He looks so guilty throughout this whole closing. His face says it all.
He Sure does. Pure Evil.👿
This prosecutor was phenomenal in making it crystal clear that Alex was the murderer of Maggie and Paul without a shadow of a doubt....
Yes that prosecutor was phenomenal 💯💯💯💯
If only the jury wasn't tainted by Becky to sell her book.
Chief Prosecutor Waters really tied up the case convincingly and clearly. Brilliant closing argument.
This lawyer is really good. He laid out all the facts without skipping a beat. He said everything that needed to be said. He was the voice for Maggie and Paul. Good job!
I AGREE WITH EVERY WORD YOU SAID. 5/20/23
It's amazing how easily one's cell phone hangs them in a criminal case. Murdaugh was a prosecutor, you'd think he would have had a wee bit more forethought. But then again he had been skating along with impunity for so long, that he didn't bother tying every loose end. His sheer arrogance is staggering.
He didn't expect to ever be questioned, he was so use to not being questioned

Why did the prosecution have to lie to the Grand Jury then?

While he’s sitting in jail for the rest of his life he will still be thinking he’s smarter than everyone else
Extremely sad, that people will annihilate their family before admitting their lies.
He tried to get Buster to go out there to hunt and he said oh heck no
He never admitted anything. He admitted when he was outed. Big diff!

You think he wanted to kill Buster, too?
Why do you think Buster refused when Alex asked him to go hunting?
It's a shame people have children at all, really. How selfish it is to force people to suffer and die for your own happiness.
The way that AM is looking at the Chief prosecutor during his closing argument tells all. That’s the last face Paul and Maggie ever saw. 😢
So cold, calculated and evil. My heart breaks for what they endured.
Wasn’t Paul responsible for killing that young lady Mallory?
@@randaelaine7176 each of the boys are suspected of murder
Creepy, challenging, furious.
Tina Reed Prosecutor Waters said that when Alec would see him ,Alec would always give him a hard mean cold stare!!
You look at the complete lack of empathy from AM sitting pulling faces...did Paul scream out as his father killed him? What did poor Maggie say? This is an absolutely shocking crime.
He looks to be enjoying himself tbh with that smirk on his face throughout the whole thing.

It’s impressive how he remembers everything he has to say for hours on end. 👏
Phenomenally impressive Creighton Waters! Such a complex case!
He was using notes, but still impressive how he put together the closing argument.

When he said paw paw at sentencing I wanted to slap him. Most disrespectful thing I have ever heard. The judge says pauuulll murdaugh.
Without a doubt, Waters delivered a closing argument that was methodical. It was the knockout blow in an exhaustive trial of a man who many had there minds made up about even before the trial began. Hats off to Waters, argument was enthralling from start to finish.
He had a lot of information in there!
Technology kicked his a**!
What a crazy case. Thank God for Paul's snap chat or else he may have gotten away with it. It's like him identifying his killer from the grave. Justice served.
Thank God Bubba caught the chicken at the precise moment he did. Thank God the shells at the farm target range were there to compare to the shells found at the scene to know family guns were used.
GOD SEES IT ALL FOLKS. MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT. RIP PAUL AND MAGGIE.
What’s done in the dark always comes to the light .
Great job by Waters, Meadors, and the whole team. Passion, detail, and extreme professionalism. Amazing to watch justice at work.
I think Alex grabbed Paul's phone immediately after killing them so that he could delete the tree sapling video because that caused a problem with his missing (blood splattered) clothes and shoes. He probably tried typing in Paul's birth date but Paul was more careful than that. He probably tried using Paul's dead fingertips to open the phone. But he couldn't get the angle right and was starting to panic as he had such a tight timeline to achieve an alibi and get rid of the clothes and gun. So immediately in the cop car after the shooting he's babbling away about trying to do stuff on Paul's phone (explain why there was blood on it when it was in Paul's pocket at the time of shooting). That was a massive red flag. Who starts touching their son's phone when their son's brains have been blown out? Then there was the call to the police where he didn't realise it was being recorded as it was ringing and he was silent and calm and then switched on the fake hysteria the minute the police answered the phone. There were the self admissions 'i did him so bad' telling the police me made a mess of shooting his son. And on the stand he said that while down at the kennels he was 'getting ready to do what I really didn't want to do'. There was other stuff but that's just for starters.
When that audio was slowed down I heard clear as day "they did him so bad". Having said that he definitely murdered his family or paid someone to do it. Either way he's guilty
I think he tried to flip him over to unlock his phone with face recognition
@@miranda7024 good point!!
also says I would never intentionally kill them. that just sounds wrong.
@@dekamami yeah he always seemed to qualify it by saying things like 'i wouldn't hurt them...under any circumstances '...

Lol and once he started he just kept going , likely because it was time for question #2?
And of course he always got a question to answer short style but again he failed.
I really want to know why this senator kinda threw him to the dogs aka being a prison Bword
A boyfriend of mine was stabbed repeatedly. That was 35 yrs ago. I can remember where I was sitting, give a pretty good time frame, where he was standing, the exact words the girl said to him, the exact words and movements of myself. I can remember after running to get help grabbing the bloody knife from her hand. I remember the feel of his blood as I helped him to the medical centre next to the night club we both worked out. I remember what I told the Dr what the Dr said to me. I can even tell you the joke I made when he asked me in the back of the ambulance if his dace was still pretty. I remember every thing. How does he not remember what his and Maggie's last words were. How long he slept for, what they talked about during dinner, what happened to his shoes & shirt he was wearing before he went to hos mothers. He forgot to many important details. But could remember things to help his story full of lies.
My friend didn't die we were very lucky a medical centre was so close. RIP Bernie never forget ya darl

Well done guys, well done 👏So glad that justice was served! And how amazing that the jury was SO fast. It leaves no room for doubt either. Before this closing, I was really afraid that it would be hung jury, but after hearing this I was sure it's gonna be guilty. Waters really nailed it. He explained everything from start to finish in a logical and clear way, plugging all the gaps that the defense had tried to create to create uncertainty. Waters was credible and he also proved what he said. Absolutely great work! Yes, and the keywords human nature, common sense, etc. were really, really important. It was important to emphasize to people that they should think. Think about what you know about humanity and life, what makes sense and what doesn't. It was also important that they used the term family annihilator for Alex a little earlier. That's exactly what he is and people understand and believe this case better when the prosecutor referred to that. Many have wondered about the motive etc. and hesitated because of that, but when the prosecutor used this term, the matter became clear, because this is exactly how family annihilators i.e. family murderers work.

Why does Paul come outward from door instead of hiding inside? Because he prob knows it was his father that did it to confront. Otherwise he would of hid down or tried to shut the door.
Good point. ☝🏼

What a frightening realization for Paul at that moment
Right. I'm sure Paul was aware his dad was still there and was trying to figure out what happened that he ended up shot. Maybe he was going to ask his dad what he was doing and tell him that he shot him in the process. That would make logical sense. Then Alex realized it wasn't a fatal enough shot and shot him again, to make sure finished what he intended in the first place.
