I’ve met Dave back in 2019. Barstool used our restaurant as a headquarters for the superbowl. He’s actually a nice guy. He was cordial to everyone on our staff.

I've done cocaine when I was in Colombia, and my appetite was not suppressed. It was also recommended to me that because of the purity to only do small lines. Apparently, appetite suppression comes from what they cut it with.

The shop owner made 400k a few years back selling his liquor license. At the town meeting where the transfer was approved he was also trying to get one of the new free liquor licenses being given out. He got shut down by the city and plainly told how bad of a look it was. Douche through and through.

How the hell do you sell a liquor license? I've never heard of a license of any kind being treated like a commodity. Does MA have a limited amount of liquor licenses?
I’m not sure about other states, but I know in PA & NJ, you can selling a liquor license. Liquor licenses (i.e. an establishment that can legally server all types of liquors) are really expensive. This is why you see places like BYOBs. It all varies from state to state but after read the OP’s comment, I’d imagine it’s fairly common. Hope this helps!
This is not uncommon in government and it is called corruption.
Every town/city has a limit to how many businesses legally sell liquor. They all have a liquor license. A business can sell their license to another business for $$$$. That’s why a business with a liquor license is worth a lot more than one without the license

This was an honest New England fight if I've ever seen one.
The Owner had a chance to speak to you about his product, but he chose to be rude. In doing so he lost a chance to get positive feedback that would have without question benefited his Store.
He heard 6.4 through that old glass shop front and he just couldnt handle the bad review.
He needs to know in 2023 everyone reviews your business.
He got good google score was good on 1 bite app then dave got a floppy mess and wants to attack the guy who bought it rather than the poor pizza he sold.

It’s in One’s best interest to not be upset at the reality of this social media culture, when in this kind of situation (to which, there are plenty of things detrimental to society, regarding social media. I don’t think food reviews are one of ‘em).
If that pizza owner had any sense of effective leadership, within his business - he could have said something along the lines of “Well, I do not agree, with your review of my pizza. However, what kind of changes would you consider making, Dave? Where do you think this pizza falls short?”
It doesn’t hurt to be open to the perspective of others.
And if the owner chose to go the less egoic and defensive route - he could have played Dave and his audience like a gosh darned fiddle, and had all of this turn out in his and his business’s favor.
Respect is going to go so much further.

Until you try the pizza itself, you shouldn't judge it. Dave likes 1-2 types of pizzas, and this place wasn't one of those types. Place is highly rated, and notice no one nearby would agree the pizza was bad.

Yes I agree with you 100% because the One Bite app had an 8 for a rating with 50 reviews so he should've been happy to see Dave but he knew his pizza was crap with the cheese and sauce dripping off of it all sloppy and he's heavy handed with parmesan so he just knew when one of his employees told him Dave was outside that he was going to get a terrible score. It's his own fault. Make good pizza and you have nothing to worry about.

Dave, never wish any harm on another person...but man I feel the same!!! I wish he goes out of business because he doesn't know how to conduct himself as an owner. After watching your review, I immediately wrote a review to their site. Respect goes a long way.
Dave has rated some of my favorite pizza places. Didn't always agree with the rating but he was always reasonable and gave his no bullshit opinion. Luckily none of the owners ever confronted him.

I was wondering how he could only eat a couple of bites a review - Adderall. Everything this guy does is smart. Any publicity is good publicity these days - people will go there unfortunately, just to try the bad pizza and meet this guy. I personally loved the tucked in tight t-shirt look and the Kramer-esque personality. Great interview to both of you.
