Z Power it's been 4 years for me now. I hope I do the same that you did man. The worst part is I know exactly what true freedom is because my brother is stupid good at singing! Tortures me everyday when I hear that mixed voice, reaching high notes with a full sound. But I guess you're right, I won't know true TRUE freedom until I can do it myself. Enjoy it my man, I hope I get it soon.
The demonstration at 2:55 is both one of the funniest things I have ever seen and the most enlightening. Thank you! I still can't do it, but thank you!!
Wooooow. It's like a light switch that turned on for me at the end of the video, and I could almost instantly start doing smooth chest-to-falsetto transitions when I realized what the throat should feel like. 10/10.
Wow he is so knowledgeable, what an incredible vocal coach! Thank you so much for these videos, I've been searching for a while for online vocal lessons that I actually understand and can learn from and I finally found them. He'll definitely be my number 1 recommendation to others interested in learning. All the credits to you, Justin! Thanks again :)

The thing that I LOVE with you, is your incredible sound knowledge of course, but on top of that, the fact that a french boy who is 15 years old can understand you very easily. Thank You!!

Hi Justin, ive been singing for years, and i always had problems with singing high and even singing the middle notes, but then i found your channel and it made a world of difference to me....thanks a lot, you've changed my life BIG THANKS FROM BRAZIL !
Hello Sir Justin! I just want to say a big THANK YOU! i just found my mixed voice today, after tonnes of research on it, and hours of watching other vocal coaches teaching about this topic, this video is simply what I needed. When other vocal teachers, example a mixed voice, it always sounds like a head voice. Due to this misconception I kept pulling my chest voice to reach higher notes. I just wanna thank you so much Justin because you explained that there is an infinite amount of mixes, and either head voice or chest voice is more dominant. Thank you again sir, I will mention you when I become famous.
What the hell. So this was it? It was elusive for me at some parts but after knowing that compression does the trick I can automatically hit it from nowhere? Glad to know this one. Great teaching! Thank you!!
Wow, this "bub bub bub bub" stuff fixed my mixed voice almost overnight! I was able to hit some notes that I previously had to falsetto. Thank you so much for your amazing videos Justin!!!
8:40-10:45 That is a very good tools for practicing mixed voice. I think I will come here again and again to that part to practice mixed voice. Thank you.
Thank you so much for this. I have been taking singing lessons, and I can sing quite high, but then it was either strained or in falsetto. Now that you explained to me how this works (which no one ever did before), my singing works so much better. Now that I know how, it worked in a day! :D Thank you so much!
All of these vids but specifically smoothing the head/chest mix are super helpful for *ahem* transitioning your speaking voice as well... Thanks Justin you're an awesome teacher and ADORBS to boot
Justin your videos are fantastic, I can't thank you enough for giving such great advice. You have a wonderful way of teaching! You are making a difference, do not stop making these videos!
I discovered these lessons only a few days ago sometime after having a few invaluable lessons with a qualified professional vocal coach (very expensive) and I have to say that Justin is spot on with his lessons. There are techniques and explanations that I had been taught before and there are new ones in there for me too. They are really building on what I already had. Before any lesson I thought that I could only sing up to the break in my register where I thought I could only do falsetto above that (I struggled, strained even before my vocal break and was envious of so many singers), how wrong was I! The mix is legend and this exercise alone easily works your vocal range way up there easily. I vouch for Justin, really big thank you!
+Steve Killingback Thank you so much for these kinds words and your support of Justin and VLTTW! We are wishing you all the best as you continue on your vocal journey! :)
Dear justin i had trouble these last months, my progression seemed to stop or stagnate, i mean even with all the exercises i do everyday, my biceps still can't grow please can you help me? yours are so big thank you
this may get lost in the sea of comments but I've never had an online vocal lesson that makes me wanna stay. I used to feel frustrated when I could not do it right and now because of you, I'm eager to learn and I actually feel bad when the lesson is ending. I truly appreciate the way on how you engage with your audience and students. Thank you so much! Not only am I learning a lot, I'm also enjoying myself especially on exploring my voice. One request: can you add more than one practice exercises? I truly enjoy the exercises but I would wish that there was more than one. Only of you don't mind!
Wow! We're so glad to hear this, Cinna! Some videos have many exercises but most only have one or two. :) For TONS of exercises you can get our Vocal Course at VoiceLessonsToTheWorld.com. Or, you can even create your own from the info we have in the videos! Hope this helps, keep up the awesome work Cinna :) -NYVC
Perfect. You described the exact sensation of "having no throat" that the great opera singers talk about. Freedom all the way from the chords to the nasal pharynx with no encumbrences. Like pinching a balloon on both ends with free air in between. This air in the head with compression is often described as inhaling or drinking the voice.
So far, you are the best vocal to explain mixed voice. I realized that i have been doing it already but i still have to work in it more because i still have a very rough transision depending on the range of the song. I really wanted to master my mix because i dont want to strain myself when doing gigs. Keep it up! You are helping a lot of people.
Very useful exercise! The explanation is very good and It took away my doubts about the mix voice. Thank you for your kindness, generosity and passion that you show with your lessons.
Soo helpful I instantly was able to sing a song correctly. I used to go to falsetto and i didnt know what I was doing wrong now I use the mix and it sounds perfect
