      AND
      The module BLADE AL shown in the video only work for the compustar so you would have to change the module to IDATALINK ALCA in order for the remotes start function to work. And one more thing you would be have to program the remote start function on the viper system as well, if it's alarm and remote start you would have to program it, if it's pure remote start it should already be programmed but you can just ask and I can try to help the beat that I can

      You could use the Idatalink BLADE-AL like the one in the video or a Idatalink ALCA and they both will do your door locks, door trigger/ dome light , Factory alarm disarm and immobilizer. You would still have to connect your parking light, brake wire and standard 12 volt, starter , ignition, 2nd ignition (MUST be powered to avoid check engine light coming on and possible damage to automatic transmission) and accessory. Installation is fairly the same as shown in video only thing that changes would be the locations for horn and parking lights but that's in another video sorry !

    Hey bro I have a viper 3507 installed on my truck (03 Silverado single cab) that needed after market actuators for the door locks. I have since replaced the doors to have everything electric, like from the factory, but the wires the location I have to tap into. The light blue plug pin B5 and B10 for unlock and lock don’t have any wires running to it for my truck. Do you have any insight into were I should be taping into ? On another note I eventually wanna give it shot at installing this alarm on my truck, so thank you for the video 😎

    • @CalVlogss
      @CalVlogss  7 месяцев назад +1

      So your door locks are originally manual? In that case you wont find the wires that the diagram/information is giving because those wires are for vehicles that come equipped with electrical locks. So in this case you would have to send the green and blue wire coming from your aftermarket actuators, and then send through the door (boot) and then to your dash where your viper system is installed. Those two wires( blue and green) have to get connected to your viper system with relays so it can do the polarity in order for it to work with your viper system.

      @@CalVlogss hey thank you for responding, it had the after market actuators with the relays but I converted everything to be as original as possible, so it uses GM door locks, mirrors, windows, lights etc. I replaced the BCM, door harnesses, & door panels to match a normal original electric Silverado. I can order a normal GM key fob to program the locks but I’d prefer to keep using my viper remote instead of using one remote for door locks and the viper remote for setting the alarm.

    • @LuisDTR29
      @LuisDTR29 7 месяцев назад +1

      I removed the aftermarket actuators but I could always reinstall them but I feel that the normal GM actuators would be strained when I press the door switch and have it also move the aftermarket actuator if that makes sense.

    • @CalVlogss
      @CalVlogss  7 месяцев назад

      @@LuisDTR29 to be honest with you all I can tell you is if you want to add and install aftermarket actuators you have to add relays to it in order for it to work with the alarm system (viper system) then once hooked up you have to use the viper system to lock, unlock and remote start system if it's a remote starter and you won't have to use the factory key fob. The factory key fob you can only use for emergency if in case you loose or break the viper control

    • @CalVlogss

      This installation only works on Silverado's from 2003-2006 , for a 2002 the BLADE AL only does the immobilizer bypass for your remote starter , with that being said you would have to hook everything else manually (lock, unlock, door trigger, brake, etc.) .
      And on top of that , your locks give out positive power so you would have to hook up relays in order for your locks to work when they generally should be negative

      The AL Blade does the bypass and everything else you need for the other functions of the system( door lock, door unlock, OEM alarm disarm, etc.) so yes you require the module and beats having to connect them manually

      @@drewskidrankthebrewski4657 yes the comment that was said was for a 2002 , this video is for 2003-2006. The Module does all the functions and no other part or relays are required. Now the DM600 is used for the 2002 because the polarity is positive when it should be negative and in that case the module won't do your locks. There is another method which is the relays which I provided the installation guide so you could use either the DM600 or two relays but other than that from 2003-2006 all that is required to install is what is shown in the video

    looking at the schematic that was provided don’t see where the Data Cable(orange in your case) that connect to purple ob2 cable or the brake switch cable (light blue in your case) that connects to wire brake switch cable would be located on this module cm-2500 ?? What other functions would I hook up aside from basic 12v/ground/ignition/horn/parking lights/siren?
    Thanks!

    • @CalVlogss
      @CalVlogss  8 месяцев назад

      The orange (data wire) is with the plug that comes with the BLADE AL module and the brake wire is actually a light blue/white but the white stripe is so light you can't really see it so just make sure it's the right wire because the system also comes with a solid light blue and you don't want to mistake one with the other. That wire is located in the CN3 connector, if I'm not mistaken all compustar systems should have the diagram behind the brain of the system
      &
      No other wires are required to be hooked up because the module does those functions for you

    • @CalVlogss
      @CalVlogss  6 месяцев назад +1

      To make it easier to understand, if your key has a chip then you require a module in order for the system to remote start But NOTE that the module (depending on the make/model/year) helps out with other features for example: door locks, dome light/ door trigger, trunk release/ status , hood status, parking lights ( ON SOME CARS) , brake status, etc. if your kit didn't come with one then more than likely you don't require one and the kits should be able to do everything . (Don't really work with Kits so I can't help you out as much as I'd like to)

      @@CalVlogss Yeah I think I got it all figured out. Sux that they didn't include an installation manual which makes it harder than it should be. Apparently they only provide instructions and complete wiring info to "professional" dealers. I was finally able to find the installation manual online, purchased the cable to program it, and the wiring diagrams and wiring locations for my vehicle. It is an older 90s vehicle with no transponder, so it does not need the Blade at all.

    • @CalVlogss
      @CalVlogss  6 месяцев назад

      They don't send installation manual for it? If it's one of those T-harness kits then it should just be plug n play, all you need to do would be plug in the harness to factory harness and plug back into ignition switch, zip tie wires so nothing is hanging and then to program at the end. No need to cut or wire anything up as shown in the video but did your locks end up working? On some older Silverado's the door locks are positive (+) so you'll have to change the polarity with relays / extra other harness sold separately or did the kits make your locks work?

    Couple of questions mine came in with lights 12v with a fuse. You did the negative since yours didn’t have positive with fuse. So I just hook up positive? And my came with e-lock relay, but no wiring diagram. I didn’t see you install one. May not be needed as I think it’s an extra security measure. Just wanted to ask other than that I’m good to go.

    • @CalVlogss
      @CalVlogss  7 месяцев назад +1

      Fine questions you asked , sounds like you want to make sure it gets hooked up right. But I used the negative because it was easier due to the location of where it's at instead of having to run a wire to the under hood fuse box to use the positive fused parking lights. the fused green/white is parking light but it's positive output so again instead of me having to run a wire to the hood for the positive parking light , I used the negative parking light which is the same color wire just thinner and it's not fused just because it's located at the BCM along with your horn trigger and close to your standard 12v, starter, ign , etc.
      if you have the same Chevy Silverado from 2003-2006 just follow the video and you shouldn't have no problem with the installation, I try my best to make my videos as easy and simple when it comes to installation. & as far as the relays for the locks you discard that you don't need that. Compustar send those in case you need to convert the polarity of the door locks but your module will do your locks.

There is another way around it if you don't have a near car audio shop , but it would be a completely different module and you would require two keys for your car and you would have to leave one of the keys in the module in order for the remote start function to work but I don't recommend because you would be leaving a copy of your key in the module in the vehicle which is easy to be stolen. But yes there is another way around it. To be honest I would just go get the idatalink module programmed by a car audio store to avoid leaving a key in the car
