that you don’t upload enough, yes I imagine the set backs and life will take a toll but that’s really it, compare it to your Ls1 is300 video that has over 100k, you were guaranteed a shot at RUclips fame since there were no detailed video on a ls swap at the time
Mitchell's Mustache Rides I’m gonna have some questions for you In the future if that’s fine haha I have to do this soon, plus you’re pretty close to me I pass by that strip In Ferris all the time!
Welcome to the world of fast nasty IS300s! Look forward to seeing more of the build coming together once it's wrapped up and you get some ironing done. Curious question, what made you go 6.0 swap with a turbo on the build versus staying with the 2J?
I've been in the cool IS300 for a bit hehe =) Heck this is the 2nd turbo kit I've built for this thing! Ahh, its mostly preference I think, but the v8 has a lot of torque. The least this engine makes is 400whp, whereas the 2j is like 200hp, so it just feels good "under the curve" and just cruising around. They are both expensive to make fast, and honestly I just wanted to have a v8 car, but I didn't want an American car, so this build made sense to me. I think I'm going to make a 2z/LS video pretty soon to get into it a bit.
@@TurboV8boi completely understand the appeal of the V8, no matter what Displacement Matters! Time under the curve is something hard to explain to many people, its not about how MUCH power you make its about how LONG you make that power!
Nice build!!! What brand fender flares do you have on the back? they look like they fit nice compared to others I've seen on is300. Nice TOOL sticker !
This car is old enough that it doesn't have Canbus, so I don't have to worry about that. The ac and abs work on their own, which is really nice for swap reasons. If its a 2001 the speed gauge runs off of the abs system so you don't even have to worry about that.
My Lexus GS300... just completed my swap... car running nice... no climate control working since we removed the oem computer and part of harness... wondeing if i can power my climate control just heat etc... none of my gauges work... might have go with a digital dash... im running FiTech Ultimate LS 750hp kit... thanks for replying and any info you my have... what you did for gauges?
@@virginiomaldonado2746 Grats on getting it running! For my climate control I had the Chevy ecu turn on and off the compressor, the rest I left alone. I did have to wire in and a GM pressure sensor to the chevy ecu so it knew when to turn the compressor on/off. For the gauges, on my car, speed comes from ABS, so that works. My fuel gauge works (sometimes it only reads in 1/4 increments, not sure why). The tach wire I cut and ran it to the chevy ecu. For the water temp gauge the stock gauge won't work anymore, so I use the holley dash that came with the ecu to monitor that. That's about it I guess. I don't remember paying too much attention to the stock gauges.
With my last turbo kit the wastegate dump ran right over the coils, so I needed to put them somewhere else (at least on one side). This new turbo kit didn't have that same configuration so I moved them back. They worked well up there though.
@@TurboV8boi thank you on that response and the time honestly I’ve been studying at this swap even do it’s easy the car it’s self with all this extra wiring and relays it’s annoying and I’ve seen like 2 other videos about the wiring with the og key do U have anything on that and I seen you moved the ecu box how was that ? Was it a pain 😅 I don’t need nothing but the electrics to come on like ac and heater and the key to start after that’s really gonna be a simple build just for a backroad weekend rip

Thank you. The rear is modified "ZG" fenders. They are for old 240z cars. They are the fronts that I put on the rear.
What wiring harness did you use and how did you get it to work with the stock lexus harness?
What exhaust housing is that on the S480? What size AR are u running?
Are you using the oem ecu to control climate control or anything related to CanBus like gauges etc?

Dam do it have AC to
Oh yes, its going to. I'm making sure of it =)
