I live an hour or so south of STL and grew up eating Imo's. I eat the shit like twice a month at least. If you haven't had it, it's worth a shot. Dave is just butt hurt about the Stanley Cup lol.
Non-STL natives, especially east-coasters, just hate on it because it's not "mootz". It's cheese. Cheese is delicious.

Came here for a pizza review, left buying a bidet.
So glad he's pushing this. I've been trying to talk friends into it for years ever since I got one on amazon years ago. It's night and day how much cleaner it gets you and only needing 1/10th the amount of TP to basically dry off instead of .. y'know. It's totally worth it. It doesn't look like this product has a hot and cold option but only cold. The one I bought has both and I prefer hot, but either works and is way better than toilet paper only.

my family is from Russia, as is my wife, and we love Imo's Pizza.
Born and raised in MO yes I love it and now living in TX for the last 20 years I miss it and now will have to order it online.
When I was a kid we moved from Chicago to St. Louis. Everyone told us to try Imos. When my mom tried it she literally cried and said “this is what we have to eat for pizza now?”
Similar only we had people send us pizzas from home. Shit is so gross.
There's plenty of great pizza joints around St. Louis! I hit up Imo's whenever I'm in the area because I'm a sick fuck and I love it. It's not the only place that sells pizza out there, though. I miss those provel bites so much, but I don't want to bring over any Chicago-style covid-19.
STL LCB well it’s the vast majority of it. It’s really hard to find real pizza in St. Louis.
I lived in St Louis for 15 months, coming from NY. Dave is spot on about Imos. St. Louis people take a lot of pride in everything St. Louis. That’s how they are, it’s a cultural thing. But imos isn’t close to the best pizza in stl. Union Loafers has some of the best pizza I’ve had. Even comparing to a lot of the spots in NY. If you’re in stl give it a try.

St. Louis pizza is very different from your regular pizza, and almost NOBODY likes it at first. It grows on you. The first time I had it I wanted to ask for my money back and go to Dominos. Now I have it packed in dry ice and shipped to me in Las Vegas, 10 at a time.
I hated it growing up. Hated the cheese. I tried it once again when I was like 30, now I eat it every week. I had no nostalgia for it, but one day I decided it was the best shit I’ve ever had

I didn’t care for Imo’s when I was in St Louis few years ago, but I brought some provel cheese home and put it on a pizza shell from a local bakery - I didn’t burn it to the point where it was the consistency of boot leather and it was actually really good.
You're right about that, Provel has a point where it dries out pretty bad... you can tell by looking looking at the one in the video he let it go too long.

You HAVE to buy Imo's Provel shredded cheese at the grocery store if you can. It makes it SO much better.

Worked at Imo's for a decade back in the day. It's not the best STL pizza there is, but provel is provel. Grew up on it, love the shit. The location I worked in was the busiest of the chain (at the time - 80ish stores). We went through 1600lb of provel a week.

The problem with Provel on pizza is that 2/3 cheeses in it don't belong on pizza. Mix of Cheddar, Swiss and Provolone. Imo's isn't an acquired taste. It's a love it or hate it even for locals. I for one am not a big fan and it has everything to do if you like Provel or not.
And forever will Imo's be immortalized with rich people power washing their cinnamon holes

Nope white American cheese actually tastes like and has the consistency of a normal cheese (though it's a bid on the soft side). In my opinion, provel is closer to Velveeta, but not quite as plasticy. It's sorta like solidified cheese whiz. Not good. You can find it in grocery stores in Missouri if you ever wanna try it.

I have to agree. I like a fresh Imo's pizza, but these frozen pizzas taste like every other frozen pizza I've had, if not a little lower. Not worth the higher price tag when I can get a frozen pizza at Aldi I will like more, for $2.
