Great lesson. As a beginner who's struggling with small hands this lesson really helps since the song books have bar chords I can't handle. Your lesson is very easy to follow so thank you.
It helps alot if you tune your guitar a half step down. There will be less tension on the strings so it will be more comfortable to make chords. Especially if you are a beginner…

This is very helpful. Thanks very much. One thing I've noticed that you can do, on the second C on the verses momentarily take the pinky off the top string and let the E note (well actually the G note as it's capo 3) ring out. It matches with the vocal, when he sings 'uncertainty'.

Marty, you're the best. If anything, the capo. I know its necessary i guess to follow the a truthful rendition. I've been playing this song for many years and never used capo. Everybody sang along. Love your lessons. Capos...can we ever do without them. (makes it easier for the piano player)
Donovan used a schubb capo not necceassary just to meet the singers pitch its a teen level song very easy lacks explanation indeed your right .hes out as the level you see and happy .go fuether find top guys in folk clubs mate . Cal reason folk blues legend.

Shoutout to people who are having a harder time than they thought hammering on with the middle finger because the ring finger is muting your string. Haven’t experienced frustration like this in a good long time. You know how you get to Carnegie Hall, right?
