    I been thinking about cutting out the spare tire part in the trunk and the sides just under trunk vents (mainly because of rust) but and mking it flat. But also been thinking that and setting-up a air damn and putting radiator and turbos back there

      Yeah I've thought about that... but the people I've asked seem to not like it as much because of I suppose backpressure. It would be really nice though. I see the drift guys do it. I'd probably come in with the air on the top of the trunk and have it exit through the bottom of the car. Or I could come in through the bottom and exit the back of the trunk lid. I'm not opposed to it haha!!

      Check out my newer videos, I built a whole new turbo kit and the car makes over 800whp now. For the trans I'm using a 4l80e, but you have to cut 4" out of each side of the trans tunnel. • @TurboV8boi
      @TurboV8boi  4 года назад +2

      I agree, the aftermarket support, and the power will be better with the LS. Its hard to say what the exact costs are, and it'll vary depending on which transmission you go with, but I'd say somewhere around $8k for the swap. I plan on doing a swap cost video soon with a spreadsheet too.

      @@5theshortone It had a T56 originally, but now it has a 4l80 in it. For the 4l80 you need to cut about 4" out of each side of the trans tunnel. Not super difficult to do if you do it like I did. I have some pictures on my Instagram: Turbo_LS_is300 . I'd consider a t56, 4l80e, the 370z trans, or that dual clutch BMW transmission. The 370z trans is a good option, the gearing is really short though, 5th is 1:1 whereas the T56 4th is 1:1

    Awesome! What made you go with a 4l80? How are you controlling it? What harness are you using? What’s your mph in your final drive? Why not go with a glide? At this point in the build, about how much money do you have into it?

    • @TurboV8boi

      I want to go fast at the drag strip. Stock ECU is controlling it. Stock truck wiring harness (well, I used a 2000 camaro engine harness, and I had a truck harness, so I depinned the trans portion of the truck harness and used that.
