To be fair, most guests don't claim to be pizza or food experts or connoisseurs. Fieri obviously is a professional chef and loves food, so his analysis is going to be more accurate than most.

But very true. He could have done a joke 10/10 (even Dave did this with his own brand of frozen pizza) but he actually critiqued his cooks and staff. Yet despite how bad it sounds that score is actually really high. Little wet, cooked perfect, lacking salt. ~8.something. Fix those things and I'd be a 9.5. Nothing really changed about the foods identity, just how it's made.

This video is essentially revenge for every time Dave has talked down to an intern.
If you think about, Guy has been doing this for years, long before Dave started doing it. Except that he does a wide variety of foods, not just pizza, and he never gives any place a bad review so that he is courteous to the restaurant owner. But you got to think that he has been mentally reviewing every place he's been to. And that experience shows here.

"FEE EDDIE'' is hilarious. I have watched a lot of DDD over the years and one of the best was a visit to a local diner in Indiana (My home state). The owner and his co-owner wife were making various styles of burgers, one of which he said his wife hated. Looked great, until he added a generous portion of peanut butter to the bun. Guy took one bite, turned away and said " I want my Momma" Classic TV !

Dave is honestly one of the most confident people I've ever seen in my life. And here he is, turned into a little kid. I guess Guy Fee-Ettey is just that imposing (he's also a really confident man).

I actually agree with Guy when he said that from 3.5-7.0 should be considered good. Because right now all Dave is doing is giving good pizza a score in 7’s, giving great pizza a score in the 8’s and giving the best pizza a score in the 9’s. But there’s not much to differentiate between the pizzas in the 7’s and 8’s. He needs to widen the range.
It doesn't make any sense to rate 'good' pizza a 4/10. A 4/10 rating for anything means it stinks.

So I used to watch Guy's diners drive ins and dives for the Camaro (I own a 69' Mustang Fastback) so don't hate I'm just a car guy. Then I stopped becuase this guy goes to every restaurant and says "ohh wow" essentially giving it a 9 to 10 at every stop. It just bothered me. Then, on a whim, I went to his restaurant in Kentucky and it blew me away. Everything I, and the party of 10 I was with, ate there was above and beyond good. Every, freaking, thing, was fantastic. And I am not one to say $hit like that so coming from me thats a supreme complement. From the outside it looks like a chain restaurant but from the staff to the food it was an outstanding experience. As I agree with Bourdain, this guy is a duche but credit where credit is due: he's a car guy (or at least appears that way on his show) and his restaurant is killer.
He's absolutely not a douche by any stretch, whatsoever.
