Zoinks! Two years after a clash of egos forced Mystery Inc. to close its doors, Scooby-Doo and his clever crime-solving cohorts Fred (Freddie Prinze Jr.), Daphne (Sarah Michelle Gellar), Shaggy (Matthew Lillard) and Velma (Linda Cardellini) are individually summoned to Spooky Island to investigate a series of paranormal incidents at the ultra-hip Spring Break hot spot.

This live action might be cheesy and flawed with that twist villain and bad CGI, BUT it was perfectly cast. Everyone was a spot on reflection of the characters with of course, Matthew being the stand out. He was so good, he became the voice for Shaggy after the og actor passed. That is a high compliment and to this day, I love the films for him alone.

Both the Scooby-Doo movies are special to me for two reasons. I grew up with it, and the guy who drew the monsters for both films lived across the street from me. His name is Brom and he's a fantastic artist and writer. I would encourage anyone to read his dark, twisted, and brilliant Peter Pan spin, The Child Thief.

This movie and its sequel were some of my most favorite films as a kid, after growing up with the different eras of the cartoons on Boomerang
even 22 years later it's still amazing plus Matthew lillard is the best

Scrappy doo is Scooby doo nephew he’s in the 1970s cartoons. He’s not afraid of monsters or ghost. Look him up on google you’ll see. In the cartoon I think he’s a puppy. He idols Scooby
These two movies are two of my favorites from when I was a kid. Mystery Inc. was so perfectly cast. Especially my two favorite human characters: Matthew Lillard as Shaggy and Linda Cardellini as Velma. Also, Scrappy is canonically Scooby's nephew.
Having Scrappy Doo as the villain was a great twist.
As a kid who grew up with Scooby and hated the addition of Scrappy, I was so happy to see Scrappy finally get what he deserved! :D

It's funny after Scooby Doo got big in the 70s there was a ton of copycat cartoons where they had a team of kids solving mysteries with one animal character, a smart one, a tough one, a hot one, etc.
One of the greatest live action editions of all time. I remember watching this for the first time as a kid, I was obsessed with the original scooby doo cartoon and every version after, and this remains one of my favourite versions ever.
I love this movie. Matthew Lillard was born to play Shaggy. You should watch Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed. It's my favorite out of the two and it's just as good as the first.
This movie was so incredible and I really enjoyed it.But I think the sequel is twice as good.

I didn’t like this movie much as a kid but as an adult it’s a fun popcorn flick. You should definitely watch Scooby Doo on Zombie Island and the Witch’s Ghost one day as they’re the two best animated(or otherwise) Scooby Doo movies. Cyber Chase is also pretty good, but those two are great especially Zombie Island.

I love this movie and the sequel so much and will always love them. Ive loved the cartoon ever since I can remember, and I was 5 when this came out. I can still vividly remember seeing it in theaters with my grandma. And all these years later Scooby and the gang are still there when I need them, ready to transport me back to a time free of care when the world only extended to the end of my parents lawn.
When I was a kid I had Scooby costume for 3 Halloween's in a row. Now that I'm older I'm just Shaggy lol

Plus, there were different theories about scrappy too like in the series like how he was supposed to be Scooby Doo‘s cousin, and stuff like that but those were just different theories that Matt Pat came up with I think either that or I just remember hearing about that from someone else because of like different Scooby Doo theories
I believe the movie actually started off Rated R but they toned it down a lot so it could be family friendly. There was also kind of a love triangle with Daphne, Velma, and Fred where Daphne and Velma had a thing together

Really hoping you react to the sequel Scooby-Doo 2 now. Most people say it's not as good, but I think it's on the same level as this one.
Idk if its being an adult or not (i was 8 in 2002 when i watched this) but i did watch scooby doo as a kid and was familiar with Scrappy. To me at the time it was just a goofy cameo. I didnt notice til years later the scratching thing.
But yeah as a reactor that is paying more attention than an average watcher without previous knowledge it does seem pretty obvious lol
you should definitely check out Scooby Doo mystery incorporated, it's an animated series that had only 52 episodes over two seasons from the 2010s. another movie you should totally see is Scooby Doo on zombie Island.

If you want to see a darker Scooby Doo version with real monsters, definitely react to the late 90's movies, specially Scooby Doo on Zombie Island (1998)

It's honestly hilarious in a sad/pathetic way that Daphne, who's billed in the movie as the damsel in distress, is played by freaking Buffy the Vampire Slayer! And for an actual supernatural mystery, who better to bring on than Buffy? (Other than Sam and Dean Winchester, maybe, but Supernatural actually did a crossover episode with the Scooby-verse.) But Buffy and her friends in the OG show were lovingly referred to as the Scooby Gang.
Scooby doo is the only tv series to be on television consistently for 50 years. It’s definitely not before your time lol. I’m 28 and it’s not before my time.

Im guessing since you said you used to skateboard you’ve seen Grind, but if you havent you should, half the guys from Jacka$$ make appearances, including Wee Man, its a skateboarding roadtrip comedy, its not very well known so it probably wont win any polls, i would just break protocol and watch it, wish people would react to it.

You gotta watch like the second movie that came out and you have to watch the live action Scooby Doo movie 2+ I know that there were a couple other good movies or other good Scooby Doo movies other than Scooby Doo camp scare and the Mexico one and I haven’t seen that one forever a lot of the other Scooby Doo movies but only some of them, and I just like helping give more ideas in case you want to take some of my other suggestions too other than Ozzie that’s a good movie and I know that piglets big movie was another good one along with the search for Christopher Robin as well and also in the many adventures of winnie and tigger tooo other than Pooh’s Hefel lamp movie movie as well
PS I just like helping so in case, my movies, like when by like default as well plus, I also just like helping out with the comments to come up with like other movies too but I know the live action paw patrol movies are good too well they were technically supposed to be live action along with the Christopher Robin movie, but that’s why they should make like part two to these movies and I know that we were supposed to get a kingdom of hearts two years ago and it’s 2024 but maybe they’re just slow with that movie but that’s OK if a lot of people forgot about it as well
