The beauty of guitar is that no matter how much you think you know, someone can just take 10 minutes out of their day to giggle and say "here, take a couple stabs at this and erase the last 5 years of trying to learn how to solo and turnaround with ease." You have a real gift, Tony. Thank you for sharing it.
You are absolutely right. Playing blues on the guitar, the simple good old blues principles always work: 12 bar Blues, call and response and turnaround.
Most Guitar teachers don’t want you to know this stuff until you’ve spent a fortune. 😂
It hasnt even been a year for me yet
What they ^ said. Thank you Tony. Amazing
At campfires i play country roads, row your boat, proud mary, fast car...stuff like this.
Can't forget wagon wheel :D
Right? Blues never felt like campfire vibes
@@denialz1460
Oh, it does.
11:30 If you want to hear the results
Ty, I don't play the guitar but I love the improvised playing sounds. If I ever learn how to play an instrument, that would be the most important thing for me to learn.
Edit: I dont know why I'm telling a complete stranger this, but I'll just keep it
@@ditoo2002 I bought a guitar with the intention of learning it. Life got too busy. I’m there with ya. I wanna give it a go again here in the near future when I have more time and energy to dedicate to it
Despite watching this one in detail from start and rewinding a bunch, I liked your comment on principle because timestamp commenters are the best type of people. Never stop being your same helpful self, good sir.
Thank you for this comment. Allowed me to completely skip wasting my time watching this useless video.
So many good things in this lesson. Really like your style and how you share Do-Able stuff! TY

Amazing, start from extremely simple then slowly it gets more and more complicated and beautiful. Genius! Thanks for sharing. Cheers from Indonesia.
Much love, great lesson 👍
This is brilliant and so well and easily explained many thanks Tony from Blackpool UK 👍
Love it! Can't wait to learn it! Just awesome!
Amazing Video! Just what I needed. Thank You!
Thank you. Great lesson
Thank you, this is fun. Have a wonderful day.
Glad to find your channel!🎉
I LOVE THIS!

I love it. Thank you.
Love it my friend!🤘🤙
T hats so sweet and easy. Thanks
Very useful, thank you!
This was such a fun tune to learn - thanks!
great and simple, thank you
Thank you brotha
EXCELLENT VIDEO
The Blues is a great way to start playing licks and getting naughty it. I learnt something similar but also completely different and the beauty of 12 bar blues is that I can play my thing over what you just played and it would sound great.
Good lesson, i learned blues just by getting too stone in my 20's, i'm 45 not even sure i can play this still, blues is a simple or complex as you like to make it, nice riffs, a lesson on blue grass style would be really handy for me
A video so good I had to save it in my watch later so I can always come back and rewatch it this is how you teach 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Awesome! Thank you for watching! 😀
Cant imagine being able to put that together after a night out 🍻
This was dope
I just love the blues and you are an amazing teacher.
Thank you so much! It means a lot to hear that you're enjoying the lessons and connecting with the blues. Keep up the great work! Thanks for watching :)
Amazing definitely following along!!! Like super excited to try this
Cool! Thank you! Hope you enjoy it, my friend!
12 years of English at school and 9 semesters of Anglistics at university cannot prepare for Scotts😂.
Thanks for the video❤
“Scots” 😜 sorry couldn’t help myself. You are very welcome my friend 🤘
@@GuitarME hahaha thanks mate. Wish you all the best!
Tryin to pick this thing up again. I used to know alot of this. Thanks, I gave you a sub.
Wow, thanks man! I'm glad to hear that you're getting back into it. Keep up the great work! 😀🎸
I was struggling cleanly hitting the single E on the 5th fret after the bass line. Then I realised I could just pluck the open E top string with my little finger. The helped me alot.
You play with the pinky?
Usually it's not used on the picking hand. You should use the ring finger.
@@WhiteCranK I just did it that way. My hands are very small so my little finger just falls naturally on the top E string
@@tommaguzzi1723 Better learn without the pinky. It took me 3 years to get rid of this mistake. Don't do the same :)
@@WhiteCranK OK thanks
I love Scottland! And Scotch, too, btw! And hey, propably the thiefs next day didn’t even remember where the stuff was from 🤔
Dude... I just tried it. You taught me how to freeplay blues in 10 minutes. Thank you so much! This is amazing!
That's awesome to hear! Keep strumming! 🔥🎸
“When I was sexteen years old” love you and the accent man, I can’t get enough🙌🖤
Aw cheers mate! Much love back at ya! 🎸🎸🎸
Magic lesson Tony just bit of inspiration to have something up your sleeve no matter what level player you may be 🙌🇬🇧
W0W!
any ideas how to smash my guitar at a gig? Always wanted to do it (with old guitar) any ideas be greatly appreciated. Thx
I love your accent
You’re not teaching guitar, man, you’re teaching mojo! Great lesson, thanks!
Haha love it man! Thank you 🤘
Blues you can use!
Can’t wait to share this one with a friend who is struggling a bit with soloing and improvising. Just the ticket! Cheers, Rick
39 seconds in, and I am laughing my off ,
Reminds me of the hendrix song/ video
🎶 I woke up hung over this morning.. 🎶 And my woman, she was gone 🔵 🎵🎶
balmaha by any chance??
🤠
What key did the traveller play in? Pi-key.
11:30 To hear it all together (usually helps)
That story at the start is a song…write it.
100 times better than the actual game
At this stage of my learning, I'd be afraid to take my guitar to a camp fire, someone would chuck it on the fire. Great vid, I'll keep watching, re winding, and learning from it.
Until you spoke you reminded me of Russell Crowe. Nice video.
If I ever visit my ancestral home of Ireland I need to meet and take some lessons with Tony.
I am a hillbilly for the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Maybe it's because of my hard to follow accent, but I understand every word this man is saying. The Scottish accent isn't far off from the backwoods hillbilly drawl. 😂
Ditto. Grew up in the hills and valleys of rural PA. No problem understanding whatsoever.
7:37 that made me chuckle :)
That story 💀
First step: find friends
Every time I hear the walk up to that B7 I'm expecting the riff for Folsom Prison
This pleasant fellow pronounces the note name "e" with such an extremely heavy accent it sounds like he is saying "a". Groundskeeper Willy.
Aye!😂
starts 2:00
This is lovely and i want to get it but... Just got home from 13 hours at work and my brain isn't braining and my fingers aren't....... Fretting...
Save the video to watch later
@@michaelshannon6558 thankfully, this is what I did.. I'll go through it again over the weekend 👍🏻
Campfires in Scotland? Those last about 2 minutes.
I've had them last for days in Wisconsin
“All of our stuff had been stolen”. Payment for the entertainment…
😂😂 good way of looking at it I guess
🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
like your channel but your pronunciation of B D E C G all sound the same to us in the USA
Sexteen is a tender age
Yeah that’s cool that’s a trick. But me and my buddy came compose real music real songs on the spot from nothing real songs not a generic kind of song but songs with substance good words and interesting changes when we would play gigs 50% of what we played was never played before and on rehearsed and made up on the spot, and the people never knew, we would get asked who did that song, what album is that song on?
Me too
@@DietersYT sure..!
Are you saying that you and your “Buddy” make beautiful music together?
Translation into English please
Bruh lol
Dbag move here
Dunno whT your listening to but this is English lol
😂
Hahahahaha
