The villian is a mafia boss
"Start with the knuckles" means you start an intimidation session with the brass knuckles.
"The last thing you do is the cement shoes" means covering a person's feet in concrete then throwing them into a river or lake.

Another childhood favorite of mine. I remember learning that Oliver and Company was released the same year as The Land Before Time, which was more popular in the long run. Even so, this Disney film is fun with its characters, charming story, and great music that gets me groovin.’

I’m allergic to cats. But there are a few that I’m not allergic to. We were dogs only people for a long time. I never expected to even become a cat person. But that quickly changed.
We brought a couple kittens in about a year or two ago. We planned to keep them only for the winter. But our family grew attached. And we named them. Their names are Jinx and Oliver.
Our Oliver is a black and white tuxedo. He was named after the orange tabby from “Oliver and Company”. He was given that name because he was curious, cute and adventurous. No other name could possibly suit him in my honest opinion.

Directed by Leonard Nimoy, this heartfelt comedy stars a young Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg, and Ted Danson. As a parent yourself, you'll love the hi-jinks of three bachelors thrust into parenthood when a mysterious baby appears on their doorstep.

This is one of the most star-studded Disney movies before the Renaissance. Billy Joel plays Dodger, Bette Midler plays Georgette, Dom DeLuise plays Fagan, Cheech Marin plays Tito, and Ruth Pointer from the pointer sings for Rita. Add to that Huey Lewis singing the opening song, and you are absolutely PACKED, STACKED, AND ALL THAT with 80s icons. I love this movie for that and its awesome 80s-style hit songs

Interesting thing about this movie. I was born in 86, and when I was a kid in the early 90s, we had a Disney VHS (I think Cinderella?) That had a preview for this, and it looked really good, but it never came out. I found out in 96, that it was released in theatres in 88, but for some reason never came out on video, and so they re-released it in theatres before putting it on video.

But I also feel like the plot and the message are a little half-baked, and Oliver just doesn't get enough screen time to really feel like the main character - he becomes more of a plot device than a character in the second half.
